The younger sister pisses me off often, because she tries to get involved when she just a highschooler... but mainly because she always wants to head first into these dangerous situations. Like what do you mean take me with you?!? You think you can help? You will just add the list of the people that need to be saved! But then I try and put myself in her place, especially when she was worried about her sister during the bomb one. She is also smart, and although I dislike it when they have these young characters help out and always be at the scene, she is likeable. Like although it annoys me, I don't hate her like other young characters in other shows.
Some people think that in romcoms, the leads doesnt need to work and we just need to have 16 episodes of non stop…
Exactly!!! Like I get it’s a romcom but so you really enjoy things without any substance… kinda embarrassing that that is the type of content you enjoy. If I don’t like the leads, I’m done. And if if there is a sht plot, I’m double done. And there is not much of a reason for me to like junho except that be nice to yoona. I’m struggling finish episode 9 haha.
I am also on the fence with the in your face favoritism that ML shows FL. This show has also helped me see why…
You’re right, her philosophies and ways of leading may show numbers but it’s not right for the employees. But I would like her to a much worse leader, so I can feel okay with them taking the hotel away from her. And most likely true it ain’t cause he’s a boy, but the father is ready to give it to his son after one party when he hasn’t done anything else good… like I would’ve liked to see him try harder as an intern, but he escapes that because of a bad manager or something.
Just wanted to say how I hate how little Gu Won actually works and yet his father is ready to give him the hotel after proving himself with one party. His sister is very capable and the reason they are all still so successful even though she is a little harsh in her managing of all three projects they own. I want to them to show more of Gu Won being responsible and caring to his employees that ain't just Sarang, and I want to see his sister being a terrible leader. I want them to make me believe it, but I'm really not.
Do you think any company leader would say they aren't the boss?! Yeah I know employees are the true leaders, that's just a idealist concept, but be fr, its the ceo who's in charge. Just because of that and the reason she doesn't want to charter a helicopter to rescue their employee when THEY AIN'T EMS!??! Maybe to some these reasons are enough to dethrone her, but give me a good reason Gu Won deserves it. Just cause he invited a prince he knew from school? Cause he cares for his employees (aka only sarang..)? Because of the show not delving into their capabilities and this part of the story, It makes me believe he can easily become the leader cause he is a boy and he is his real son. I dislike it very much if that is the reason and he ends up getting the hotel as if that reason is okay. Only way I will accept that reason is if Gu Won never gets the hotel because he realizes his sister is more responsible than him and she maybe loosens the reigns on the employees a bit.
Other than this annoying part, the romance. I love and appreciate how we didn't waste time with them liking each other, confirming it, having cute moments and all. However, I'm on episode 9 and now that they are together, its just too much. Like I enjoy a good romance but value a good story much better. That might be hypocritical of me because I love something about 1% SOO MUCH, but maybe cause this show is much longer than that, the romance just drags. Like its making me sick of seeing it. Anyone feel the same way about either of my points?
90% of it is just incredibly awkward zoom ins on their extremely filtered out smooth facesHonestly I’d take…
I agree! They do these weird zoom ins quite often, especially this episode. They last quite long, tend to stretch them out like they do in family dramas lol. But they give us enough other moments so I don't mind.
He has asked her out quite often, but I think that is what people like about the show. We really did not have to wait for their relationship. I think they just want to make it official. We rarely see a kdrama that doesn't have a proper confession scene. The only thing thats different is we basically feel like they already in a relationship cause of all the asking.
She does go quite far to impress the guests! The entire time I would've been like haha I'm sorry but I'm already married. She is the best talent though, and she is extremely passionate for this job like I've never seen! She put it nicely, she has too make her job sound special otherwise anyone else could do it. She is basically a maid, but she wants to be a special maid, taking it further than anyone else. It still irks me though lol
I really don't understand all the hype with this drama the reviews are too good for an annoying show the FL acting…
YEAHHH! I love Park Gyu young and want to see her in more lead roles, but this was not it. We don't really know her character, she has no expression, giving a kind of I don't associate with any of you, I'm better than you kinda vibe but she has become one of them, and accepts that. Yet the expression stays the same! She became so popular and all her posts she's smiling, but it doesn't reflect her character at all. I don't know what to believe about her. All this but also her romance, it was great tension, but felt no love, or interest in one another. Just tension lol
Just finished episode one and I’m struggling a little to go on. Never been a fan of the dramas where we have love at first sight at a young age (especially from the female side) cause I’m not a fan of seeing characters chase after them. In this drama, I like her relation with her family and brother but the way she is so into him is making me cringe a little. It’s too cute, very innocent love, but that’s not what I’m a fan of. Ive always been a fan of enemies to lovers, slow burn, or friends to lovers, nothing that clicks right away cause that’s just not how I am. I like seeing the interest develop. However, I’ve seen tik toks and this drama looks good, so I’m wondering how long until she matures a little. Her voice is a big bother, but the biggest thing is how every scene with her is her thinking of him. I would prefer to learn more about her in scenes when she doesn’t think about him lol. I want to see her interest in something other than him. Really hate shows where the whole purpose of the female is just to exist for his love, same goes for male leads too, but you see it more in female leads sadly. Let me know!!
Honestly, now that I'm done, I can't explain nicely what wasn't good with the show. There were so many things but some are hard to explain so I'mma just list some of em out.
- The timeline was weird, the romance never made sense - Shi hyun's character's usefulness (they go on and on how chaehyun only listens to her, but she never listens to her, just says "unnnieeeee" with an upset face) - Shi hyun and joon kyung's background was weird, didn't really get it. Didn't need to make it so awkward if you weren't going to delve more into it. - How there isn't a decent person in this industry and how none of them were canceled for how loud they are - How the revenge really was not that satisfying (like all those episodes just for apologies, divorce, and jail in like 3 minutes?!). Idk why people say the show is satisfying, there are like 4 moments where she stands up against annoying influencers - How annoying they made the mom - How that one lackey girl never fought back with her husband (like what's his attitude for if we don't see his comeuppance) - How the lackey girl said in the last episode she found out that Min Hye was the once who uploaded the post about the club only during Ari's live, but Min Hye made an apology before and said "It was me boo hoo ari made me do it." - The purpose of that one scene with wang lora (why she come in and act, she ain't do anything else), - How often they cut from scenes with suspense and we don't see how it ends. Like kiss scenes make sense, but the scene in the spinning door (did she end up going in the car with him), the scene where wang lora says she will help ari (what did ari say to her, she kick her out?), sooo many scenes - The main character as a whole I did not like. I just don't understand her motives. She said she wanted to die because she said fame got to her and she would've done anything to get it? She said she was as bad as the mean girls.. I don't get it, it feels like we only discover her true motives then. The entire time I was wondering why does she want to be famous? Why is she going through with this? Why does she care so much? She didn't have much expression on her face in any interaction with barely ANYONE, just like blank or melancholy LOL only in her insta photos is she expressive. - Who bbbfamous is, like its annoying its just a random girl that massages the influencers often. I get it, haters could be anyone. But like the show would be more interesting if you made it someone we knew. - Hate the resolution. Very lackluster, didn't do a good job of keeping it suspenseful (except for the deepfake part, that was smart, but like why? Just cause you wanted to sneak up on bbb? Also how did they even find her?!) - The business stuff between joonkyung and shi hyun's husband was also just something that "happens." You don't know how they do it, but they do.
I know I could go on If I went back, but just so many things about this show. Idk I just feel weird when I think about it. It feels messy, but it knows what it wants to be. I CAN'T EXPLAIN IT I'M NOT SMART ENOUGH BUT Its not like it was terrible, but it definitly should not be rated that high. I'd give it like a 7.5 max. It wasn't enjoyable per say but I kept wanting more. I'll give them that haha!
Now hold on... Im episode 10, and you're telling me ari never ONCE checked out bbbfamous's account?! They are the biggest hate account and she never heard of this account? While chatting with them, she was never curious to see if they make any posts? In order to find out who there? She never accidently clicked to their profile!?! You have GOT to be kidding me...
The actress who plays yoon shi hyun looks like a female version of wanna one guanlin, anyone see it? Especially her smile! Look at the flashback scene of her and the ML in episode 8, IDENTICAL!
Isn't the timeline weird... In episode 8 Joon Kyung says to Shi hyun that they have quite a bit to talk about from the other day (they spoke in ep 7), how is the other day?!??! Ari made a whole company and building and got 1.3 million fans in that timeline. So many little things irk me about this show but they got cliches and I can't stop watching lol help me
Last thing I have to say.. The worst part of the show. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying it weirdly, but the worst part is... THE FACT THAT THESE GIRLS ARE NOT CANCELLED YET. Like with how often they having outbursts in public, you're telling me nobody records them and posts it? Nobody anonymously talks about them on some cafesite thing... Especially after that blow up princesschae had with the actress? They don't' even bother to be nice to regular people around them. Nobody talking trash? Song Jia from singles inferno had like 5x the amount of followers they did and she got canceled for something so small. These girls have only like 250k followers and you're telling me they ain't cancelled. Come on now lol
Also can someone explain to my Ari.&? Is she recommending clothing? From what I'm getting, it's wholesale clothing, so she is buying it for cheap and selling it for more? Is that right? But jheez 40000 won? The places she is buying them from looks like regular businesses though? Is it just a warehouse?
I am mid episode 4 and I AM a little CONFUSED.... the theme doesn't feel like its being delved into much. Everything kind of feels shallow, ironic huh! Also, biggest problem is the main character. What are her motives, what does she want? I can't read her.. Does she want revenge? Does she want to be famous? Does she want money? She posts quite a bit from what they show, and she is smiling and posing but she is acting so nonchalant about it.. Why is she acting the way she is?! Do you want to be an influencer or not... WHAT IS YOUR GOAL!?! WHAT DO YOU WANT!?! She randomly posts something about hating being a lackey just cause she was asked to put stuff in a car. You're telling me she didn't know how people would react, yet she read that bibimon person like a book in the second episode. I don't really know her.. I hope things get clearer, it just feels random, kind of feels like main character from girl from nowhere, like she is there to run them into the ground, but WHYYY!??!
Other things.. I don't like how she and the ML are going. Do you still think he tried to sexually assault you, and by his demeanor you think he is like other assaulters? You say you see it all the time, usually they run, or apologize like crazy, OR get really loud and defensive. Kind of lame way to have them introduce, just makes FL seem like annoying. And his way of meeting her was interesting, I would've been annoyed if I was her, but shouldn't she apologize by then and be on he way? What's with dramas continuing to force this hate against characters for no reason.
Last thing! Hate Ari's friend, she annoys me so much lol. She is one of the lackeys she is describing yet we don't get any reaction. She keeps forcing her to do these things she doesn't want to, just to get her friend clout. Its really annoying, but I get she is there to be like this refraction of her.
Paused the drama a while back and decided to pick it back up. Currently at ep 32 (SPOILER FROM HERE ON OUT) and I'm glad susu revealed herself lowkey by calling him Tantai jin, but why can't you be together? She didn't reveal herself at the beginning of the episode because she said the time wasn't right (probably because the demon lord is not completly eradicated, she needs to get rid of the thing in her body I guess?). I appreciated that because she made it seem like they would NEVER be together again, but she gave a reason to why not (for now...).
HOWEVER.... Now that he knows more about being his identity as the future demon lord, and she saw that he almost basically ATE the essence thing but then reject it from entering his body, she can keep him on her side. They can work together to rid of the possibility of the demon lord rising again. Isn't now a good FOR NOWWWW?!?!? But for some reason she rejects him and says to forget about it. GIRL- WHAT DO YOU THINK HE WILL DO NOW THAT YOU HAVE MOVED ON.... She is making it harder for herself?!? At least be on good terms with him so he doesn't become a problem when you are trying to kill the demon.
Someone explain to me please a good reason why she keeps asking him to move on, even after seeing him reject the demon essence cube. After hearing him tell her about how he searched for her for 500 years, she wants him to atone?!? Girl he had all that time to atone. She keeps forgetting he ain't the demon lord, he is forced to be in this position from before he was born. And when the time came for him to accept his fate, he fought alongside you and said NO MEANS NO lol. Even before you showed up he was fighting her. Someone give me a reason or at least tell me she goes to him soon. Doesn't have to be romantically, I just need her to justify properlly.
Can someone recommend good subs other than viki? My comprehension ain't that bad but you miss out on good details and chinese idioms that viki explains.
FL apologized and 2FL didn’t give a shit. 2FL never apologized as of yet and blames FL until this day. she has…
I don't think 2FL should give a shit because she was betrayed. You don't have to forgive someone just because they apologize. However, she cannot blame the FL for what happens after that, pathetic she chooses to blame the women and not her cheating mans.
She knew he had a girlfriend. She did apologized but after 25 yrs lol.In previous week ep,seunghee had decided…
Yeah she should've apologized early, but at least she did, and it was sincere. FRRR Where is their self-respect, staying with a man as such! Like for sunghee, you're not hot young lovers anymore, why does he matter so much! I'm not saying older people cannot desire love and looking good, etc.. but you seriously still like him so much at this age that you can ignore what he did and what he CONTINUES TO DO?!?! Him refusing to leave her is more than enough!
