I wrote (way up above when I first came on the board) that perhaps Jin Bu-yeon's father is the "mage from Songrim" that betrayed her.😊😊

I suppose it might matter at some later date (like Season 2), but in terms of Jin Bu-yeon's fate or destiny, I'm not sure it matters. My wild guess - the "mage from Songrim" that betrayed her.

So-i has always been on the list of "characters" and she is identified as "support role". Personally, I hope So-i dies a death just as brutal as those of the men she identified.

Maybe, but I'm afraid it is Jin Bu-yeon's destiny to destroy the ice stone(s) - especially if her birth was the reason the ice stone was unsealed to begin with. It's not the story I want to watch - we'll see.

I guess it depends upon why one watches the show. Nothing revealed?

A great deal was revealed. For the viewers who only care about romance, I agree - not much new. But this isn't about "romance". It's about the ethics of soul-shifting and the development of young mages whose fates were twisted by the practice of soul-shifting. As in, the Alchemy of Souls.

I think Jung So Min will return in some capacity. And that's my one and only thought on this topic.

After watching Ep. 15, where Master Lee was able to transfer his soul into a FROZEN body of a young (dead) boy, try to consider the following. . . . .

Naksu's body was FROZEN when Gil-ju stole it form Songrim. Maybe it was her real body that was burned. . . . . and maybe it wasn't her real body

When you say "original" actress, do you mean Jung So Min?

The crest lit up first - before the door opened. I thought it was intended to show that when Mu-deok (aka Jin Bu-yeon) is in Jinyowon, everything senses her energy - the birds, the door and now the jin family crest. She also felt strange when she was in JBY's room - why did she try on the blindfold - we didn't see her do it. It was not something a stranger would do with someone else's private possessions.

I think today's episode provided some major clues about the Jin Ladies and their powers.

Cho-yeon said their powers were different than mages. They are "born with more divine powers than spell-related powers". It's spiritual (heart/soul) not blood (inherited). All living creatures have energy and the Jin ladies are able to cast spells (or,, kill the spirit of a sorcery detecting doggie, may her soul rot in hell for that!). But mage level magic (Jipsu, Ryusu, Chisu) doesn't seem to be their thing.

I hope Cho-yeon isn't there when that happens and that she really moves out to the Jang household. Because once they realize that "blood"isn't enough to open that door, Cho-yeon (or mama Jin wherever she may be at that point) is going to be their only solution.

The Number One Mistake the bad guys are making: they think being a Jin is all about the blood (opening the door).

It's not - It's about their souls.

It doesn't matter which body Shaman Choi tries to shift to - her SOUL is not capable of opening a Jin door. We saw that today - it was Jin Bu-yeon's soul that opened the door, not So-i.

At one time,, many of us figured that in order for So-i to open the door, Mu-deok would be nearby - and then we saw the icky blood thing and said "oh, that's how it's going to work".

Haha, we were correct the first time - Mu-deok was nearby.

I think Cho Yeon has always been portrayed as younger than the other three Seasons. She's not impressed by Royalty. She just wants someone to love her for who she is - warts and all - and not for her status as a Jin heir.

I💕💕 Chodang - Since they are holding hands all the time, the Chodang Ship is way ahead of everyone.

I believe she will return.

This morning I hauled myself out of bed at 5:00 am to watch the live feed on tvn because I knew Ep. 16 (this show is in 4-episode blocks) would be epic. In past episodes, I didn't understand much of the conversation but loved the cinematography and world-building.

Today - because the actors are SOOOOOO good, I understood a great deal simply by watching their gestures and facial expressions.

First, Dang-gu and Cho-yeon - Words not required. it was clear what was happening. Protecting Cho-yeon from Mom. Sign this or else. Maidservent Kim to the rescue. Young love - they were darling.

Jin Sisters - I was smiling the whole time because it was obvious what Cho-yeon and Mu-deok were saying. Cho-yeon finally has a friend who she can talk to honestly. I will cry when she realizes that Mu-deok is really her sister - I just hope we don't have to wait for Episode 20 (or 28!) for it to happen.

The Three "Brothers" - didn't understand the words but Their Bond is so strong. None of them have siblings (as far as we know). They've grown up together with no family surrounding them.

I was equally confused. End game for them is clearly control of Jinyowon. I think they don't realize a big error in their calculations - they believe that So-i opened the door because of the blood. But smart viewers otherwise. It. Is. All. About. The Soul.

It's the Jin woman's SOUL that opens the door, not the blood.

Which gets us back to the amazing soul of JBY. 😂😂😂
