THIS. All of your points are excellent, but this one says it best - they were FATED to connect at some point for some reason. I don't know what their fate is (although I have guesses), but after all "This story is about the mages of Daeho fighting against Fate. Mages whose fate is twisted due to the Alchemy of Souls".

I think he might show up. In Part 1, he - and his family - were rarely mentioned. He - and his family/Seo Fortress have been mentioned more in Part 2 than in Part 1.

Part 1, Episode 7 - the very beginning scenes explain the situation 200 years ago - the drought that dried up Lake G, the rain ritual (showing a blind female), the hailstones, the one "unmelting" hailstone that produced Soul Ejector "powder", the eventual chaos as mages fought over the ice stone and that Master Seo Gyeong brought an end to the chaos.

Some of the faces were pasted in - someone said that the photo of LJW is the one where he is holding a cell phone in his hands. As for the mystery mage - lots of noise about General Seo on the show lately, so perhaps he makes an appearance? According to the actor (Jang Eui-Don), the Unanimous Assembly appears in both Eps 9 and 10.

Absolutely and Part 2 is going to get a very, very low rating from me because of it. Looking at BTS photos , they cut out quite a bit of their scenes.

Looking forward to seeing In-soo in Uncanny Counter 2. Arin rocked at the MBC New Year's Eve bash (expo? celebration? whatever).

I feel robbed as well. I never expected to see heavy romance between them, but the whole -"we slept together once so she might be pregnant" story was simply a plot device so that JBY/Naksu could be the one to kiss Yul.

I think we agree on JU and JBY. but maybe it's semantics. Naksu is alive due to sorcery (Soul Ejector).

We still don't know why Bu-yeon grabbed Naksu - maybe it was to save the other woman's life!! LOL, I know it won't be that simple. If she is truly "vile" as you say, then that's simply another Hong Sister 180° reversal from part 1 where everyone from her village described her as kind and animals loved her.

There was a casting call for 2 year old boy twins (although at that age, the sex doesn't really matter). It was for two shows: AoS and - I think - "Bad Mom"

Everyone claimed them for Naksu/Jang Uk but I take credit for insisting that they must be boy/girl twins for my favorite couple and when folks asked why I said "cuz I have boy/girl twins". 🥰

The fates of all three characters (JU, Naksu and JBY) were twisted due to AoS. All three should have died or never lived except for using sorcery with the ice stone/Soul Ejector. Of the three, Naksu is the only one who used sorcery. Jang-uk’s energy is from the King’s Star (and now the ice stone) - he was willing to use sorcery in order to save Naksu. Jin Bu-yeon's powers are divine/celestial (from the sky) - as far as we know, she never used sorcery.

If Jang Uk chooses sorcery, Daeho – and all of his friends – might be destroyed. Them’s the rules – sorcery is bad and leads to chaos. The writers created this mess and although they’ve reversed narrative many times, I don’t think they can do it with the #1 Rule that has been drummed into the viewers’ heads. So they need to come up with something that doesn’t involve sorcery.

Whatever it is, I imagine it will be stupid mumbo-jumbo but as long as it doesn’t involve sorcery, viewers will get a happy ending.🥰

Bu-yeon is blind - they have never shown her character without the blindfold. She senses things but she cannot "see" with her eyes.

And in Part 1, writers implied that Bu-yeon was dormant most of the time. When she emerged, Naksu didn't remember.

I wish, but I think it will be Moon Sook playing either Jin Seol-ran or possibly the "Cho Yeong ancestor" from 200 years ago - and by ancestor, I mean someone comparable to Seo Gyeong and Jin Seol-ran in terms of power/energy.

Young JBY does show up again because in addition to the location shoot with GYJ, she filmed in studio with LJW (and perhaps others).

I'm pretty sure we will get flashbacks of the CP/Jang Uk meet-up today where they agreed to work together but first Jang Uk had to pretend to go to the North Fortress so that Jin Mu would feel safe.

She is the most dreaded of all roles - the plot device.

I didnt' bookmark when I should have, but in late September Yoon Hae-vin (young JBY) posted on ig, thanking LJW for a beverage. A few days later, iirc, she posted that she was traveling "on location" - the same day that GYJ's team posted they were going to Seongheung - the location of the Naksu tree. May or may not mean anything.

These were the last few days of filming so she will probably show up in Ep 9 and/or 10.

I think JBY is "good" but after today, 90% of the web thinks she's the villain so what do I know? 8 days to find out.
