That's the typa stuff we'd see in dramas where you have unrealistic characters, poor writing, a tropey drama just to feed people's desires. Do you think you could love someone who loves you if they kill someone just caused they annoyed him? Someone that traps you in their home, is abusive to you and your child, physically and mentally, but all in the name of love? If you do, then nothing I can say would help you understand.

Even if she thought to love him despite ALL the horrible things about him., in reality, he would never change. He has goals, desires, that her love will not stop him from achieving...

Yes, Chang Yu isn't a rock! She will melt eventually when he says all of the right things! I can understand though Xie Zheng's need to be reassured, girl ran away immediately lol but she also said all the right things today.

Loved their healthy communication. He loves her so much and wants to protect her, but if he does that, she won't be the Chang Yu he loves. He respects her wishes, but will still secretly protect her lol. Both sides are happy.

I just read that underwear part in the novel and I was so uncomfortable LOL LIKE UGHHHH I'm glad they ain't doin nothing freaky like that in the drama.

I'm also glad that he is not as cold, it makes all that he says more believable. I wouldn't believe novel Xie Zheng saying his time in Lin'an was the happiest in his life if he was constantly scowling at Changning lol

I struggled to get into it, was lowkey in a hate watch, because I was confused why people liked this show soo much. I got to episode 7-8 and it finally got me. If you can bear until then, then maybe you'll enjoy it lol

I also think it's more both, but I do think he has a more green personality. In the novel apparently he is more cold, lowkey annoyed by Chang Yu and Changning in the Lin'an village arc lol... which is why I like that in the drama he seems more chill, because I can believe him saying his time in Lin'an were the happiest days in his life. He must've put up a cold shell, but he could be more of himself when he was with her.

Omggg this is too hard to think about. I personally loved the slow mo shot of him pulling her hair tie off, the directing of that scene was so nice. Aesthetically, him lying in the cold snow, just next to the light of the fire. The colour grading is so pretty. In yesterdays episode, I really liked Chang yu on the battle field with her but her squad. There’s a short scene where two flags move aside to reveal them standing, reeling in everything.

She made rash choices, it’s hard to justify them. But they did that on purpose so that once she becomes a true general she doesn’t make decisions based only on her heart. If she made good decisions from the getgo then what’s the point right! I also hope we can see more thought about Changning soon.
