Here's a photo of Park Eun Hye's last filmed scene (so it might not be her very last scene in the show). She's looking at the fire bird pedestal and she she doesn't look super happy nor does she look sad - she looks at peace/content. I think it means that the fire bird was not removed, therefor Jinyowon still stands and Daeho is saved. But, as I said - maybe this isn't her last scene in the show!

And I'll just add that Park Eun Hye's performance as Mama Jin has been phenomenal.

Viewers have wondered from the beginning why she was so powerful. I thought she was Jin (mother, grandmother, whatever), but the "Mage Choi" connection seems very possible.

Supposedly the term "light and shadow" is based on the names "Wook/Uk" which means "iight/sun/glow" and "Yeong" which supposedly means "shadow" (although I can't find that translation anywhere - Korean, Chinese, Hangul).

I read an article (can't find it now) where writers or tvN said it means you can't have shadow w/out light and you can't have light without shadow and so that means they have an "inseparable" destiny.

But since we haven't heard Yeong's name yet in Part 2 (and only once in Part 1 I believe?), it seems to be nothing more than a marketing ploy.

iirc, GYJ posted something on ig at the same time that was a close-up of the flowers - they looked like daisies at the time so perhaps that is why it is called the "daisy" photo. 😄

I have never cared about any 2nd ML before, but this one sure hits the heart especially since they had an indirect "connection" in the past. However, the primary reason I put this on my watchlist is because of Kim Young Dae so I will continue to watch and enjoy.

Naksu has no energy. Folks forget that the original Naksu/Park Jin scenes were some of the first scenes filmed in June 2021 and it took months of CGI required to complete that epic 5 minutes.

It's possible we will see a scene comparable to Mu-deok in the Ice Barrier when she suddenly retrieved her energy - loved those scenes.

You are more likely to see JBY ("Naksu"???) manifest divine powers - powers of life and death. A simple hand wave and bright light (similar to how Jang Uk's power has manifested in Part 2). Much easier CGI.

That's the one thing I want to see - original Jin Bu-yeon using her divine powers to protect the fire bird and thus protecting Jinyowon. I don't think Master Lee will let her destroy the ice stones.

Oh, and the ChoDang Wedding but I'm resigned to that wedding being held off screen. They've cut so many other In-soo and Arin scenes. 😢😢😢

It looks like the Crown Prince is the "double agent".

Yul's uncle is apparently nothing more than a plot device - he was useful in being a groom so that JBY could run away and he is useful as a sounding board for Jin Mu to talk with. Other sounding board characters (useful only for moving the story, not for any story of their own): Heo Yun Ok and Ju Wol (not the case in Part 1 but meaningless in Part 2),

Jin Bu-yeon's goal is to save Daeho. She will be successful and probably die doing so. She's been asleep about 99% of the last 3-4 years, so no time to fall in love with anyone.

Telling the viewer (via Master Lee) that he had killed/removed Jin Bu-yeon's soul and then Surprise - She Lives!! A really nasty trick by the writers.

Well, [curse word, curse word} they dropped another Dang-gu/Cho-yeon scene. 😢😢 The turtle gets more scenes than ChoDang - they should give the turtle Special Guest status. Someone on twitter even speculated that some of the BTS photos were filmed for the blu-ray edition, but I don't know anything about how that might work.

With only two episodes to go, I'll post some links to what may still happen.

But I still predict that the Hong Sister have written a story about choosing to save the world over one's individual passion. I also think they have at least done the advance work to create a character (Jang Uk) that thinks outside of the box and comes up with solutions (starting with "hiring" Naksu to be his master) and he will figure out a way to save Naksu and save the world without dying himself.

RinVyal's comment below provides some answers. I didn't pay much attention to the stone tower scenes early in Part 2, but my impression was that significant portions of those scenes were accomplished by CGI and in-studio.

I assume that doing some of their last scenes on location with the daisies, the headband, etc. is significant - maybe a happy ending?

TvN description of Ep. 9 (I have attempted to Anglicize for clarity):

Jang Wook and Jin Bu Yeon get to know each other’s existence and spend some time together. Each of them must do their own thing to stop Jin Mu’s plot to beat [conquer?} Jinyowon and bring out the fire bird. Meanwhile, Seo Yul learns the truth that three years ago, Naksu was hit by Jin Mu’s bells. Se-ja also makes an important choice, but. . . . .

My Churchill quote was related to the "must do their own thing to stop Jin Mu" section.

Jin Bu-yeon (and I'm not convinced we are not seeing original JBY emerging ): "All of them will have to be eradicated for this to end."
Jang Uk: "The world they wish to see will never come". [He is finally choosing to save "the world" (Daeho)]

I wrote extensively on this back in July. I might post something more tomorrow. Jang Uk's destiny - the King's Star destiny - is to "deal with the chaos of the ice stone". We were told this over and over again in Part 1. JBY's destiny is to deal with the ice stone itself, even if she must sacrifice her life which began with the ice stone. That's the backstory I have "seen" from the moment Jin Mu pushed her off the boat.

But. . . maybe I am 100% wrong. 😂😂😂

My question was about the little boys. I know they have been listed on MDL from the very beginning of AoS2 page, but I have yet to see any press releases or official notices about any of them. If you have a link to anything more than MDL, I would like to see it.

As for the "first love" - I thought Dang-gu was simply referring to the 1st of many women that he was engaged to at one time or another.

Back in early July, I theorized that JBY and JU were destined to be together from childhood. Mama Jin made a comment about "no daughter of hers would every marry the son of Jang Gang" - and then she reversed w/in an episode or two. So, I gave up on the childhood "romantic" connection, but I absolutely believe their destinies/fates are connected.

Well, if there is one quote that I think will be appropriate on Sunday, it is:

"Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that, if the British Empire and its Commonwealth[e] last for a thousand years, men will still say, 'This was their finest hour.'"

Jang Uk and JBY/Naksu know what must be done.

The problem is that it is amongst the graveyard of soul shifters. But since Master Lee is there, I predict at least "inseparable" fate - that's the meaning of light and shadow, according to writers.

Me - but only - and I mean ONLY - because I know that Cho-yeon and Dang-gu survive and get married (even if off screen).

Plus, the fire bird egg will be saved from Jin Mu, the ice stones will be used for good, not evil and Daeho will be saved. The preservation of Daeho IS end game, is it not???

However, I will never watch Hong Sister again unless all episodes have aired and I know that the end is positive. Nuance, character development and consistent story are not their strong points.
