everyone's frustrated as its the last 2 eps and leads are not officially dating yet, plus we have ex trying to…
Why is it always up to the guy to "define a relationship"???? One reason things failed with Yu-ri is that SHE never asked for a definition.
Meanwhile, I'm not frustrated - I love watching the slow evolution of their relationship. Soo Hyuk and Bo-ra have been mentally trying to figure out what they want from each other and whether they can have a successful relationship. Soo Hyuk needed that final closure with Yu-ri before he was willing to SERIUOUSLY contemplate/decide what he wanted. Bo-ra knows what she wants, but it is 180 degrees opposite of everything she believed before (winners and losers; "be loved more and give love less") and she is afraid of making a mess of things again.
They've been circling through all of this since the Episode 8 kiss. The perfect end for me would be if they each get the courage to say "I love you" at the same time. But as long as they are together, I'll accept less-than-perfect.
I hope that the ML this time would be vocal about what he feels. From the way he invited FL to his house, I guess,…
My impression is that he is unsure if Deborah is ready to enter into a relationship (with him or anyone else). So, for now, he's simply letting her know that even after seeing her at her worst, he admires her and likes her as a person - encouraging her to go back to the radio show, telling her that her right side is pretty, asking her to spend time with him after the wedding.
Meanwhile, Bo-ra is going through major reversal of everything she has said or done in the past w/r/t love and relationships, because her relationship with Soo Hyuk (close friend and confidant) is something brand new to her world - a world where there are only winners and losers.
I've been watching other dramas, but trying to keep up with this one with recaps. Any possibility that the diagnosis…
I gotta admit, I put this on hold because not my usual genre (started only because of In-soo) but I don't understand viewers who enjoy crying buckets in each episode. I know they exist. I respect that this is their favorite type of drama. But. . .I will never understand it - especially if at Ep. 7, there is no hope for THE major character Young Soon. Thanks for answerig - will help me focus on the other dramas (fiarly happy) I am watching. 😄😄
unpopular opinion: i like sam-sik and hope he matures. i want him to become real friends with kang-ho.mi-joo is…
Here is the character description for Sam-sik:
"Sam-sik is the representative troublemaker of Jouri Village. . Often compared with Kang-ho who is of the same age as him, unlike his rough appearance he is the owner of a pure soul."
I think that in the end, Sam-sik The Rascal is going to help Kang-ho battle with the "Axis of Crime" as JTBC calls them. After all, is there a better villager more likely to recognizie other minor crooks and ne'er-do-wells???
Kdrama couples are never easy but this one is extra frustrating for me. I can't believe how much they are dragging…
In a "classic" rom-com kdrama, they would become a couple in Ep. 8 or 9 and break up (or have evil grandmother break them up) in Ep. 11 and then miraculous reunite scene in Ep. 16.
In fact, "Mad for each other" is the drama that Yu Jung is watching in the hotel.I have watched it too but I didn't…
Looks like there a number of k-dramas that are referenced/shown in this drama - I'm not expert enough to recognize them.
One was in Ep 2 (?) where bora was imagining the proposal. Writers are doing a lot of cross-referencing (k-drama, literature, k-pop). wish I had the time to research it all.
The mother having terminal stomach cancer is so insanely depressing, idk if i can continue to watch this drama.…
I've been watching other dramas, but trying to keep up with this one with recaps. Any possibility that the diagnosis is "false"?? (Thinking Crazy Love and other dramas I can't recall at this point) - such a very common trope. Spoil me, if you can.
Yoo Insoo's comedy is really not landing in this one... It's not on him but more the on the character/writing…
The Director ASKED In-soo to take this role (he didn't audition). It was the primary reason I put this on Watchlist (Do Hyun who????). At this point, I'm reading recaps and if I have time, watching In-soo's scenes. Very disappointed, but I understand that other viewers love this drama, so once again proves that different dramas appeal to different people. Variety is the spice of life.
if you have the time, RE-WATCH the last half of EPISODE 2! - there were SO many lines in the ep (with Soo Hyuk, Deborah, Yu Jung, and Sang Jin) that are re-appearing in one form or another. I re-watched to catch the reference to Sang Jin and Su Jin's wedding (Bora was there apparently, but no reference to Soo Hyuk) but quickly re-focused on the remarkable dialogue.
Deborah: "Are you asking me to seduce you now?" Soo Hyuk: "Would that ever be possible?"
Soo Hyuk: "There are no winners or losers in love" Deborah: "The winner dumps and the loser is dumped" [later that night, Bora witnesses Ju Hwan and "tramp" who has a name but I forget]
Episode 2 set the stage for everything that followed and I fell i love with the character of Soo Hyuk because he held his own with Deborah - and then eventually rescued her time and time again. I really hope this drama sticks the landing with the Main Couple.
Nice episode with lots and lots of screen time between Soo Hyuk and Bora but. . . . .with only 3 episodes to go, I'm beginning to fear the last episode will be open ended. 🙁🙁
And because I'm a detail person, I tried to figure out how long it has been since they had their mutual break-ups.
The Golden Night fiasco was on August 26, 2022.
Yu-ri's wedding invite is for December 10, 2022.
So, about 4 months, give or take a handful of days.
The screenwriter has one other drama under her belt ("Mad for You") and based on comments from viewers who loved the show until the last 2 episodes and the rushed, implausible ending, I will start to prepare myself for another disappointment.
Finished 1st 2 episodes. It definitely has that vibe from 6-8 years ago (Cinderella/4 Knights; Marriage Not Dating, Something About 1 Percent) - outlandish plots but quirky characters. Only 10 episodes so presumably it won't drag (or include a ridiculous murder mystery, lol).
Second episode was much better than the first. I actually laughed out loud multiple times, which I didn't episode…
The dating show was a one episode "pilot" and my impression was that if it had great ratings, they would have continued with different contestants (??) It didn't make sense that the same 6 people would be on a long-term series.
From the previews, it looks like they are proposing a "variety" show and Mark Wang will be involved (perhaps as sponsor?).
idk, actually. There is also the plot seed (harhar) of him having met his old flame who will start working in…
Thank you. I have no stomach for the sperm donor story line (shades of every single US soap opera in the '80s), but thankfully there are enough other people in this drama for me to root for - including the Gong daughter and her Doctor hubby; They are a mess of miscommunication but the underlying love is still there. Plus, enjoying the two cutie leads.
For the 1st time in months, I am watching several dramas as they are aired - Bora! Deborah - which is released the same time as good Bad Mother (I'm falling behind on that one) and the Real Has Come. Going to try Oh Youngsmin to replace TRSG. Thank goodness for streaming, lol.
I hope someone can explain what is going on with the Uncle because many viewers seem to be anticipating one thing (surrogacy) while I thought they were headed in a different direction with his story.
I thought "Jay" is Uncle's son and one reason he looks so much like Oh Don Wook (the nephew) could be that they are 1st cousins.
But other viewers think that Uncle's primary role will somehow be a surrogate (sperm donor?) for Chun Myung and his wife? What did I miss???
I skip a lot of the Bo-mi/Jin Ho scenes - has she ever told him she loves him??
