I'm not sure. During the conversation, she said she studied in America but when his brother wants her to go back abroad, he wants to send her to Europe.

It gets better after episode 3. Don’t let the first few episodes discourage you!
True. I agree. It gets better and I hope it would continue to do so. ❀️

I'm not sure if Yunqi's mom is alive. Maybe your right or maybe the ladyship that they're referring to is a foreign royalty at that time I remember when I watched my roommate is a detective which is also set in the republican era. It seems like they were colonised by foreigners and the leader of the country are foreigners too. Those royalties assigned give instructions to the government and the police. They also assign positions for them. My theory is not based on real life though. It's only an analysis I
had when comparing my roommate is a detective and this drama's era. Let's see.

To be honest, I was tempted to drop it after two episodes because I don't understand what's happening at all.…
In the trailer there was also something wherein Yunqi said that he is the descendant of Heaven official from pent. Does that mean that he has already accepted being the descendant? As of how the story goes for now, he doesn't want to be the successor and even want to disband pent so I'm also curious how he was convinced to be a successor. I think dropping the drama now would mean missing most of the excitement that it may give. I'll probably hold on to it a little bit more and see how it progresses. If it'll become boring or even more interesting. Let's see. πŸ‘

Also, the story of Lou Yun Song and his sisters. I want to know if his sister, mom and dad are really killed by Yunqi's dad. I also saw the sister's hand move before they left her to run for their lives so I was thinking maybe the sister is alive and she is Wu shuang. I haven't read the novel so I don't know if my theory is true but as the story progresses I became curious and quite interested with it.

To be honest, I was tempted to drop it after two episodes because I don't understand what's happening at all. The editing and the fight scene feels a bit off in those first 2 episodes but when I continued to the 3rd it kinda captured my interest and went on until ep 5. I think it's cute and interesting how Yunqi and Wu shuang say that they don't love each other but Wu shuang would tend to stick to Yunqi and do everything to save him. As for Yunqi he says he doesn't like Wu shuang but kept her comb secretly and wouldn't return it to her. I'm excited how their love story develops. There are also some hidden stories that makes me curious like what happened to Yunqi's dad and why does he have to sacrifice his mom.

What a happy ending. Aside from the great story, casts and ost, I like it that you could learn a lot of morals…
Also not everything you see is what it seems. Someone might play like a villain but that person might probably be doing that in order for you to be a better version of yourself and someone might be good to you but unfortunately a traitor in the end. One could not be sure since we are masters of our own mind. All we could do is be vigilant and choose whom we trust wisely. πŸ˜πŸ‘

What a happy ending. Aside from the great story, casts and ost, I like it that you could learn a lot of morals from here. Trusting someone doesn't need explanation. They may do something that infuriates you but if they really care for you and trusts that they really do, then you'll know it's for you well being. Loving someone and being their partner means sharing what's on your mind and compromising. Don't make decisions that you think would be best for them or the situation. Try to talk them out and come up with solutions together. Also as what they said in the ending part "Happiness doesn't come easily. True love is precious. So what we should do is to cherish it. Cherish what we have, cherish the people you have with you and cherish the good time you have right now." ❀️

I totally agree. However, I can't blame her mother for treating her like that. Even though she's strict, I can…
You're right. I agree with your opinion specially when you said she expects too much from her too fast. Oh well let's see how their relationship would develop πŸ˜πŸ‘

I haven't read the novel so. I'm not sure if she's scheming by nature since her mom is like that but as of now yes she's not scheming at all. She looks weak and that's probably why Yuanyi kinda feel like Yangyang needs more comfort compared to Shaoshang.

I like it when she said to herself "Instead of pleasing those people who are biased against you, you'd better expect less from others and be kinder to yourself. Thus you can live more freely." It's like a good advice specially for people who tend to change themselves based on what people expect and want them to be or just because they want to follow the trend but eventually lose themselves on the process resulting to loneliness or even suicide when depression's not properly handled or taken cared of.

Can't wait for new eps tomorrow! CSS's mom needs to step up, that's not how you treat your own daughter after…
True. But during the scene when she has to give baby CSS up and they're going out and then heard baby CSS cry from the inside and then she looked back. I can really feel her pain and unwillingness to leave but she has do it just because of the manipulation of that sister in law. How I wish I was able to see the miserable face of the sister in law when she was also leaving her daughter Yangyang. Too bad there's none. Maybe she didn't feel any because as she said Yangyang is weak.
