The love alarm app shows if a person is attracted to you, not love. SO is literally passing through crowd and…
YOU'RE BREAKING MY HEART!!! I'm feeling so bad for them. The SO ending was a nightmare. It neither made sense nor was fair to both of them. The writer just forced the idea of "love is a choice" down our throat when it was clearly wrong and unfair.
If SO get happy ending with JJ or happiness but the story is still dull, what would be comment section be liked?…
With the same story and just using HY as a propp like they used SO? I would be as disappointed as I'm now. Look, was the HY×JJ ending i liked the most? No. I admit i would have liked it better if they redeemed SO (he had issues) and reunited the two wounded people to heal each other (like in IONTBO) but do i not like the HY×JJ ending at all? Absolutely not. I had issues with how it unfolded and why but that HY×JJ concept was not unlikeable or anything. HY is a good person and i liked him. The more serious issues were the lack of consistency in character changes, little to no character development except for the last 20 minutes of finale where they just dropped everything without giving us time to absorb or understand the changes, the unbearable slow paced and boring plot. People are explaining they didn't have time to add details or explain the changes in characters and situations but looking at the slow paced plot, they had plenty of time if they got rid of useless scenes or storylines that didn't help the plot or characters to move forward. If you think about it the writers kind of messed up big time.
SO knew she was lying when she said she no longer liked him and he didn't understand why she did so. Have you…
Basic human courtesy and consideration to remove someone's pain (when you're the reason of pain) has nothing to do with a relationship especially when a matter of conversation is at stake.
Yeah we have different understandings and mindset so there's no point to argue.
SO knew she was lying when she said she no longer liked him and he didn't understand why she did so. Have you…
What the hell does it mean when you say that people don't have to have an explanation in something as serious as breaking a relationship? Do you really believe that! A relationship is a partnership of kinds and like every partnership, it is based upon mutual understandings and agreement. Now if someone wants to break up the partnership, ofcourse the person, who is being abandoned without any reason, would ask "Why" and the least he/she deserves is a reasonable explanation. It's called humanly consideration and fairness to people around you. Are you telling me SO didn't deserve what every human does!
It also is more about her state of understandings and values about how to treat a person who you loved and who loved you with all he had. She neither had the understandings nor the values to be what everyone should be. She knew he was in pain and didn't even try to ease it by talking it out with him. I don't know where you come from or what you're set of understandings are but what i have learned through life is people dear to you (as she was in love with him) or people who were considerate and affectionate to you, deserves to be treated with consideration and fairness.
not a spoiler actually...i still haven't watched this but why i feel like the drama is like my friend when i'm…
I am so sorry about your friend. But the SO and JJ never were like that. He kissed her first but never mistreated her. JJ broke up with him for no reason and he was the one left depressed for 5 years when JJ could have atleast given a plausible explanation. He was the miserable one in their story not her.
Some people says S2 is reality......In reality, If a girl breakup with her boyfriend for some immature reasons.…
Or atleast put in an effort to explain why they are breaking up and not wait for 5 years to protect herself because others pain didn't matter to her! I was fine with them parting their ways but how they did it annoyed the hell out of me. People are focused on JJ's pain and are trying to make SO look like the villian (the writers tried) when JJ was all along wrong about how she handled the situation with SO.
The realism of the drama that has an app that tells you who you love?! xD tbh if this was real life story, stuff…
No, people are explaining as why first love isn't always forever or things like her moving on (even if it didn't make sense) and why it is realistic. All I'm saying is watching a kdrama, realism is far off in the list to consider a drama good. They messed up the essentials and people are focused on the half hearted and lame message the drama tried to set out.
SH and JK were perfect together in true beauty, what i wanted for SJ was him moving on and doing things that didn't involve JK like getting a new girlfriend, working on his career and so much more. The writer didn't give him that closure till the end and he deserved it.
The lowest ratings are from people above 65 (see statistics) and that says a lot. The drama didn't provide any interesting or engaging element of plot or characters even if people say it's realistic. A drama should be interesting and engaging, if not viewers won't listen as to what you have to say as a writer. Watch "do you like brahms?" for realistic portrayal of building new relationships and you'll see what's wrong with the unfolding of events that led to the finale.
I don't freaking care about the message and realism of the drama if they had no main character i cared for or a plot i could take intrest in. Who watches kdramas for realistic situations and messages when the plot and characters are boring and lame as hell! The ending really didn't matter to me as they messed up the process of getting into the finale.
I deleted my last comments because I hadn't watched the season 2 yet, but now that I have I haven't changed my…
SO knew she was lying when she said she no longer liked him and he didn't understand why she did so. Have you ever been abandoned by someone you love without a reason? If not, it hurts and the worse thing is the person blames him/herself for what happened even when they have no fault in it. So i don't think she didn't owe him anything, the least she could do for the person she loved was to give a true explanation and not wait for 5 years and then say sorry without explaining things. Idk why you people are so against SO and his struggles when you people were sympathising with HY for waiting for JJ! Get your values and understandings straight.
True. But most viewers are under 18 or 20 I guess. They made this kind of story for wrong audiences.
So the lack of their relationship unfolding and its development was your only issue with the drama? How about the lack of character development, boring plot, inconsistent change is characters in last 20 minutes of the drama, the terribly slow paced storylines, JJ's character (who didn't learn anything), SO's character (who was just sidelined and used as a plot device when he was one of the main characters!), plot holes, lack of explanation and continuation of what happened in the first season and much more. I have explained it 10 times in the comment section and if you really are interested in me explaining its flaws, scroll down a little.
Just wanted to offer a different view to some of your points:- JJ was meant to portray a broken character. In…
I never objected to the part where she made mistakes, I was frustrated on how she never learned and breaking SO's heart was the least of her characterization flaws. SHE HAS NO TRANSITION FROM A HIGH SCHOOLER TO AN ADULT EVEN AFTER A TIME SKIP. You can see she's the same person till the last 20 minutes of the drama when she suddenly changes and confronts her issues like a real adult, that looked out of place and so sudden. They just dropped the change on you and it looked so fake. People do not change over a matter of a day especially someone like JJ, who didn't even have a transition from a teenage to an adult.
I never said JJ used SO as a propp, I mentioned on how SO was used as a propp for the end couple to come together by the writers. SO's character was sidelined and here's why; the whole point of his character in this series is his involvement with JJ and his absence wouldn't have affected the whole plot. That's what a writer would call an extra but the thing here is that an "extra" was the main character of the drama! He had no point, except his infatuation with JJ, to be included in a plot where JJ solve her inner problems and be together with JJ. That's not how a good writer use his character's especially when SO was the ML in the first season and many people wanted to see his story (even without JJ) but guess the writer thought this mess was a good idea.
THERE WAS NO CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND IF YOU FAILED TO SEE THAT THEN I DON'T KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN THE OBVIOUS. A happy ending does not mean character development. JJ's change is dealing with situations was brought up in that last 20 minutes of the drama without giving anything as to why the change happened. Her decisions and actions didn't make sense as to why I should pay attention to her character. There's a difference between character development and inconsistent change in character. HY's didn't change from the first season and his decision to not be second was a reveal of true character and not character development.
I would accept that explanation about SO if the whole letting go happened at episode 3 or 4. SO got a lame ass sorry and suddenly the last 5 years didn't matter! Lol, I have seen short movie of 20 minutes doing better at unfolding a plot through characters. Like I said he deserved his own story especially after what we were shown in episode 1.
There's was no growth (as it is a set of gradual events) but there's was change and it didn't make sense. If you think a good show should only send out a good message at the expense of boring plot and butchering characters, then you have different taste. I will pay attention to a drama as long as it keeps me interested and if it doesn't, I don't give a damn about an abrupt and sudden change in character which yielded the final message. Who watches kdramas for realism!
Same people who say HY and JJ didn't have chemistry (which I disagree with cause I think they were quite cute…
And who said anything bad about HY? It is true that HY×JJ didn't have chemistry and the writers didn't build one for SO×YJ. HY was a good person and deserved happiness as much as YJ but at the same time it is also true that his character was too good to be true and i was okay with that.
The SO ending was a nightmare. It neither made sense nor was fair to both of them. The writer just forced the idea of "love is a choice" down our throat when it was clearly wrong and unfair.
