The parents in this drama make me so grateful my parents are actually pretty chill, lol. My parents wouldn't care...…
😂 Your parents sound brilliant! I do hope everyone remembers this is a drama though, and all the characters are exaggerations. I would hate to think that a Korean might watch one of our UK soap operas and assume that every trope contained within it was an accurate reflection of normal English family life! 😂 It's fiction, people!
If the writer plans to redeem her before episode 52, they're leaving it far too late! At this rate, she'll have to die before any of the audience can feel even a tiny bit of sympathy for her.
Here’s my previous comment two days ago. @Luv I bet you she is pregnant with uncle’s baby and will try to…
So many people are predicting that SR will try to fake a pregnancy to fool YG, and the fact that he can't remember those 3 months definitely suggests that there will be some attempt to trick him about something. However, I hope the writer doesn't go for the pregnancy plot. It would be too boringly predictable, and if he fell for it, I would worry about his logic. He knows he can't even stand getting near her. Please, writer, be more original than that! Surprise us. We need something we don't see in every drama... like the magical handkerchief. You've surprised us in the past. Keep being different! Perhaps WDR and Se Ra could both go up the mountain and be blown off a ledge by a freak gust of wind?
Love the kids. Jenny knew he was in DDs room she used the mirror and saw him hiding ( not to good lol) she didn’t…
I had a suspicion that she used that mirror to peep. I was also fairly certain that she knew when they were on the day out and she led the boys away (Se Chan and Se Jong were definitely deliberately leaving DD and YG together, but I had a feeling Jae Ni was in on it too). It will be hilarious if DD and YG get all nerved up to break this huge news to the kids and they just say, "yeah, so what? We know."
Someone in the Viki discussions suggested that there might have been something in that scene that wasn't licensed for broadcast anywhere except for the live TV broadcast, so it would have been on the TV (which illegal sites ripped) but not on legal sites like Viki. That would make sense. It was a scene in an art gallery, so perhaps they don't have permission to show the artworks online.
why there are not subtitles on YG&DD’s gallery scene ?! 🤔
That scene isn't even in the Viki version. I watched on Dramacool last night (because I'm impatient) and on Viki this morning (because the translations on Viki are always excellent) and had to check twice because I thought I was imagining things.
I can't keep silent about it anymore.... As an avid watcher of chinese period dramas, I just have to say it....…
Yes! Also, she's not afraid to look stupid or clumsy. In too many of the period dramas, the girls act as though they should keep their faces set in a perfect expression at all times, and should look elegant even when they're meant to be cooking, carrying wood, etc. This girl is much more real.
It's pretty good. The music is absolutely fantastic, so you could watch it just for that. There are a few of the usual drama tropes, but they don't always go the way you would expect.
I hope next week's episodes will be as fun as the previews suggest. I love that they're trying to have a "secret" relationship, but it involves trays of a dozen dishes, right in the middle of the brightly-lit house! Put in some effort, and try ONE plate in a dark corner if you want it to stay secret! 😂😂 You might as well put up a neon sign saying "don't notice".
The ML is 37 years old and the FL is 30. I really don't know what the fuss was all about at the beginning of this…
The fuss made by a handful of viewers at the beginning of the drama was very odd. There is a scene where the young Dan Dan (about 12 years old) is lost and sad, and Young Guk (mid-20s) calms her down by playing games and takes her back to her home on his bike. There was nothing romantic in the scene. It was just an adult helping a child to cheer up and get home safely. Some strange people on the internet claimed it was inappropriate.
The age gap between the characters is 14 years. Dan Dan is 27 and Young Guk is 41.
I am dissapointted The scene is repeateting itself first younguk qnd now dan dqn i thinking has same fate losing…
I don't think they'll try the amnesia with DD too. This writer likes deliberately mirroring and contrasting. There are many examples where he has made DD and YG do the same thing in reverse, to show that they feel exactly the same about each other (the kisses, running to Namsan, etc.). He has also put DD and Sa Ra into similar situations and shown how they behave in completely opposite ways, to emphasise their opposite characters.
Does the kids like the FL? Can someone tell me how's their relationships so far? I don't mind spoilers
Yes. The oldest girl likes her as a teacher and looks up to her as an adult. FL helped her to deal with some bullies near the beginning. They seem closer in age than they really are, and get along well. I'm not sure what she would think of FL dating her dad. She hasn't found out yet. The little boys love FL, and like the idea of her as their stepmother, and actively try to get her and the ML together. It's very cute!
I have NO idea why this drama is 52 episodes. like why is this a thing?
Most countries have some form of long-running soap opera. Some can last for decades. This is a similar thing, but shorter. It's a popular format because the whole family can watch it together, and neighbours and friends can chat about their favourite characters.
