This will have a season 2? Why? Is the writer really pushing the idea that men cheat because their wives are no longer exciting? Is the writer trying to gain sympathy from the audience by showing 'reasons' as to why they did that to their wives so we can understand why these good for nothing men cheat? There is no excuse for cheating. You disagree with your wife? Tell her. You don't think you're wife cares about you? Tell her. You don't love your wife anymore? Tell her. Communication is the key here people. If it still doesn't work out, get a DIVORCE. You can't just cheat. Are people really interested how this is going to be? Most of the time, I'm just fast-forwarding. What material are they going for in Season 2?
I'm kinda confused as to how I should interpret the last scene in ep 38. I'm pretty sure Ai Qing had already retire but with Wu Bai's monologue in the background talking about players coming back and Ai Qing wearing an SP shirt, I thought about Ai Qing coming back as a player? or was that all Wu Bai's imagination? When they first fought against each other, I dont thing Ai Qing was wearing an SP shirt during that match.
I heard this drama was expensive to make. I wished more of the budget was put in the CGI. The directing is meh. The ideas are half-baked and ridiculous. It has plot holes ngl. It bothers me sometimes that some scenes got the green light regardless of how foolish it was. (They're both still miraculously alive?) And the fact that they casted JSW and PSH with a script like that (how??) But strangely I am going to disregard all of that bc I am genuinely curious how this is going to be.
Yooo do you honestly think the king did not notice at all a change from SY? After the body swapping I'm pretty sure the queen would no longer be loud and seem 'misplaced' from that era. If the writers really wanted SY and BH to go back to their original places they should have explained it better. From the viewer's POV, the king fell in love with the queen bc she was unapologetic and 'crazy'. He did not like the prim and proper queen. Kinda disappointed how this ended. I've always wondered what they were going to do with the swapping thing. This was not a good conclusion to that.
not all man are trash oh btw since we are on this topic girls can be very dangerous these days too a girl can…
I'm not saying all men are trash. It's just that dramas these days are portraying men in a negative way. This drama for example is just adding numbers to that.
I think they will be going for a combined soul of the original queen and Bong Hwan. In the past eps the inner thoughts of the queen where narrated by a man (CJH) but when she woke up in Joseon in ep 7, her thoughts where narrated by a woman(By SHS herself) . So I think the souls are co-existing now? Maybe this will be the reason why Bong Hwan will now be attracted to the king?
Regardless of the mess of the plot, can I just say how well-developed HJP's character is? I know a lot have pointed that out even before, but the last ep was just cherry on top. In the beginning he was very self-centered (except when it came to grandma and later on Dal Mi). He saw himself of high-value (which totally makes sense tbh.) i don't personally see this as a major flaw but I can see where people are coming from when they pointed these out. His character is probably the only thing that the writer did well (in my opinion) in the drama. He wasn't the main lead but his character development was well-done. He's bg story tied the narrative of the whole plot. It would even seem in the beginning that the writer put more emphasis in his story as if he was the main first lead (viewers will soon realize that this was just an awful plot devise). He is so mature and logical. Often times, in kdramas you don't find this much logic in characters. But he has always thought things through. Even when dealing with being turned down by Dal Mi, he was still honest and genuine (makes me wonder again why he chose Do San) He said he was a loser but he never tried to jeopardize SDM and NDS's relationship. Even if he did, he always came clean and admitted it. In the last ep, that talk in the roof top was so mature. He even said sorry when he did not need to. (wth?) He even invested personally in a start up that aligned with his past. I honestly think his character wasn't 2nd lead material in the typical kdrama world. The writer probably thought that he was being creative with not following the childhood friends-lovers story. It completely backfired bc the main lead's story wasn't engaging enough to like it more than HJP'S story. Tbh, his character is probably the best (for me) written one I've encountered in a really long time. I wish they can make more characters like this.
This probably did not give that much of an impact to Suzy's and NJH'S career even tho this was really popular internationally. The only good thing that came out of this drama was KSH. Glad to know he is getting the love he deserves.
No tbh. I'm not very fond of NDS as a stand-alone character in my perspective. I don't think that would change even if they show 5 minute clip of reasons.
I can't help but think that this was the intention of the writer in the first place: to be vague as to the reason why SDM likes NDS. I feel like we're going to get a montage of memories 3 years ago, things we've never seen that actually transpired. Not the best way to answer the question since they should have left some crumbs to encourage viewers to root for the main couple. Regardless, that question will finally be answered.
I don't think I've seen a drama tagged as romance in which I have no care at all of the first leads. I think it would have been bearable to watch if the leads had chemistry but I can't see that. I can't even pinpoint a reason as to why they fell in love with each other in the first place. This is why it's so hard for me to root for them. There is no attachment as a viewer to their love story. If only the viewers understood why they have such strong attraction for each other, maybe there wouldn't be a clear line drawn as to why the 2nd lead is much favored by the majority.
SDM being more ashamed of having a stained blouse and a loose button in front of NDS rather than not backing up the program just showcased which she found more important. i can't believe she became a CEO.
But yah MEN ARE TRASH. smh
