I was very shocked by the torture in EP25, I didn't expect them to go that far and even when she took care of his wounds and they played comedic music (EP26) I could not brighten up. It was too much for me, I really didn't expect that from this type of light hearted show.
Lucky I only caught up now and could watch the sweeter EPs right after

I have to admit that when I was once in an unrequired love, I bond together with someone who also had a crush on that person. We became best friends! I don't understand the bad bloody in all the dramas with Love Triangles. I am just gald to see that it is not the case here!

I do not understand why there are even contracts like this. Fake kisses feel real too when acting them out and are just as embarrissing, maybe even more embarrissing than real ones (bc you just stand there frozen till someone says cut).

We got a kiss scene that is new! He, on his knee (?) and then she takes his chin to kiss him (?) Aww I loved it! I am still beaming <3 His initial confusion and reaction afterwards, too adorable

I remember a korean web series that had typical korean weather (suddenly the 'sky breaks' and it rains heavily only to stop soon after). They had to integrate that into the series. It was not easy. Might be similar here, too. Just bad luck with the weather

If someone were to tell me that the novel is more detailed, I would go read it now but from what I read, it seems that the drama did actually a better job and gave the characters more depth so in the end we're stranded x.x I want more

But who deserves even more screentime (and probaby a few more sentences in your review) is Mo Sha Xing! <333
I also need a spin-off with Mo Sha Xing and Hao Chen. I just really need to understand how Hao Chen and Si Feng grew up to become the convicted people they are now. I mean, both are equally determained to follow their goals, truly a pair.

About WuTong what I enjoyed the most was that not only was his looks fitting the role of the handsome but vile villain but now and then you could see that he was a confused child under it all. When he was hit/wronged, his confused look was that of a child not understanding the world around it. But then before you could get a good look, he was back to being the bitter him. I think those moments only support your view on his character.

Do not be frightened by long dramas, you can always just drop them in the middle if they don't suit you. We all here seem to only stick around for the main couple. The romance is great and the chemesty fire. You should give it a try!
Others here (incl me) skip on the side couple who in early Eps fills almost half an Ep. Feel free to just skip office dilema and suddenly you are down to 12Eps instead of 36 haha but the romance is really worth the 'hassle'.

For me the romance of the main couple is also carrying the whole drama. They could cut on everything else and I wouldn't even mind. I never saw a drama where the romance was such a heavy lifter but doing such a great job! I really love the series and can easliy forgive the mediocre (at best) plot around it. Feels like a writer of the series was actually only interested in writing romance scenesl Would be great if other projects took in that writer to write romance for them haha

The Love Triangle is the main focus of the series and unlike many other dramas who formulate the same kind of triangle, this one is a breath of fresh air and I can only recomment this series. Give it a try, the romance is great and the friendship is greater hahaha

It's hard to beat L&R, we might need to wait months if not years for another epic drama like that.
Still, I am also very happy about this drama and am looking forward to every episode!

She is usually a nice person, just whipping out her phone while infront of the cake even seemed so out of character (who does that??)... I am dissapointed most in the writers than anything else ^^***

When she ghosted Du Lei's birthday celebration for the ML... I really disliked that. I get that ppl don't wanna ship them, etc but at that moment, she is not even being a good friend. UnU

There are a couple but they are scare or shallow x.x I think this one has the only one (I know of) where someone actually (kind of) confesses her feelings! X>X
