Title The Good Bad Mother Spoiler
She is bad also because she does not have healthy relationship with anyone. All her thoughts and decision making…
I've been keeping up with reading recaps and posts. And what comes across to me - from READING (not viewing) is that Kang Ho is much like his mother. They both believed they have acted with "good intentions", and in Kang Ho's case, it was revenge/pay-back for his father's death and mother's sorrowful life. the "end" justified the means.

So, he dumped Mi-joo, became engaged with Ha-young, turned his back on Sam-sik (who, as I understand it - and confirmed by Mi-joo - was innocent/framed). Kang-ho's single-mindededs "good intentions" hurt a great number of people - he really wasn't a good guy for the last several years.

But apparently, Mom is to blame for everything??? Like Mom, the man had choices - and he chose badly.

Title The Good Bad Mother Spoiler
I put this drama on hold several weeks back (but planned to binge/FF when complete) and have tried to monitor…
Question No.1 : Does the regular viewer understand what Sam-sik and Kang Ho were planning because I definitely did not. How did Sam-sik know where Ha-young lived before he left Jourri? Loved the way he engineered that β€œaccident”.

Question No. 2: It was news to me that Sam-sik apparently knows about Tae-soo and Ha-Young. Is this old news? OR – was this new?

Question No. 3: And do viewers still believe that Kang Ho is operating with the brain of a 7-year old because today he was obviously switching back and forth between 7-year old son/young boy and a 35-year old prosecutor with a plan and mission. If nothing else, listening to the recording brought much of his memory back and that’s why he came up with some sort of plan w/Sam-sik – or did I totally misunderstand.

Thanks in advance to anyone who has insight.

I put this drama on hold several weeks back (but planned to binge/FF when complete) and have tried to monitor the story by reading recaps and MDL posts. However, after seeing the pre-lease with Sam-sik and Kang-ho, I watched Episode 11. I have several questions regarding these two and their "plan" and will put them in a spoiler post below. Any answers/insight would be appreciated.

OMG I’m so glad I was also curious and decided to rewatch cause I’m waiting for next weekend. I kinda went…
The synopsis for this drama states: " the weekend drama depicts the story of an unmarried pregnant woman and an unmarried man who enter into a false contract which leads them to romance, pregnancy, childbirth, and childrearing."

If accurate, I think they are going to speed things up in order to get to the "chidbirth and childrearing" phase before the show ends.

Also, I agree with bloomingtide's suggestion that you create a post in the "discussion forum". That keeps it easy to see and other people can provide small details and conversations that will help refine the time line.

Oh, and great job putting this together. I hope you enjoyed the re-watch! 😊

Title Oh! Youngsim
this is so badly written and cliche but honestly my weekly guilty pleasure. surprisingly enjoyable
It's only 10 episodes and they are only 50 minutes each. It is definitely not going to be a draggy plot if we are to reach a happy ending for most of the characters (minus YouTube girl).

Tell me if I am wrong, but I could swear that when the foursome was drinking tea/coffee at Young Shim's house, the mugs were all something out of the 90's - perhaps the oughts? Each one different but the patterns didn't look modern to me.

I'm enjoying the retro vibe from the drama (the way the characters are introduced in the intro? haven't seen that motif in any recent drama, including comedies.

I like the ML and the FL is growing on me (esp after episode 5). We are 1/2 way through the drama, but I don't understand the purpose of Young Shim's sister working for the ML. Chae Dong should crush on her.

Even w/out subtitles, I have watched enough K-dramas to understand EXACTLY what TK said to YD. πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

What kind of character is playing Yoo In Soo. He is my favourite actor but if he is playing bad guy I will watch…
In-soo is my favorite as well. have always believed his character (sam-sik) will be a positive force in the end, because otherwise he serves zero purpose in this drama. Right now, I just read recaps and will binge watch/FF when the drama is complete.

Also looking forward to In-soo in UncannyCounter2 this summer.

Its beautiful story.. "but" im quite sad.. thier real love story starts at final episode..πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ™„πŸ˜•πŸ˜•
And here I thought their romance started in Episode 6 - because that's when they began to fall in love with each other (I refuse to believe that Soo hyuk began to fall in love with her because she started cursing at the Golden Nights or whatever it was called.)

One of the best things about this drama is how eventually both leads come to understand why certain events (Ep. 2 for Bora's event) happened. Lots to unpack w/r/t Soo-hyuk because he is not a man of words/verbal expression.

I'm not sure you are in a minority - perhaps it's 50/50 as to whether their final push/pull love talk was satisfactory or not.

As for the different opinions (I enjoy reading/discussing those as well), with this drama the lines seem to be drawn between those who loved either Soo Hyuk or Bo-ra from the first handful of Episodes. I was Team Soo Hyuk from the beginning so I paid extra attention to every word, glance, smile, and action. Team Bo-ra, so to speak, did the same w/r/t their gal.

I thought they both learned and evolved but Bo-ra always needed verbal assurance (whether garbage ex, Soo Hyuk, Yu Jung, whomever) and Soo-hyuk's love talk was always about action (poem, jewelry, method acting, etc.) . Even in the end, Bo-ra seemed to realize that she couldn't sit back and do nothing - she figured out how to get him to explain his love for her, even if it wasn't an outright "I Love You Bo-ra" shouted from the rooftop which is what I feared and would have absolutely hated.

Even his proposal was action, not words. πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•

It wasn't the ultimatum - because she told him that if he couldn't VERBALLY state his feelings, he wasn't the man for her. The message he received - as someone who had a difficult time expressing his feelings VERBAlLY (he did it time and time again by action), she was telling him it wasn't going to work out.

It was the book - and he finally realized that he wasn't guilty of "swaying her" - she was "swayed" long ago.

I loved the ending.

I'm giving it a 10 because I never paid much attention to the other couples, per se. I thought about subtracting 2⭐ but just couldn't because it's been many months since I looked forward to watching two Charactors (and the actors and their dialogue) this much.

It was worth it for me. As for when they began to fall in love, it was a series of little actions and various conversations which were mentioned throughout Ep. 14.

Title True to Love Spoiler
Finished Ep. 14 and I have debated in my head how to rate this. Some things were spectacular but the cringe continues.…
For fans of Soo-hyuk, it was absolutely pitch perfect.

SH to Bo-ra: "Listen carefully. By any chance. . . . Do I love you?"

and then bo-ra eventually: "Tell me straight out why you like me. . .I can't believe you until you say something convincing." Which he proceeds to do - but never makes an outright declaration (compare and contrast with the Garbage Ex.)

I know most people thought he had to just "man up" and say the words, but that is not the character that the writer portrayed throughout the series He conveys love through actions because he freezes up when trying to express his feelings.
