Watched the second episode today and can't help but see similarities with A Business Proposal but with different…
All fairly standard drama tropes. If you think the "can't recognise her in slightly longer hair and eye makeup" thing is funny, remember that the usual drama disguise is just a pair of glasses! π What I like is that both dramas are using cliches with a knowing sideways wink to the viewer, and they're not always going down the expected path with them.
Well, there's definitely something wrong with her head because she's getting pains and dizzy spells. They have diagnosed her with a terminal brain tumour, but it could actually be a benign, removable tumor, or another condition that can be treated.
To me it seems as if the drama of Ms Wang is being relived with SaRa. And I thing YG sister was not his fathers…
I have wondered this before. This writer likes mirroring, so I did think she might be forcing YG to relive his father's dilemmas to make him more understanding.
Plot twist. The rest of the show is a courtroom drama. The past 46 episodes have all been the back story, told by the defence laywer, Mr Ko, to explain why his client, Mr Lee, murdered Jo Sa Ra. π
Well, they say TV doesn't influence people. I disagree. I'm watching a song contest and I am already violently biased against a singer called Sara Jo, without having heard or seen her song yet! Can't think why! π
Oh Iβve been saying that! Iβm hoping SaRas delusional mind made her think heβs her son.
Yes, I've wondered in the past whether Sa Ra is actually completely delusional... literally mentally unwell and twisting everything to fit her own narrative. Someone else replied that she seems too logical and seems to know what she's doing, but that's how some people are when they get that delusional. Despite knowing in the back of their mind that what they are doing isn't true, they convince themselves that it's fact and act accordingly, twisting their actions and manipulating people to fit in with their desired "truth".
There are several things that Sa Ra has not considered, that will be her downfall: * When Cha Gun hears what she's claiming, he will remember her speech about doing anything to get a rich man, and he will also be aware that the baby is probably his. He's not going to sit still and let his niece suffer because of her. * YG's memories could come back at any moment, as the previous ones did, and he's going to be utterly furious when they do. Even if she managed to persuade him to get married before then, it would be instant divorce when he remembered the past. * The kids absolutely hate her and adore DD. They're definitely going to be on the attack.
Here is a thought..the reason YG dad did not marry Ms Wang is because she did the same as Sa Ra claimed Se Ryeon…
Honestly, I have wondered since fairly early on whether the main point of this drama is for YG to start to understand that his dad may not have been the evil man he believed, and might have been manipulated.
I just feel like there should be one positive comment here....Personally, I'm still enjoying the show. I knew…
I agree. It. was always going to be very over-the-top and unrealistic due to the type of drama.
I suspect the only way to redeem Sa Ra now is either a terrible illness or a near-death experience that will make her repent of all her past wrongdoings. I have a feeling the writer may make her lose the baby in an attempt to gain the audience's sympathy.
Whatever happens, there will be a happy ending for our main little family in the end, so I watch each week to see what new twists and turns will occur on the way.
the show was last month extended for 2 episodes so there gonna be 52. The writer needs to give our Youngdan couple…
Yes, that's what I'm talking about. I suspect 51 and 52 were added because the writer's original plan would not have ended as well as the viewers hoped.
I have a strong suspicion that the writer had planned to end this at the end of episode 50 with the subplots neatly sorted in the nick of time and main leads happily hugging. End of story. Producers realised everyone would riot if it ended there, so they've added an episode for a wedding and a "happy family" episode.
I appreciate your point of view, and that might have been their aim, but the rendition is poor. And btw even if…
Oh yes, I agree that the repetition is now at a completely silly stage.
The whole pregnancy timeline is a good point too. I had even wondered whether Sa Ra had just convinced herself that she is pregnant (phantom pregnancy?) and pulled out an old pregnancy test to "prove" it to herself. She certainly seems mentally unwell at this point.
I'm always surprised when people get seriously angry about a drama showing unpleasamt people or situations. This drama isn't meant to be showing you an ideal way to live. It's pointing out faults in society, and how they can affect more people than you think. For instance, when Anna Kim left Dan Dan at the beginning, would she have made a different decision if she had known that even 27 years later it would cause pain to her, Dan Dan, Soo Cheol, Young Guk, and even, indirectly, Young Guk's children. As well as being entertainment, it's meant to provoke debate about family and relationships, and it's definitely doing that. There are already over 7000 comments just on here, and it hasn't even finished.
