a romance with unusual setting

I am on the Chen Tian Xiang (ML) spree watching everything he played in 2025 and there is a lot! (23 dramas 20 of which he plays as lead). So I have a chance to compare him in different roles (mostly costume) and I am impressed. He is a very good, expressive and natural actor. Here he plays two versions of self: the ruthless regent and meek scholar - both to win the girl he fell in love with.
The premise is simple and plot predictable so -with little surprises - we can indulge in clever moves, growing romance (plenty of kisses! and other intimate moments) and an interesting attitude of the leads.
FL is living her life second time around, so we watch how she sets up her husband and his family into ruin and while she makes choices to accomplish that she is expressing definitely modern ideas about women's rights, needs and independence to choose. The ML somehow follows her lead and so we can enjoy him being almost perfect boyfriend/lover who in the end marries into her family (matrilocal).
This feels completely like Please Come into My Heart (with the same lead actress which I rated 8/10) minus modern transmigrated FL in the plot. ML is a submissive boytoy who only shows his fangs to defend his girl. It was not as much fun as Yun Meng Gui with the same lead actor (which I rated 8/10 as well).
If you have nothing to do and like cute couples with a woman who calls the shots, you can spend 2.5 hours on this.

If all emperors were this dumb how would the real China survive 5 thousand years?

I like Patrick Quan. And that is the main reason I wrote this review: to redirect his fans to something better as I had never written a review for something this bad. Do not waste your time on this. The story in itself was a compilation of old used tropes and done in such a way that honestly I played at 1.5x and it was still annoyingly repetitive. I started watching because of Quan Pei Lun who is a decent actor and excels in the roles of villains (most recently in Gemini where he was very, very good). Alas, this production, even though it gave him the lead was so bad - starting with script, pacing, characters, acting and editing- I actually regret the 90 minutes spent on it.
This could have been a decent drama: imagine woman who saves a prince but does not know it's a prince because he lost memories, but stay together for 3 years living great life as married couple. He prepares for taking imperial exam and as soon as he comes to capitol regains memories and is swept into the life of the court, ultimately forsaking the woman after people sent to get her report she disappeared. Years pass and one day capitol is buzzing with a news of someone selling really unique oyster sauce. As now emperor ML tastes it (fond of it as his wife from amnesia times used to cook it for him). So he tries to acquire the person with that unique recipe only to discover it's a kid who is cooking his mother's recipe and his mother has been in a coma for years and looks like an old lady (she was pregnant when emperor left her and she aged unexpectedly during coma). Emperor is impressed with the kid, but due to gluttony develops allergic reaction to the sauce and so the court demands kid's/mother's life for poisoning his majesty. To make things interesting the "wife" or a woman who looks like long lost love of the emperor appears, but is only a substitute provided by the Dowager Empress. Miraculously the woman in the coma wakes up and recognizes her lover only to be ridiculed and repeatedly beaten up for daring to pose as Emperor's love. Needless to say the fake lover is trying hard to kill both the old lady and the kid. The emperor does amazing job to get to the bottom of things and saves both his woman and his son.
Well, if that was the story I may have given it 7.5-8 if played well. But what you will actually see is nothing described above. It is never ending fest of a dumb as a box of rocks emperor moves (summed up by the fake lover as "really useless") and people around him doing the usual rolling of the eyes, tight jaws, frowns and fake crying, with occasional murderous glances and vicious fake laughs (ha ha ha ha ha). Even the cute kid actor could not save it.
Honestly, watch the last 7 minutes and see if it will make you move. If not, skip it.

Clever, funny, well-acted romance with time travel you will enjoy

I know that there are some people who did not like it because of the ending but let me tell you: you will enjoy this costume drama regardless of what comes in the end!
What I enjoyed was a clever story of time travel with complete reversal of the roles, epochs and such, and an ending that actually makes sense and you will like it too if you pause for a moment and get your breadcrumbs together.

I enjoyed humor, particularly three male concubines in the Cold Palace. I liked the consistency of the personalities and how the actors played them, I loved the scenery - nothing familiar about the vistas, architecture of the main location and decor/costumes/makeup. I really liked the music, the theme sung by the female singer (I have not yet looked it up). Yes, it was smaller budget miniseries, but editing was good as was the artistic concept of this thing.

Now, in all honesty I am not sure how you will interpret the plot but here is what I got out of it.
In the coup staged by the 2nd prince the Emperor of the Southern Kingdom is killed and the Crown Prince framed for it. The Princes, FL, quelches the rebellion, bans CP and takes over the throne because she is a kick ass heroine, and her 2nd brother can't measure up. Unfortunately, during the coup the Princess (now Empress) witnesses the death of a brave warrior who actually dies saving her - in her arms I must add. We see that he gives her a bracelet in some scene so we know that he is someone special but can't really tell how close he is to her. The freshly crowned Empress grieves her father, exiled brother and the man who died in her arms while looking at the bracelet and as the bracelet falls apart, the Empress gets transported into the future.

She ends up 1000 years later with a movie star (who looks just like the guy who died protecting her) and because of a paparazzi taking some compromising pictures, she ends up being shoved into the position of the spoilt brat star's assistant. Luckily, her guard gets transported as well and the two of them get to know the modern times while trying to figure out how to get back to their own time. There is a Fairy Goldfish that reveals to the Empress that she must get the movie star fall in love with her, if she is to go back, so you know what is going to happen next. In the process the Empress encounters a man who reminds her of her 2nd brother, the villain, and she even gets to act with the ML she is falling in love with thus enraging the pouty female lead in the drama they play together. The learning of life in 21st century is not a breeze for an ancient woman also because the guy she works for is a prima donna. But they are getting closer and fonder of each other. There are even sweet moments there. But the Empress is determined to find her way back and her guard works on it too. Finally, when she and the guard are ready to go back, as luck would have it, the ML who is completely head over hills with the Empress (and is now accepting that she is from another time) confesses to her. Alas, Empress really wants to go home and rejects him, but before she does that jealous female movie star rams her car into the garden and ML saves the Empress once again. Unluckily, he dies in Empress' arms after that, and his blood and her tears activate the bracelet that he was just offering her as a proposal token. As a result, she and the guard go back to their times. Luckily, ML goes back unharmed too just because Fairy Goldfish said so.

And now we get to see the Empress in her own element and ML trying to survive in ancient times while trying to get to his love. And he is not having that much fun because the Empress is avoiding him! Why? The first thing that the Empress learns from the Fairy Goldfish upon returning is - the fate of her and ML is set: he will always die protecting her-in any life. The Empress is terrified because she saw him die twice, so now she is staying away and even after ML becomes a harem boy with two other cuties, there is no getting to her. Banned to the Cold Place the three male concubines do a song and dance routine to gain Empress favor. That is interspersed with gross, but funny beating up of the Northern Kingdom Prince who is being pushed as a husband for the Empress. I will spare you the details, there are twists and turns like first Empress declaring that women can sit for imperial examinations and be officials, then that each man can have only one wife and no concubines, then injuring her leg during daily yoga and ML procuring a wheelchair, then ML being poisoned by the 2nd prince who is aware of the Empress fondness of ML (ML again ends up nearly dead in her embrace!) and the Empress facing giving up throne or not getting antidote for the ML's poison. In the end both leads are victorious: he is detoxified, and she catches 2nd prince red-handed in rebellion. When all is done and we are watching them reunite, there is an assassin shooting an arrow at the Empress and - well you guessed it: ML dies protecting his love.
Did you like it? Of course not! How to like watching her holding him dying for the 4th time? Except...
As the snow falls on the Empress holding her dead lover the camera zooms out, director yells, cut and wrap-up and we realize that the Empress never went back to the Southern Kingdom, but stayed and became a movie star acting with the ML and they have their thing going on.
It was a clever story with a HE but not the ending we were expecting and that is why I am giving it 9!

Actually a very nice love story.

What a nice love story with good, bad and ugly parts, but for me (who is hunting for perfect villains) the evil prince was the reason for giving the high rating. Yes, he is that good! Everything that other people wrote so far about this is true: horrible Eng
translation, twists and turns of the plot, bizarre elements, chemistry btwn Xiao Mei and Qing Zhu is good and the sad ending turned happy with the reincarnation makes the viewer satisfied. The complaints about the sadistic SML fell on death ears as the production was really nicely balancing the doses of SML's evilness with ML's goodness. So here is what I loved about this mini drama:
I started watching this after I saw that the ML from Love in a Dream (and he was really tugging at my heart there) was co-starring with my favorite heartthrob Li Fei here. In Love in a Dream Zhang Jin Yun was "the man" all gentleness with chivalry, but meant business with enemies. Here, he is a powerhouse of unscrupulous evil. BRAVO Zhang Jin Yun!!! He is playing such a delicious villain who never disappoints no matter how much we want him to show a bit of humanity, he is a psychopath to the brim and has absolutely no feelings for anyone, because he just wants to exercise his power over FL for fun and personal satisfaction. Unlike other bad characters in other dramas this role is magnificently played without overdoing rolling of the eyes, murderous facial expression and jaw like that of a shark. Humiliation score of the evil prince is 10/10. Even in the last scene with him, where he is trying to get Qing Zhu back his "desperation" has nothing to do with love, but mere need of a narcissist to have another person to torture. WOW! He is full of malice in such a chillingly charming way that I am going to watch him in every production available out there with Eng subs!!! Love Li Fei smiling... but the poor guy seems to be the magnet for being a porcupine - meaning being shot by arrows by his opponents. I am loving it even though things got (or should I say goat LOL) nonsensical in ep 15. And let me tell you about the FL lead... Zhu Li Lan sent me looking up her dramas and I am watching out for all 6 (!) new titles she is starring in as a main actress (no release date available yet). Overall this was really well played, interestingly scripted (if a bit excentric at times) decently made and masterfully acted drama.

Fantastic story great chemistry superb acting

I am in awe of this script-the plot, the characters, the dialogues and the details that are oh so skilled dancing on the edge of impossible and real, horrible and human! Deliciously blood curling with villain hiding in the plain sight!

I am not big on angsty dramas, but this became "bite my nail" show halfway through and I was glued to the screen regardless of
1 really knowing how this is going to end (but staying on the edge of my seat how they are going to pull it off)
2 the poor YT version with little music (borrowed from other shows, but instrumentals with drums were great)
3 violence against women by other females and men who claim they love the victims (but somehow it was done in the watchable way).
I usually pay attention to dramas with these things (and avoid them), but honestly it did not matter here because from the first scene there was enough to grip my attention and keep me watching. Mostly the bad boy first prince 🤣🤣🤣

From the synopsis we know there is a love triangle, but - is there, really? For me there was only one character pairing, and you would have to be blind to not notice how the First Prince and his assassin were intertwining their bodies, emotions and fates.
Pluses:
I loved how the two princes were written and portrayed -they made me feel for them right away and shift my allegiance with the developments in the story.
I loved the FL - the actress did an amazing job to show us the whole ordeal being bread and butter of the women's life in feudal China-her character was real and evoking compassion.
I also loved the chief eunuch - I have no idea how and why such unimportant actor made me remember him. Check him out for yourself!!!
The director zeroed in on the players and the dynamics among them- their background explained sufficiently, their personas very distinctly showcased and the actors overdoing themselves to truly inhabit the roles.
Minuses:
If not for the shortcomings of VD - we get shortcuts to save time and the sound straight from the stage - this would have been an easy 9 for me.

dubious morals, rotten or ruthless characters, not much steamy romance

I am trying to not die of boredom watching full length c-dramas this week (recently aired ones being just that) and this popped on my IQIYI feed next to Trace the Shadows of Time (could not find it on MDL with Eng title but was changed since) with Zheng Feng, so I watched them back-to-back and here is my impression.
Love of Black Lotus is for folks who like ruthless or rotten (but cute or charming) characters with at least dubious (or no) morals. Here we get a really cute FL who cultivates hatred and scheming attitude (courtesy of scheming and hating environment) and as a result does all kinds of evil deeds without batting an eye. She is trying to manipulate ML who is drop dead gorgeous and somehow adores all her evilness while not being that bad himself. Their interactions are actually not ruthless per se as, apparently, they are really a match made in heaven. The tropes are just mundane and predictable and people who like violence and humiliation will enjoy it.
The benevolence of ML gets stamped with "I don't give a hoot" in the end while FL from "I don't give rat's ass about anybody" grows to semi self-reflective in the end, with happy ending that for me was really a relief that it is over, but here is why I enjoyed watching.
1. Very handsome ML and very pretty FL
2. Waiting around to get yet another joke about ML being a eunuch (incl. his clothing rising upon ingestion of aphrodisiac)
3 Recognizing yet another stereotypical moment from other dramas
4. Identifying OST borrowed from at least 10 full length dramas. Around ep 7 I became acutely aware of the music used in this micro-drama. I recognized tons of songs and bgm and then it became a game - let's name that tune!
I have to say that compared to this the other micro called Trace the Shadows of Time (the FL played in both) had a more interesting plot and FL/ML characters so I hope somebody else will post a raving review about this one as I really cannot

Mellow, romantic and thought provoking if you watch with open mind

Don't want to put too many details and spoilers so let's just say this is a story of two people who are distrustful of each other, loathe each other's scheming, but make a pact and in the process learn to communicate, express feelings and accept lies, imperfections and betrayal.
What I liked was the script (story and dialogues) delivered by the actors with good skill. Chemistry between the leads is there, but I know that some folks will not like the monotonous face of the ML and animated FL. However, if you watch till the end, you will know why he is depressed and reserved even when knowing his woman loves him and she gains that same mature love expressiveness in the end as well. Secondary actors did a good job embodying their characters, I personally liked FL's father and stepmother.
Music was fitting and lovely. Camera work so so at times, but overall mood created by specific light, angles and closeups was fantastic. It did not have the dramatic feel of Hard to Find, or Money is Coming, but I felt like someone was trying to get us into similar experience as that watching In the Mood for Love. Good editing and for the connoisseurs of kisses the last episode is not to be missed.
Fight scenes or combat was non-existent and thank the heaven no annoying 2FL although there was 2ML budging in.
The most standing out things for me was the (and I apologize for anybody who is not familiar with the Western movies) "gotcha" comment like that in Wag the Dog (what are we paying attention to and why?) and the whole idea of the soul #0598 who gets sent on the mission at different eras. Or at least that is what I got from it.

Kinda boring at this point ep 15

there are two more episodes to go and I am no longer at the edge of my seat. I admit I was watching this drama at first with some reservation as it seemed like a silly mixed identities plot the first few episodes, but it then got interesting with all the courtroom and palace scheming and political duplicity. At ep 14 I started getting tired of never-ending bombs and dire straits that ML was put through. I am sorry but I am not longer able to care how this is going to be resolved. Most of the reviews before me point out the artistry of the ML, but to me the SML, a very young actor, stole the show. He is most believable, most vulnerable character in the entire series, and he plays it VERY well. I will not comment of the +/- of the various characters in this show, they were written as such and so I can only comment on the mastery of the screenwriter to create roles that are either very rich to start with (and we slowly discover their inner workings) or they develop progressively thus giving us a delicious chance to witness that personal growth. In this case, the script falls short in just revealing details of the story that really does not expand our understanding of the characters. I was able to determine who is a good guy and who is a bad guy already, so even switch in the direction does not prove anything, just mundanely proves the already known truths. I still give it high mark because I usually start with 10 for interesting script, fresh ideas in the plot, characters that are not stereotypes and acting mastery. If the FX or cinematography is something memorable and the OST is a part of the characters/situations, then I can keep the 10. Otherwise, I subtract the points. This one has music that I can't recall after 15 episodes. Mediocre script and characters. Acting is good, but visuals are not that great. Frankly, I am ready to go back to The Double as that keeps me entertained at ep 20.

typical tear-jerker made in style

There was no synopsis when I started watching (I am on Shen Hao Nan spree) but from the first scene I knew this was going to be about lovers separated but clinging to each other obsessively. And right at ep 2 I realized this could be like The Tale of Love and Loyalty with my favorite Li Fei, but I was in for a great surprise: this is better in quality of script, twists and turns of the plot, more intricate dynamics among the characters that are impeccably developed and a really powerful delivery.

If you wonder: we get 4th prince and his girl of at least 3 years talking marriage while playing as a couple, making promises and tasting each other's lips - only for the girl to be forced into marriage with the Crown Prince while her beloved defends the country. FL does so to save her family from execution by the dying emperor. Thankfully the king dies and the crippled Crown Prince ascends making his wife the empress. Then the 2nd prince stages rebellion and the FL decided to ask her former boyfriend to come to the rescue. And of course, 4th Prince demands "payment" in return for killing the usurper. One can guess what she has to give him but, if you did not see The Tale of Love and Loyalty, unlike in the short drama from the early 2024 almost all the demanding and some taking here is done in front of the emperor (that is ML pushing for intimacy with her) and FL yielding willingly to become his maid/slave- all fervently opposed by the crippled emperor. No need to add that leads still love one another yet have to stay in their roles because of misunderstanding/outright lie and pride/concern. What follows is humiliation and emotional/physical violence toward FL-also by 2FL and the ML's lovely mother (who would want to have a mother-in-law like this?). And then we get more surprises-the emperor is really the good guy and the 4th prince the villain???

The angst of the leads being deeply hurt/cruel/protective/self-sacrificing/tormented/ruthless is superb however while this is definitely more dramatic than in another drama with the same trope, I was particularly irked by the "logic" behind the leads' decisions: the FL lying to ML about not loving him -to protect the lives of her clan-was not convincing. She could have ended her life (and had plenty of opportunities from the moment ML declared he too could blackmail her with the family lives like the emperor did)! And why is she protecting her emperor husband??? ML's emotional thinking included a belief that a man in a wheelchair could actually consummate marriage and that he had to torment his beloved for the sake of the past intimacy that really made them married before she became another man's woman. And risking her well-being for not good reason. What I did like was the whole good guy/gal turning completely nuts/ruthless and doing it in such a believable way!

I usually drop dramas where there is stupid misunderstanding or immaturity of the characters and definitely will not watch mindless humiliation or violence against people both genders, but I did not drop this because the whole thing was staged fantastically and edited with skill (but I will be honest-the last few episodes were choppy). Also, if there is a rape scene in the drama, I am going to give it low rating as a rule but here, well, I actually was impressed with how they framed it and kept watching also because I cared for all the characters from the beginning (well, maybe not the mother-in-law and 2FL, although the latter was really clever and -dare I say? -likable) and even the times them turning evil did not end my interest. This was much more complex than Li Fei's short drama and for VD this was actually filled with variety of unexpected things giving it the feel of at least a short drama and not VD which usually focus just on interactions between the leads.

The costumes and wigs and makeup were OK: non-intrusive and moving the eye to what mattered: the actors delivering dramatic yet realistic emotions, situations and actions that supported their character portrayal (down to a kick of the fainted FL by ML believing she is faking it). I particularly liked that the emasculated emperor actually cared for his wife and showed more emotional maturity than his counterparts in other dramas (and understandably only to a certain point). And I tell you - whoever wrote the dialogues was a literary master. I will go back to it just to savor that part of it.

Also, the version I watched (Daily Motion link curtesy of Jwells ❤️❤️❤️) had really good bgm even though I recognized half a dozen big budget dramas some of it came from.

This was probably the first vertical drama that both distressed me but also delighted me. Altogether a pretty good watch.

Not what I expected from micro drama (VD) 7.75 for me

I watched the lead actors before (with positive reaction) and so when I came across this, I just had to watch it. To my surprise this was rather good story that consistently showed two people misled by each other's insecurities and stubborn adherence to negative thinking.
What I liked:
FL determined to correct her own mistakes rather than taking a revenge from the first life
ML not torturing or humiliating a woman who shows no interest in him and more self-determination and power than other females there
FL who is smart but also vulnerable (traces of trauma from the first time around make her a real character and not a caricature of a woman)
ML who cherishes his pride with idiotic results, but in the end grows up to try to follow his feelings for the girl he wants
both leads fit the "ancient" role models well and use their assigned roles to their advantage - no stupid modern brains/ideas in historical bodies
character-driven exchanges, crisis and twists in the plot incl. parents who are not self-centered
actors who are very comfortable in their characters where dignity prevails and there is no need for cheap tricks with skin ship and steamy scenes
ending that implies happy resolution, but leaves room for our imagination to create a few other possibilities incl. season 2
What you may not like:
no romance per se where you get frenemies or hate to love or something like that
little of what VD are famous for - provocative bedroom activity or sexual tension
no worthy fight scenes, only a couple satisfying beating the crap out of creeps
no big-time villains and schemers
almost open ending
Alas, the YT version I saw had really no music hence my low score for it (I will be looking for the version in individual episodes with bgm) and eng subs that were either delayed or missing - that is why I am only rating it 7.5 but all things considered - it is an interesting watch.
Also, make sure you watch the version that runs at least 2 hrs 40 min ending in final goodbye.

enjoyable prime example of what VD excels at

Great chemistry underplayed for the purpose of the audience longing for more. FL who is a self-determined power and a ML who is loyal, compassionate for his girl and kicks ass of anybody crossing him, but both smart and open to share intimate moments with abandon and no shame.
A simple story stripped of superfluous subplots and unnecessary explanations presented in a concise (even if at times illogical) manner with just a few characters that exude humanity (the good the bad and the ugly) and actors who embody these characters and give their best to make us care about or hate them. All of that presented in (what I call) VD frames: selective focus on mood with the use of close ups and extreme closeups and chest+head shots interspersed with use of color/lack of it, blurring/fog/muslin cover that take away attention from well-known vistas, locations, exteriors and interiors and make you connect with the feelings on the screen, but with immaculate costumes, hairdo and makeup and occasional artistic detail that is very pleasant to watch. Except the occasional bumming of the shot like the failure to erase the wires from the falling down shot 🤣🤣🤣
I really enjoyed the mature (age and screen work) acting of the leads including almost chuckling moments and since I am not a fan of angst but collaboration of the leads - this was 7.25 for me.

If you are here for Cheng Lei - you will enjoy it!

This was funny and cute, and touching and ridiculous all rolled into 40 minutes of light comedy. The idea of a modern woman getting into a dating game set in ancient times where she is to accomplish certain tasks as directed by the "viewers" while trying to become the Empress. Unfortunately, the Princess Royal poisons the FL with the promise of an antidote as soon as FL kills the Emperor, her brother. The best part is: the Emperor, NPC, is indestructible so even though they conspire to fool the princess royal they are hilariously trying to kill him many different ways, which is pretty fun to watch given their seriousness with such a silly premise, and in the process fall in love.
I enjoyed the FL as spunky and clever character (unfortunately she plays leads in really bad dramas, too bad because she is both very pretty and good in her role) and of course the at ease ML who can be at times sarcastic and at times shy like a little boy - adorable like he was as Jin'An in Shadow Love.
The chemistry is there and because of the length of the story this was really easy to watch.

transmigration?

It starts off as a transmigration story, a modern girl gets thrown out to ancient realm for some reason. We see her trying to figure out her newlywed cold/distant husband as well as the results of the shock of everybody nearby with her new spirit and personality. Yes, cute and light. Then we get a twist in the trope as the girl and her spouse switch bodies/souls and learn to like and support one another -again, pure fun as M/FL are really good embodying the opposite gender roles. Then we start wondering about the transmigration as we see the leads in modern times in not so good situation: she lost her memory of their happy marriage, and the spouse suffers by her bedside. And then the usual fight for the throne with the Crown Prince, as well as avenging dead mother plot of ML, while FL is still trying to figure out how to get back to her modern reality and life. And then we wonder if perhaps these two lovers are shown in two lifetimes as twin flames: on and off again...? And then we find out that the transmigration is really the modern wife's subconscious attempt at getting at the truth about her "happy marriage". I loved the ending in both story lines - not really an open ending or a cliffhanger, but a nudge toward what might happen with these two in the next reincarnation. The acting was good, OST well done, editing and production for this 12 minute mini series commendable.

Very satisfying watch-taking power back from males

What I liked:
1. The plot per se is not innovative but we get to see how a modern person can make the moves that we all wanted to make when watching c-drama's excruciating scenes of females scheming against females, males being duped by females, males forcing their power on females and males getting their way just because of that small part of anatomy women do not have (and I do not mean brain, of course, because FL here shows her sharpness both mentally and her claws-literally!).
2. Both lead actors were having fun with their roles. It looked and felt like everybody (slapped parties included) liked what the drama was getting at (taking power back from guys)
3. The feel of satisfaction where this story was heading which really helped with suspending the logic of the whole "modern readers getting into a book about ancient times" concept.
What I did not like
not a thing. This was fast paced, engaging, fun, with just a hint of seductive.

Just be prepared for a lot of thoughts voiced over.

6.25 really for the horrible quality of no post-production

I think this was a college students project for a term or year-end grade. And as such I would give them pass only.

The story was good, but I am not sure about the logic of the endings' ambivalence -this was a clear cut for me with no if. Also I did not like the unnerving characterization of the people in lead although the acting overall was not that bad, but
Everything else was just unacceptable in the version I saw- the sound was raw and no music so I am going to give it a benefit of the doubt and rate 6.5 but watch at your own risk
-bad wigs
-bad makeup
-uneven lighting
-polluted sound
PLEASE, whoever had seen it in a better version- post your review and prove me wrong!
I came to see the lead actors who are pretty good, but I feel sorry for them for this one.
