There are many theories as to why Naksu's intended soul switch did not work as planned, but thus far, no answers.

The Episode 15 pre-release is up on tvN. And Holy S**t, the Queen goes off the rails. I will try to find an English "translation" - usually an hour or so.

I'm pretty sure it's Master Lee. Right after the scene where Heom made that comment about "someone else", Master Lee showed up at Jinyowan and released Gwiju. He tried to extract "Naxsu's" soul with just his hands - no Soul Ejector or ice stone.

Ahhhh. . . .Jung So Min gave everyone earmuffs. His BTS videos are very informative. Really enjoyed the one that showed how they (including In Soo) learned their stunts (flying, sword choreography). Thanks for sharing.

I remember parts of the discussion (something about ice stones in the handle????) but didn't pay much attention. But I agree with you -it's special. I think it belong to Bu-yeon . I've been re-watching all of the scenes where Bu-yeon "appeared". In the lake scene, Mu-deok closed her eyes and at that point, tendrils of energy began to swirl around her. it responded to Bu-yeon in the lake. it was Bu-yeon who pointed the sword at Jang Uk - Mu-deok didn't remember it.

Naksu/Mu-deok originally talked about getting energy "from" the sword - she thought that if she could unsheathe the sword, she would get her energy back. But in all other instances with the mages, they pour energy INTO their swords.

Cau, there's a discussion topic I started that is a reference guide - it included the mage energy levels. Would you be willing to put your sword guide in the same forum? It would be easier to find.

Someone did an analysis of all the Daeho swords and I cannot locate it.

Several weeks ago, I questioned why "Naksu" was happy to let "her" sword go to the Palace. Whatever she said at the moment was meaningless. Re-watching a few episodes and that sword is clearly special. I believe it is a JIN family sword. SWORD in the Palace.? ICE STONE in the palace? Bu-yeon has a plan.

Maybe not just CGI. Since they were still writing Season 2 scripts after filming was complete on Season 1, they may noticed the need for more transition/explanatory scenes in the final 2 episodes So, new filming not required but perhaps some added voice-over?? Plus the CGI of course.

Originally, I assumed that Ep. 20 would involve the battle of mages with some small cliffhanger or surprise. But now I think it's all about trying to locate the ice stone and what happens when they do. Will Jin Mu figure out who Mu-deok is and attempt to shift her back into Naksu's body? Will JBY try to destroy the ice stone and die in the attempt? If so, that could be why they won't tell us if JSM is returning.

I'll take that bet - because I thought we would see the big revelation long before this. I thought the So-i fake JBY would be 1-2 episodes at most and yet, after FOUR episodes since she arrived, she still hasn't met Mama Jin.

My bet for cliffhanger? So-i is accepted by Mama Jin as her long lost daughter; Jin Mu is gleefully smiling that his plan is working. Meanwhile, JBY's persona begins to emerge even more than before or Master Lee states the obvious (to himself).

I want to see Badass Jin Bu-yeon on steroids. She has to destroy the ice stone.

I also think it was a fake body that was burned. However, it wasn't the gisaeng. in Ep. 3, when Gil-ju was burning the bodies of the victims from the "soul eater", it showed that her body was laying on the ground. It's not clear if Gil-ju burned the body or not (he had previously told Jin Mu that he had thrown her body in the lake; he also didn't tell Jin Mu that the blue mark was missing. )

Jin Mu believes that the body of the gisaeng contains Naksu's' soul and he believes it is at the bottom of Lake G.
