Title Destined with You Spoiler
I liked the boss lady/supervisor story as well. And really liked the twist in the end with Papa Jang and his wife…
I respectfully disagree.
I think the point of the 1st scene (Eun Wol's phone call to SY) was to indicate that she believed that Hong-jo was pregnant with a girl. Certainly that appeared to be the reason she made the call to THEM.

Later when they were eating together, Eun Wol clearly believed it applied to SY/HJ. She was telling them they didn't have time to postpone a wedding; "Your belly will swell soon"

And SY eventually said: "You were wrong again".

So, the twist (that it was the (PARENTS!) was one of the few outside-the-box scenes in this drama. I really enjoyed it. I added a star to my rating because of it. 😊

But altho I liked the twist, it merely adds one more example of confusion/messiness to the entire drama - what really happened in the past? what spells (and/or curses) really worked in the present? To what degree did Eun Wol know what she was talking about?

Can anyone explain the last scene in final episode? Jang Shin Yu (in his past life) was standing in front of the…
He turned back toward the box - the implication is that he threw it into the box and buried it.

Absolutely love the show. Great start and young star cast. the storyline is intriguing. Give it a try ..you wont…
I liked the boss lady/supervisor story as well. And really liked the twist in the end with Papa Jang and his wife - especially that Shaman Eun Wol got it wrong "again", lol.

Title Destined with You Spoiler
So, can someone explain the ending scene that shows a flashback to the past? Didn't get time to watch the full…
This was one of the few "plot holes" that was actually filled in that last scene. Several people have explained below but I'll give it another try.

We previously saw that Joseon Shin-yu had the box w/the black curse book. After he killed Joseon HJ, he threw the good spell book into the box and buried it. In a prior episode, it showed Joseon SY writing a family historical event - the family was cursed and they were to maintain the shrine forever - which explained why the Jang family continued to own the property and why they hired shamans to protect it.

I still don't understand how the box was "enchanted" with a spell that could only be unlocked when reincarnated Aeng-cho showed up because Joseon Shin-yu didn't have the power to cast that spell but he was able to open and close the box.

Title The Killing Vote Spoiler
I'm a fan of Kim Kwon, but not a fan of violent/horror dramas. I've been reading recaps, trying to decide whether…
Apparently, Lee Min Soo has already been identified as the ultimate villain. Is it 100% that he killed KSJ's daughter and there is zero chance of any new twist or makjang moment? Is the entire drama merely leading to the obvious "justice" (Min-soo's death?). Because if so, where's the mystery and what is the point of watching if the end is known? No doubt Ki Kwon will knock it out of the park when the moment comes, but those type of scenes just aren't on my wish list.

I would really like to watch a few scenes of Kim Kwon where he shows his acting strength (without violence) so if anyone wants to suggest a couple of examples (episode and mark/time stamp) that will satisfy my curiosity.

can someone pls update on whether this is worth watching or not? honestly just here for ha joon :(
My first weekender drama was "The Real Has Come" which preceded this drama and which was an absolute clusterf**k after which I swore I would never watch one again. Until I read that Ha Joon is staring in this one.😊😊😊

So, I'm trying with fingers crossed and thus far enjoy it. The overarching theme is people learning to live their own life (especially Lee Hyo Shim - the main feal lead). Ha Joon will once again play his talent of revolving door charming man one minute/cold and aloof the next moment.

So far, it seems to be a mixture of family chaos, corporate intrigue, multiple potential romances and, for comedy, the antics of three crazy grandmothers. Or, so we are promised by the PR dept.

I think he placed it there after using it or something. He was probably the one who made sure they'll meet again…
Hmmmmm.. . . . there's nothing to indicate that Mu Jin had the ability to cast spells, is there?

He had the box, which already included the gook of curses/evil spells (which he should have burned, but oh well), so he tossed in the good spells and buried the box.

And then wrote the document that said his family was cursed and they were to maintain the shrine. And the document was placed in the family 'archive".

It's possible (likely?) that he also made sure that a shaman was chosen to maintain the shrine and that the story regarding the box and the curse would be passed down through the shaman hierarchy even if they aren't allowed to marry or have children of their own.

That's the only answer that makes sense to me, but there's plenty of other plot holes I can't explain so there might be no answer -

I thought you loved it previously??It wasn't a catastrophe, but this was not a drama for those (like me) that…
Same for me - loved the spells and based on Shin-yu's antics in the first few episodes, was looking forward to a variety of hi-jinks, perhaps with the various co-workers and a bit of fun with the Na-yeon. But I dislike (so unimaginative) reincarnation stories - so was also hoping that this would be a story of descendants correcting ancient wrongs of their ancestors which would actually be an intriguing twist.

But cliches will be cliches, so reincarnation it was. Thus, the 2nd half was meh. That being said, I didn't drop it completely- and I've dropped several similar "fantasy/romance" dramas already this year.

“so getting married to a former bully wouldn’t look good “. Karma is a biatch 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Kim Kwon for the win! He was only planned to be a special appearance in 1st two episodes, but I guess I'm glad they decided to shoe-horn him into the plot - except, it really didn't add much except some great acting on his behalf.

While I am glad that people loved this drama and found it enjoyable, I on the other hand struggled to really like…
Agree. I realized today that I never did watch episode 13 - not even a quick FF thru.

Which, unfortunately, was the way I watched episodes 9-16: heavy finger on the FF button, but always watched whenever there was a hint at how the magic worked or perhaps why certain events occurred. Oh, and every scene with Jae-kyung.

But in the end, we still don't know (unless I missed it)
1) who was the original stalker in the black hoodie.
2) what happened to Shin-yu after he met up with Creepy Gardener?
3) who put a spell on the box so that only HJ could open it up? (clearly NOT Min-ju since didn't know how to cast spells but he's the one who buried the box)
4) what spell did HJ repeat - including burning a page that was presumably burned previously???
5) who was stalking HJ at the pre-festival night (lights went on and off with no explanation)
6) Eun Wol said that another person remembered their past, but we never found out who - and if it was Eun Wol, then WHO WAS SHE IN THE PAST??

The list is actually longer, but that enough for now.

Let's say the last four eps saved this drama from catastrophy...
I thought you loved it previously??
It wasn't a catastrophe, but this was not a drama for those (like me) that like to see the dots connected and the puzzle pieces fit together. I did move it from 5⭐ to 6⭐simply because I loved the twist at the end with Mom, Dad and the true baby girl. 💕

Mild spoiler: Father Lee is returning.

Nam Kyung-eup plays the role of Hyosim's father, who disappears during the play. Hyo Sim Yi's father was a high school ethics teacher who didn't come back from work when she was 9 years old. As a result of his irresponsible disappearance with his children, Hyo Sim-i becomes the de facto head of the family. Nanjing-eup is expected to add vitality to the drama with the solid and in-depth acting talent it has cultivated so far.

Prediction - he shows up as the major reveal/twist in Episode 10. i'm running a test to see if my "five chapter" theory plays out w/a major twist/cliffhanger occurs every 10 (+/- 2) episodes.

No it is finally back to the regular airing schedule next weekend. KBS really did its weekender a disservice in…
They should do a catch-up marathon to re-introduce the characters and the many story plots that are the foundation of the drama.

ok was that credit scene supposed to mean something or was it just there randomly?
I think it was meant to answer the question on how the box was buried. 😊But it doesn't answer how the box became enchanted so that only she could unlock it - which is one reason fantasy isn't my favorite genre😒.

Closing comments from the four leads in the link below; the 2 End Game question marks remain KJK and Na-yeon. .

Ha Joon: "I’m really grateful to all the viewers who loved our drama so far. I hope you will pay attention to what choice Kwon Jae Kyung will make.” [ME: he will make the right choice, of course. 🥰]

Yura: “Na Yeon has done a lot of things to be hated for. Please watch and see if she will repent and change or if she will stay the same,” adding, “Please don’t hate her too much and watch the drama until the end.”

Rawoon and JBA were pretty much nice "thank-yous" to the viewers but you can read below.

You are missing the point. Joking about real people who ride the short bus isn't funny. I wasn't personally offended. You responded so quickly you clearly didn't read the link. But I've learned not to expect much from your comments and I won't bother again. Over and out.
