Am I the only one still enjoying the show? Kinda disappointing :( I miss the days of the positive reception early days... Although, I can completely understand people's grievances with the show in this latter half. Some problems with the writing are hard to ignore.
I liked todays episodes too. The scene with her and the tutors was funny, albeit a waste of time considering how much else we could've used the time for. I liked the scene with Yuanqing and the other guy in the jail cell, very well done. I would've liked a fight scene between Xie Zheng and Yuanqing but it seems they don't want to waste scenes on his fights because "he's so good the fights will end in seconds." It doesn't add anything to the plot, but heyyy for my enjoyment! I'm tired of just seeing him aura farm, I want to see the aura gain.
I also adored Reset, the whole show is great in my books, I enjoyed the subplots of each of the character's on the bus, my only problem was the ending. It was disappointing it only took a small talk to get them to stop lol.
I find that these tutors scenes are lowkey unnecessary, FCY may be an uneducated village girl but why make her…
I actually found it really funny, and enjoyed it, but I did feel considering how much they've cut out or changed, they could've used most of that time for other things. Like I would've enjoyed a fight scene between Yuanqing and Xie Zheng.
Sooner or later y’all will realize Changyu really doesn’t deserve Xie Zheng 🙌
bruh how?! lol If it's about her pushing him away, she did it for his sake. That does come off as noble idiocy, a trope I hate to see, but I can understand her point, and won't hate her for it. Her problem is hard to ignore between them, but she should give him a chance to decide for himself.
one logic i dont understand......they wear heavy armors in the battle field...still they gt hurt, shot by arrow…
This ain't even a drama question but historical question lol. I'm no historian but they did wear armour back in the day, they must've served some defence, not immunity.
Chang Yu defeated general Shi Hu and Lord Chang Xin is not an ‘overnight’ success. We could see how she struggled…
Exactly this! It doesn't come out of nowhere. The problem is, a lot of it implied so it's harder to see. And because her experience is not on the battle field, it comes at a shock. But she just reached a flow state because despite not much experience she is highly skilled, and we saw that from her sparring, and all her fights in Lin'an, and the apparent training from her father. Now, instead of a 30 second training montage, her "training" is happening on the battle field. It couldn't happen any where better. I just would appreciate her losing once or twice instead of taking out the big bad on her first battle. Glad she struggled though, you described it well.
I do wish we could see more growth montages from her, training etc, true. The thing about the forcing her decisions…
I actually laughed when I saw her escape, like do we really not have enough time? I guess so, a lot of stuff has been cut out I'm seeing now, for time sake or other reasons.
She wasn’t right about anything. She can’t predict the future. And she didn’t do a medical check up on him.…
Yeah we can't say 100% she was right, but she can tell he was hurt, that's all she needed to know. She doesn't need to diagnose the severity of his injuries to care for his life. This all comes from her using her heart over her head. I understand her sentiment, I can see that as a fighter herself she can see how injured he was, but don't agree with it her action. You're right, she doesn't know his full abilities as a warrior. I feel like he could've defended General He, at least bring some reinforcements for him.
And yes, this was totally to allow her to have her main character moment. I really wish Xie Zheng killed him or at least she just gets a final blow while he tells her about Wei Qilin. But I don't mind it because she needed to fight him to learn the information. Everything is becoming too convenient for the plot. It's still entertaining though aha. I was surprised to see what happened with Xie Zheng, he failed at both his tasks, and there was no mention for him not getting to General He. That disappointed me more than letting Sui Yuanqing get away.

Yeah there are inconsistencies but I don't think it's sooo big (other than finding Qianqian, that was a joke lol). The drama set the bar up so high in the beginning that now that it's fallen quite a bit, it's alarmed people. But I still think the show is doing really well. And I have a feeling with these mistakes she's made, they didn't let them slide. They have to show us growth in the last 10 episodes. So I'm not disappointed... YET. For the pig squad, they were with Chang Yu, so they must've snuck out with her like how she snuck out. Yeah let's hope they redeem themselves in the next arc.
My heart was in shambles when she was crying on the field. Great performance from her and her hooligans. Also when confiding to grand princess and Xie Zheng, it sounded so helpless. Love Tian Xi Wei.
I do hope we see more growth so she doesn't feel this way. I can ALLOW her insane skills, killing two very strong characters in the span of a few episodes, without any "real" training montage. We are supposed to believe her sparring with Xie Zheng and General He is enough. The drama is relying soley on the training she got from her father, but we never saw that. I would be HAPPY if they had more training moments.
The thing is, I think her fights on the battle field are her "training montages." Only from her mistakes she makes here, Xie Wu getting hurt for her, stopping Li Huai'an from fighting, will she know what to do in the future. But this is only the case IF the drama actually does this. But I really don't mind like a 45 second training sequence with some badass music lol.
Well, it seems like there was a major drop-off in the scriptwriting and character development in the last few…
I do wish we could see more growth montages from her, training etc, true. The thing about the forcing her decisions on others, I also think that's wrong. But they do address it by Li Huai'an confronting her. I don't think they'd put that there for no reason. Maybe later on, we'll see her allow someone to die on the battlefield, as their last wish.
I also thought her escaping was weird lol, too convenient, could've happened in a more interesting way. Apparently it was different in the novel. I ALSO was confused how the hooligans got out. Like they were conscripted but they were at that rock quarry somehow. After that though, I can see how they followed her. They didn't join the army, they were part of people that brought up the grain so they were allowed to leave along with her.
This guy... he's to pussy to fight Xie Zheng, but when he finds out a girl killed his dad, he wants revenge lol but that girl is none other than Fan Chang Yu, NO LESS than Xie Zheng
I'm glad they addressed Chang Yu knocking Li Huai'an out as a problem. She was right about everything she said, he was too injured, he would've died a senseless death. I respect the sentiment. But.... it was not her place.
