I read below that the novel ends as YH as the king and KS and DO lived happily. But the way it turns out I hope…
I don't care which one becomes King (and, frankly, YH as King is an intriguing end - a man dedicated to reform (rather than simply retrieving his rightful position due to birth order). Regardless, between the two, either one is okay so long as they don't die.

But if Kim Shi Yeol/Heung Jo [Hung Ju] don't survive and become a couple?? It will be my first ever One ⭐rating on MDL. And if we don't get a decent amount of SCENES w/these two, then this drama might not get more than 5⭐ from me.

Just sayin' 😄😄😄

Title True to Love
Before the next episode airs tomorrow (Wednesday), I wanted to thank everyone who recommended that I watch "My Holo Love" when I said I knew nothing about YHM but loved his portrayal of my favorite character in this drama - namely Soo Hyuk. It was a drama that I had avoided because of the synopsis description.

It was actually a blessing because I had a touch of flu and I was able to binge all at once. YHM was terrific in the dual human/holo role. There were many annoying scenes in the drama overall and I'm not sure if I would have stuck with it if I was only watching 2 episodes each week. But the romance was lovely, CGI well done and the overall theme regarding AI was thought provoking.

I can't locate the original thread quickly, so that's why I'm giving a general shout-out of thanks to fellow MDL'ers. 🥰🥰🥰

He is cornered. His mom, left state counselor, Mokinhoe, they will put pressure on him. Plus he went to the Queen…
I agree - this is just another plot twist - BUT, a very well written/conceived plot twist. The foundation for his current reaction (jealousy over Dan Ho; the pressure placed on him to assume this dangerous role; even his joy at meeting his real grandmother) have all been laid out in the earlier episodes.

I must say, thus far this drama has been very good at laying out various clues and details. A few red herrings here and there (the dog, for example). I have been confused by all of the names of locations - where people ran to after the rebellion; various towns, etc.

A lot of puzzle pieces (facts, clues) are laid out on the table and more to come I am sure. One of the BIG ones is WHO/WHAT are the Watchmen and will we ever find out - or will they remain an unanswered mystery to the bitter end.

There are hints at the fact that Shil Yeol killed master Jang's son. But there are also hints saying it is not…
I binged too quickly through the first episodes over the weekdn and now I am trying to re-watch and - just like with Alchemy of Souls - take notes!

I' believe Shi Yeol was the young Watchman that killed the fiance - he was going to spare him (after the prince begged him to not shed any more bloodshed) - but the fiance tried to kill the prince AGAIN! The prince (forget his real name right now) and the Watchman are the only ones who know this.

At some point, either (1) Shi Yeol will distance himself from the sister once he learns that he killed the fiance OR (2) she will learn it somehow and react in a way that endangers her family. I kinda think it will be Number 1.

In the end, if this couple doesn't make it out alive and together, my ⭐ rating will be in the basement.

I don’t get why GTK didn’t just expose SJ’s scheming and lies in front of her family! He had a perfect opportunity…
Does he have any evidence? No. She said that she would claim he was lying - and that Grandma would believe her.

Besides - easy solutions at Episode 10/11???? In a 50 episode drama? Not going to happen until perhaps. . . .perhaps. . . the final handful of episodes.

I wish Shi Yeol alive till the end, I just love the bromance between San and Shi Yeol's interaction 😂
I love the budding romance between Shi Yeol and Heung Joo. 🥰🥰

I have enjoyed more when Shi Yeol and Heung Jo briefly touched their hands (in that beautiful spot by the river)…
I just now came to MDL to post a comment similar to this. They are a beautiful pair - two lonely souls who have not experienced "life" in any enjoyable fashion. She once said that she "did not ask for this existence". He never had an opportunity to exist beyond the duty he was trained for. My heart melted when he said that he wanted to experience things with her.

I get that San and Dan Oh are The Main Couple that are "meant" to be together because of whatever childhood trauma they experienced together, but as I was re-watching some episodes, their entire "romance" is overly reliant on music/OST (?), slow motion skinship and.. . .I guess "chemistry". But it seems more contrived (based on childhood connection) than a very REAL connection as adults. I like them - but my heart doesn't melt.

My heart will have a very major meltdown when Shi Yeol learns that he killed her fiance and that is the reason she has been sheltered, hidden and lonely. I hope he is the one that gets to kill Tae Hwa.

I know nothing about the actor Kang Hoon, but the character of Shi Yeol has been my very favorite from the moment he stepped onto the screen.

I've been wanting to watch one of Lee Dohyun's dramas for a while but more of them have romance (which is not…
After watching the teasers, this show seems to also focus on ALL of the village mothers/parents, their problem children, and how the entire small village takes care of everyone.

i'm only watching for one person (Yoo in-soo) because "healing" dramas are not my genre. but I think there is much more than "romance" in this one.

A favor fro MDL viewers.

I was sick the last few days and finally began to watch this drama. I was trying to get caught up before the next episodes (11-12) but failed. If I am lucky, I will get up to Ep. 8 tonight. Began to read through MDL and TOO MANY Spoilers for Ep. 9 and 10. I usually don't mind spoilers of minor points, but learning the major stuff (who is the real Lee Seol? Who is the current Watchman?) was unfortunate.

My question/favor: Have they revealed who is the "original" watchman??? The one who saved the teen Lee Seol? I have a theory on who it is (based on scenes from Ep. 5/6) but if it has been revealed, I won't waste time speculating.

Side note: I begin "Josean/historical" dramas because they are tagged as "comedy" but the violence (especially innocent lives) is distressing to me. One reason I don't mind knowing minor spoilers in advance. 😄

Agree. Joon Ha is not evil; Se Jin IS. I don't see a possible gf/redemption arc for HER, but wouldn't be unhappy if he has a happy ending.

As for Se Jin - after going forward w/the wedding knowing her father was in the hospital - if they redeem her, I will remove at least one ⭐from my rating. I like your idea of jail/prison (I will give a PLUS ⭐if that happens.)

Yes. If this was a 12-16 episode drama, they might drop the "fake"/pretend/unserious custody battle. But somehow they must stretch it out to FIFTY episodes (my mind is blown, this is the 1st time I have watched anything more than 20 eps).

Yes, all of your statements are accurate - but I think are irrelevant when there are 40 more episodes to go. I don't have a crystal ball, but I do know that He HATES Dr. Gong and he loves Se-Jin. My prediction (just a guess and admittedly I haven't been watching k-drama for 5 years like some people) Evil B***h SJ will manipulate him to go for custody at some point in order to get revenge on Dr. Gong. Perhaps SJ will convince him that she will marry him and help him bring up the child? It's all guessing at this point but it would be classic drama - whether in Asia or the "West".

I haven't watched Ep. 11 yet (waiting for Viki) but after seeing the end of Ep. 10, it's clear that Se Jin - who IS A MAIN LEAD - is going to be there to the bitter end. Probably the last 15 minutes of Ep. 50

And the Fourth Main Lead is Joon Ha. He's a rotten jerk, but not evil like SJ. At some point (and I don't know how to predict a 50 episode k-drama - will be at the 50% mark? 75% mark) SJ will find out that the baby is really Joon Ha's and the custody battle will commence.

July 2023 🎉
It's tentatively scheduled for July 29th release following "See You in my 19th Life'. However, they were still filming in April so I think that's why nothing official yet.

Edited; 1st poster is making the rounds on Twitter - not official release yet, but perhaps further indication that it will be July release.

Why do I feel Yoo In Soo is in villain side, not part of Uncanny Counter? 😭
Yoo In Soo will play Jeok Bong - he's a new counter in Season 2.

The following link is an "episode" from the web-toon and helps explain his character. If the drama character is anything like the character in the web-toon, YIS will be perfect for the role.

https://battwo.com/chapter/1840716

Were you thinking he would play a villain because of his role in All of Us Are Dead? 😄
