I actually don’t mind it because the show is still super interesting. Yes, their chemistry is insane and I desperately want them together, but as a show, it doesn’t need need them together to thrive. These last few episodes have been super entertaining and didn’t feel like filler at all. They are still integral to the plot, important for character arcs, and will make for an even sweeter reunion! But I still want them to be happy 😭

Yes, I love seeing this. A lot of dramas rely on the romance or intense politics to keep it interesting. Not this one, these episodes are so important for her growth and it’s still super entertaining.
As much as I want to see Xie Zheng and Chang Yu again, I'm really enjoying seeing Chang Yu on her own... because she isn't on her own! She has her pig butcher squad, and grand tutor Tao, and now reunited with her uncle who is spitting some words of wisdom! Talk it out gang!
Sometimes humor in cdramas fly over my head because I'm not Chinese lol, but I'm getting a good laugh out of this show. The grand tutor being petty with uncle zhao for Chang Yu's attention was so silly. A small distraction for this HORRIBLE WEEK I'M ABOUT TO HAVE! One episode per day.... At least our two leads will reunite tomorrow 🥲

I think I might understand you now. You are saying how she can want to save someone she described as harassing her? For example, I want to save someone who raped me? That wouldn't make sense right... so I can see your problem now. The thing is, nobody is taking the word like that, as a strong accusation. A different translation would be, you behaved indecently with me, or you took liberties with me. Rather than fixating on the word, consider the situation as a whole, and maybe not be so rude to strangers on the internet.

You seem to have a problem with her using the word harassment.... when what he did was harassment, please check out definition, because even within husband and wife, this behavior is not appropriate. Forced kisses are a sad trope in dramas, justifying it is a REAL problem. More REAL than her saying the word harassment, which I wonder if that was mistranslated. Regardless... she isn't wrong.
How is her searching for him out of fear mediocre writing? Genuinely think about it. She didn't lose all her love for him the moment he kissed her. She was angry! Can't a girl say a couple things she doesn't mean? If it's pathetic... she's pathetic and IN LOVE! Tell me why you think her searching for him is a problem?
I am only 9 ep in but ML has gotten injured so many times. I am liking the FL but i feel like story is being repetitive…
It was funny seeing how many times he got injured but it was worthwhile seeing the relationship between the two grow. Not just our main leads, but the relationship with the towns people, it will pay off eventually.

That's what I heard after, but kissing out of jealousy just didn't feel right in that moment... that definitely is a reason, but I guess they were showing distinction between Yan Zheng and Xie Zheng

He just kissed her after saying hurtful things. That is harassment! He doesn't have the right to do that. If anything, mediocre righting is letting her be okay with him kissing her after all that. Her searching for him after was out of fear that he has left to die. He has gone to war, unexpectedly. She still loves him but is hurt by being asked to wait for him. Just cause she said that in anger doesn't mean she hates him full stop?

I dont have a problem with her saying that.... she compared him to song yan, because like song yan, he told her to wait. Why should she wait for any of these men? What I did find out of character was him kissing her out of anger. Maybe in the novel it makes more sense, but his character in the drama, not as much.
