"Resurrecting Bu-Yeon" - we were told that the reason JSM would not be returning is that the body of Mu-deok was petrified. So now she is unpetrified and hocus-pocus - she looks like Naksu? I realize that for Naksu/Jang Uk fans, everything is easy to accept, but it doesn't work for me.

I just re-watched Ep 19 - and you are correct. JGH said "Jin Seol-ran passed away less than 6 months after Jinyowon was established. " My notes were incorrect - I'm glad you asked me to check. Thank you. 😘

In the end, it will be some sort of hocus-pocus nonsense, just as the fact that JBY couldn't save Naksu was nonsense and never explained. I keep thinking I will write this up as a separate discussion topic, but really don't have the time to go back and review everything. In early episode, JGH said that Jin Seol-ran DIED from her wounds after establishing jinyowon. But later (Ep. 19 or 20) JGH said Jin Seol-ran "ran away" 6 months after establishing Jinyowon. I fear that JBY tried to destroy the ice stone and was either killed or she became part of it. Like I said - nonsense.

Haha, I posted a theory (on the Part 1 forum) months ago (July? August?) that Naksu was a Jin - either because she was really JBY (soul-shifted as a child) or because her mother was a Jin descendant. I've always believed that was why she was so special and able to reach Chisu so quickly - she was a Jin descendant. Jin Mu knew it (because he either did the soul shift or he knew who Cho Yeong's mother was).

I want the real Bu-yeon to be alive - but that's not where the writers are going.

Whatever is going on, you can count on Jin Mu to be the one behind everything. He either provided Cho Yeong's body (or ashes??) to Mama Jin or described her looks (which makes ZERO sense since her face is recognizable). I'm sure he's the one who arranged the marriage between "Bu-yeon" and Uncle Seo.

Mama wants an heir to take over Jinyowon - she is growing weak (according to character description) and she is desperate for the heir. Jin Mu wants the ice stone.

I was disappointed in Park Jin today - shame on writers. YJS is an incredible actor and he deserves better. Same for Maidservant Kim/Oh Nara. Hopefully their time on screen today was to describe the last 3 years because otherwise, they were a big nothing burger.

Can't wait for Jin Cho-yeon and Dang-gu to "form a complex and delicate relationship."

Jung So Min said that one of the "voices" she used in Part 1 was "falling water"/Naksu.

People tend to forget this: The writers have told us that AoS is a triology: (1) narrative surrounding Naksu and Jang Uk; (2) the conspiracies involving the ice stone; and (3) Jin Bu-yeon's story. 😀

TWO separate Pre-release "translation" (I don't think we ever get official subs on the pre-leases - correct me if I am wrong). Both of these "twitterers" do a phenomenal job of translating quickly - if you read both, you will certainly understand the basic dialogue (I loved when Jang Uk said: "the Jinyowan Preistesses know who I am".

Small little crumbs/photos about "Uncle Seo". This article says he is Queen Seo's brother, but tvN states he is some sort of cousin. The actor is rather young (age 34) to be an "uncle" of Yul. Whatever, he is ambitious and charming and based upon some BTS tweets, he is working with Jin Mu and the Queen.

Me? Stay the heck away from our precious Cho-yeon and Dang-gu!!

My favorite as well. Looking forward to see how the "Social Butterfly" and "Daeho Celebrity" have grown up in Part 2.

Based on the early episodes, "20" years ago, CY was 4-6 years old when Bu-yeon was born,; then Jang Uk was born; her father (Cho Choong) noticed the King Star Constellation plate; Jin Mu soul shifted him and eventually made him run wild; Jin Mu abducted CY; and Jang Gang left town.

However, in later episodes, the writers mushed some of these events together and the timeline is pretty meaningless as this point.
