not so much if you expect Fated Hearts raw encounters or Shadow of Love cuteness and fluff. This is not for little girls who want to see people kissing. This is more for the story and characters.
I feel for Eddy and Tong to play in this-could it be a money laundering project that they were "asked" to do? Because there is no way something like this could be considered serious film-making. I bet every person who rated it higher than 0 is doing it for the actors
well I watched the first episode and was disgusted with what they show (not the drama itself-the child actress is AWESOME!!!) so if you can stomach an asshole stealing his wife's family medical knowledge and money (which got him a lucrative position and fame) and then (when she is beat up by a customer who did not like her treatment and got him demoted) refuses to attend to his dying wife and in the process kicks own 10 year old daughter begging for help, followed by stabbing the hands of his own sister who comes to treat the dying wife (while the whole clan looks on, the husband laughs and the daughter screams held in place by an evil concubine) - then this is could be another revenge story this time of a female physician bringing justice to her mother's spirit. I read Deng Hua Xiao so this is along the lines of the ability of a weak physician to exact her vengeance, but I can't say I am really looking forward to watching this one. Particularly because the bgm is stolen from A Familiar Stranger and I simply cannot let that sound be polluted by the visuals that are downright vicious. Watch at your own risk.

I was curious how are they going to do this drama without time jump (in the novel FL had lived her first life and then jumped back to the days we see in the drama here to live it the second time around) since CCP does not like the "time travel" or rebirth" but after reading the novel I was just curious how are they going to deal with the whole sister-in-law and her younger brother-in-law, Now I am on ep 8 and it really has little to do with the novel. I am watching because I am hoping for something that will take my breath away or at least grab my attention, but nah. nothing so far. just watching and doing laundry, cooking and cleaning while it airs.

same here. I just started Fight for Love and while I could stomach the novel what they did with drama is just plain boring on big budget. Here at least I get nice balance between character development/reveal and roles that are not exactly what one expects from the mini drama. On the other hand... I am starting to question the freedom of the emperor in moving around - even with the Regent's grip on things.
