The first case, with the girlfriend of the golfer, it reminds me of the Cecil hotel case, where the girl was found in the water tanks. However, they only found her body was there because guests complained the water started to taste weird.... I know horrible.
I wonder why this wasn't the case in this drama, because the Elisa Lam case is very well known. It felt like they drew inspiration from it. Maybe to switch things up with how they wanted to solve the mystery, or more likely, the tanks for this hotel were used for emergencies rather than everyday use. I just wanted to share because that's what I immediately thought of when he looked toward the cisterns.
Thanks! You know, at the beginning I was worried it was my own implicit bias thinking that women should be likable…
Exactly how I felt! Like I don’t expect my male leads to have a smile on their face, that’s why I tried to rationalize it. She lost her whole family and couldn’t care less for other troublemakers… but no pause? No adjustment to this new body you’re in? I also value likeable characters. You may not have to be morally just but I want to understand you, and I felt I was trying to hard to. And as a main character, you are most of the time liked by so many, so If question how people like you if I’m struggling to. Like dilraba’s character in the long ballad, I don’t know if you’ve seen it, but she was such a bland character I questioned why so many wanted to help her in her journey. But I guess you said people in the show thought she was cold and scary so must’ve been the point! Respect for that. But that just means she isn’t for me, so I shouldn’t have to force myself. And if Im not missing too much, then all good!
I really appreciate this review. This is exactly how I felt for the first three episodes I watched, but I guess I don't have as much patience as you because I have no interest in continuing. I was caught off guard by her cold personality, and lack of empathy. I tried to rationalize it, but I guess I just don't prefer those kind of characters. And yeah it's nice to see love at first sight, but reading your review it seems like that was his whole thing. Shame it has a good plot, I'll be missing out. But great review!!
She is not Sasaeng, she is a normal fan...She buys merch, goes to public concerts, and supports her idol. She waited…
Yeah that's fairs, I've had those experiences but I guess it's hard for me to understand these exact types of situations, like for a single person, especially someone you don't know. As a kpop fan who has never felt such strong feelings toward my fave artists, I've always never understood these types of fans. But it clearly exists. And since it's a drama, as you said anything can happen. Even the extreme. I'm not saying you didn't say it's extreme by the way lol I was just doubling down. Thanks!

I can accept not sasaeng cause the terminology is heavy, but it definitely crosses into extreme lmao... you don't base your life decisions and career path on your idol just cause their songs really connected with you haha
This is the only drama that the sml didn't outshine the ml this year. Kang Hoon is so damn fionnnnnnnnnnn sorry…
I've been waiting to see Woo min as a lead but only after seeing the trailer for this did I realize.... you know what... how have I not been waiting for Kang Hoon!
Question before I start, is the female character like one of those super clumsy, immature women that we get sometimes... like women who are supposed to be 20-30s and yet acts like a child. I promise I'm no woman hater lmao the infantilization of women in dramas is super real. Always making them a ditzy airhead that can't do anything, constant damsel in distress (not even like ohh she's gonna trip, but she literally can't do her job) From clips I've seen, she seems a lil clumsy or immature but it gets to a point right? So... so far, does it reach that point or is she just "quirky."
He is a Psycho seeking pleasure by putting up ppl to finish his laundry list.... He just wants to tame Park Hae…
I also think it's just because the psycho is a psycho lmao but so much of the entire plot is going forward simply because that.... like Hae Gang's plan is completely exposed and he would not have made it this far if that guy wasn't a psycho... It just excuses the writing a little bit. I want to see Hae Gang play with him a little too, show his smarts but this plot is moving forward simply by the psycho. I think that part just frustrates me.

Yeah it made me upset they did that, the show just ruined them like that! It’s like in other shows when the second lead is literally the most perfect person but he does something and his chances are completely gone. Yeah their situation isn’t horrible but I was hoping they would dig deeper into it as young moms are also an important group. And of course everyone should sympathize with the rental units but it’s suk Jin’s love for her apartment complex I was like okay I guess…
bruh, I just have to say zhang ling he going from a super highly rated (and to some, overrated, but one of my faves) show to a 6.9 is wilddddddd. I haven't seen it so I can't speak on why it is this rank, nor am I criticizing him, I just think it's crazy. Then again mdl ratings are not your best measure. But a 6.9.... lmao
Love how they subverted the cliche truck of doom and made it their own featuring the actual protagonist of the…
I thought it was super preachy out of nowhere but I appreciate the social commentary. It's important to tackle these topics especially if your drama is surrounding apartments and its residents. I just wish they didn't wrap up the situation with the young mothers like that and make me sympathize with Suk Jin completely. I respect her but it feels like they're trying to make it seem like her way of loving her home is the only right way.
I don't know why he would make Hae Gang be the one to kill Hari's sister when he seems to have killed many many people and has not gotten caught. It's so contrived, honestly so much of this plot is its laughable but I'm still watching. They just keep forcing Hae Gang's situation to get worse. The overall plot is so intriguing, trying to take money from a guy to give to another guy who plans on returning it to the original guy (and the original guy knows literally everything and is lowkey manipulating it). And episode 9 is looking crazy, like what a stressful situation. I just want to see this play out but it's hard when it's easy to question little subplots furthering the story.
I need this to air nowwww, I can't wait for this! I've been struggling getting into the ones that have been airing this summer, but this excites me! Fingers crossed for September 🤞
In my opinion, I feel like the issue lies in the directing, editing, and some sound effects. It gives off major…
I guess expectations played a big part of it, considering Linghe coming off of POJ, the big budget, and the fact this is based on a novel. Maybe it was easy to disappoint! Yeah, I'll probably jump in cause my opinions don't alwayyyss align with the majority. Thank you
Yoooo 7.6 is crazy, is it that bad (I know you can't trust MDL but usually at least a 7.9 or an 8)? I haven't started cause I wanted to hold off for couple episodes. I'm hearing stuff mostly about the cinematography but how's the plot and romance? Honestly it has be good or I don't know if I will be able to enjoy it. I never really paid attention to cinematography but after dramas like POJ and Blossom did I realize how shtty the camera work is in other dramas, or not even bad but definitely mediocre. And if it's as bad as people are saying, another aspect of the show has got to carry. So let me know!
