Still feeling the shock of this...wish this did not happen so often in SK. Makes my heart feel sick.
Why can't the public just enjoy these stars projects and then let them live their own life? It is like everyone wants to own a piece of them. They talk about them as if they intimately know them and even now they aren't leaving him alone. We can blame his less than stellar choices, we can blame the police, we can also blame the woman who was blackmailing him, but somewhere in this mix should be a serving of blame for the citizens. They simply do not support their own stars, Part of his desperation had to be the criticism he faced from his own ppl. And don't go thinking they regret it now..likely they think he deserved it. I don't understand this kind of twisted fandom and I never will.
I think they just hate her. CXX looks older for his age so I think they matched age wise in this drama. In the…
Dunno darling...but it seems like critics are across the board. Ppl feel free to say unkind things...in large part to vent or perhaps it is a way to connect with other viewers. But these critiques are not harmless...and if enough ppl pile on and the noise gets loud enough....it could seriously do harm to their lives and careers. If I were a casting director... would I hire someone who had received a lot of criticism about her age or would I replace her with someone younger? Critiques about performance are different. We can all have favorites...but saying we don't like a series or a role..or character is a lot different than saying we don't like someone's age or looks. How can they change that? How many of us would like ppl saying...we should be replaced in our career because we were too old? It wouldn't feel very good. So respect all around is a good thing,
I have zero personal bias here...I am two years younger than my husband. However, a good friend whose husband is 8 years younger than her... does find this complaint distasteful. Does the age gap make her marriage less legit?
I am guessing here...but perhaps folks just wanted a different female lead to play against him. Otherwise it makes no sense.
Respectfully....choosing a set of years that make the romance appropriate and another set of years where it isn't ...seems illogical. Which number makes it right and which number makes it wrong? Who decides that?
If one lead were much older and another were underage...then that is a crime..and that I do have a problem with for obvious reasons, but this is not that. If she is playing a role...what does it matter what age she is? She is acting a part. I wouldn't mind seeing a 45 year old woman play this role...why would it matter?
Yea that’s why I stopped watching this drama on Viki. Can we write to Viki directly to moderate comments? Did…
It is always women critiquing other women so go figure. I confess I don't get the concept and would genuinely like to know why? Isn't her win a good thing for all women? Don't we want to applaud women who are successful in a climate that is sometimes adversarial for all women?
I promise...I looked at a close up of her face and I couldn't find one line or wrinkle... About the moderators...I doubt it would work.
I have two pet peeves in drama world. This is one of them. Bad styling for the FL is the other. Both wind me up like a clock. Lol. But especially after recent events, it seems unjust. Everyone acts sad when these celebrities commit suicide..but they can't help piling on when they get a chance. If you can....watch that video and tell me what you think..they are lethal together. Lol.
Okay guys, coming here for some clarity. On another platform ppl are really trashing this actress saying she is too old to play this role against the ML. And after the recent celebrity suicide...although his issues were completely unrelated to this critique of her age...it is a reminder that scandals and controversies can make or break celebrities careers. How much responsibility do we bear when we are so flippant with our critiques of these stars? Do we realize that they also keep up with the blogs and the reviews and the comments? As I read their immediate complaints against her....and then I recalled other FL's who are ridiculed for their cosmetic surgeries and botox....I wondered if they would feel so compelled.... if the public did not shame them and want them replaced because of their age.
I sincerely wonder why women are not more supportive of other women?
Most of us lament when we have a FL who is ditzy, talks in a baby voice and does things that bewilder us...we especially hate it when a romantic female lead is wearing teddy bears and pompoms in her hair and she acts like a child.....and (my particular gripe) is when they are styled so badly that it hurts.
So .......when we get a woman who is competent in her job, she is styled beautifully (yay!) and she is near perfect in her character's portrayal, and yet ...without one line or wrinkle, we must call her too old? Give me a break!!!
I found myself wishing that I could post the super HOT YT video of her and Dylan...where he certainly doesn't seem to mind her age..and that kiss (if it was one) at the end was pretty sexy.
So I am bewildered. Do they hate her, or do they hate the character she is playing? If it is her character...that is the part she is given to play, correct? Your thoughts?
For a moment around the 5th episode I wondered if they could keep the momentum rolling, there are so few episodes left...but after 7...it is clear...they are gonna pull it off., Now...if they just don't mess up the ending..this little series has been a very solid one. I love the long looks by the three ML's....very cool. So cool, that I wish it were longer.
Yes, it was. The writers took a serious set back like divorce and flipped the script and made it about a woman's discovery of herself and her talents, and her new zest for life. I avoid a cheating spouse story...but it was anything but depressing..in fact, it felt inspiring. Which is very cool.
Thought the same thing. I am starting to regret the length of the series. Nervous they have a really interesting…
So true. Either of those stories...would be enough material for three more episodes. Lol. His character is too honest to get caught doing shady stuff...but it would be easy for them to set him up to look guilty...especially since a news story....is unfortunately enough to ruin his chances at a scholarship which he so desperately needs. Sooo a pic of him and the wrong person at the wrong place would be enough to ensure his compliance. Idk why they would bother...unless she is related to them and she knows that if he competes with her, they will win...ensuring she gets into the college of her choice? Really crazy guesses...but that is all we have to go on at this point.
Thought the same thing. I am starting to regret the length of the series. Nervous they have a really interesting storyline that they really have no time to develop. We should know more about him and his family for sure by now. There are a lot of working/missing parts so far.
can u explain it more? cuz like i watched all the episodes so far and like the thing with soobin is rly confusing.…
Thanks for that...but the pic was about him and another guy, right? I didn't think it was of her and him or do I remember it wrong. Actually I need to go back and look at the pic again.
After reading the comments below...I think the details are pretty sketchy, so it is easy to feel a bit confused....and with only three episodes left...I am starting to wonder if they are setting this up for a SS? Regardless, I hope they end it as well as they began it...cause it was dang impressive for a short series and I am gonna be so disappointed...if they blow it. Fingers crossed.

It is a little opaque at this point, and there is a lot we don't know. The last episode didn't help, several scenes seemed a bit disjointed...like the one where I am guessing they were in her living room, that seemed odd to me.
hmmm at first I really thought Soobin likes Daeun but MISS GURL is taking advantage of him. Daeun is pathetic…
I agree he looks cowardly, but remember, he isn't that verbal to begin with. Notice in the previous "finger" story with her, she was finding practical ways for him to communicate his feelings and that didn't compare to the seriousness of his issues now. Very difficult to relate to ppl who keep things that locked up on the inside...but for sure the pressure is getting to him and he is gonna cave soon.
I am wondering about Daeun/families end game...what exactly are they wanting from him? Is this about her winning an award that will enable her to get into a certain college or is this her personal love obsession with him? I can't decide. On the one hand...she doesn't seem that into him. It is more like she is using him? But it is pretty creepy all the same.
