He does not care about the fact that she wants to marry another dude and disregards even the consent instead sociopathically clinging to the belief that she will fall in love with him if he keeps her literally caged and is intimate with her whenever suits him. A good deal of manipulation, blackmailing and good old-fashioned violence makes it a good watch for anybody who likes that stuff particularly closet DSM folks. no need for sorry. We are all entitled to our guilty pleasures, right? And yes, they are awful sometimes but if the time is right I might enjoy them (at least being ticked or fuming over a bad VD) - if not the ideals portrayed at least how ridiculous the acting was. As a matter of fact, I was recently on a Zheng Feng spree of dramas and honestly he plays in so many bad ones (being a good actor!) that I had to utilize Radical Acceptance and Forgiveness to be able to continue watching😂😂😂

of course! Watch 7 then 9 then 8 and all will be as it should be. In these mini dramas they hardly ever start new episode with a new scene so when I saw the opening scene of 8 (after reading the comments here) I jumped to 9 and all was as it should have been
I do not love this sequel as it is for the most part home econ manual to me with redundant portrayal of how clever she planned and prepped. And while there are a few romance moments this is not enough to keep me interested - watching at 1.25x at this point also because the FL is annoyingly like a genius in everything to the extent, I am waiting for her to walk on water and raise the dead.
oh how I wish he played better roles, not just sob and narcissistic/psycho combinations. Mou Qing Gu and Huan Qin Hou Wo Shun Bian Huan Le Jiang Shan, Hen He Li Ba were lovely.
