In some way, this drama reminds me of the old telenovela "Rubi" with Barbara Mori. In that one the title character is incredibly rude, jealous, two-faced, manipulative and so darn greedy that she lets go of the one good man she could have had a loving future with, just for another man who has money and is obsessed with her.Rubi also mistook Alejandro for being the man with the money (though she never ended up with him due to her greed) like So jung mistook In wook for being rich as well in ep1. Rubi as a character was a lot worse, even becoming the villian later on, she was developed as a Anti-heroine who threw away chances of redemption just for her growing greed and jealousy. I prefer So jung much more as a character, she just takes advantage of the opportunity given to her by fate, instead of manipulating situations. She thinks Jae min can bring her the fortunate she has been looking for with all the money and security he can provide.
I TOTALLY LOVED READING IT since this story is one of my favourites i Lakhornland! I have only seen 1999 and 2008 versions though. I see you are kinda torn between these two, lol. Ahhh Pong as Monthai was absolutely GORGEOUS!!
I love the 1999 version the most though, Ek & Ae in that one just blew my mind away with their chemistry. And the way he touched her, ahhhh my heart!
It was entertaining despite the lacking romance (with a lacking ML) but our beautiful anti-heroine makes it all up with her redemption arc, her character developement. She is wonderful, and can never do wrong in my eyes.
Oh wow I didn't know that it was based on a novel! I'm glad you're enjoying it so far, Mario and Yaya just gave…
I finished it days ago and even posted a review, ahhhh i gave it 10 stars. Literally binge watched the drama in just 3 days and had a "lakhorn fever" when i finished it. Mario & Yaya are increcible, they never disappoint.
I really want to highlight the star-crossed lovers in this story, which were Oranee & Pawat, the mainleads siblings. Toonkla`s parents. They made my heart ache so much. It came as a total surprise to see a younger brother of a Praek (Male Hero) being so steadfast, strong, brave and passionate as i am so used to see the younger brothers of praek as pathetic weaklings. Pawat could himself have been a praek in another lakhorn. He lived and breathed his love for the gentle Oranee. He took zero bullshit from anyone, even from his older brother he respected so much.
I love how open he was, and how fierce he was in protecting Oranee and willing to do anything to be with her. More fierce than the praek himself was (and i do love Puhbodee by the way) but Pawat just stole the show for me in so many ways even after he died for that love. How he also did not let the evil mother-daughter duo get away with their shit.
One of the best korean teen romance movie i have ever seen. Its just so good i can`t,aghhh!
I loved the main-leads, just so darn cute and passionate about each other.Tae Sung made my heart bleed..i cried rivers for him. Despite his badass carefree persona, he was such a sad, lonely and tragic soul. His way of loving just broke my heart.
Shamelessly posting my review here again because it was one of the best dramas of last year: https://crabbyfordramas.wordpress.com/2022/04/15/f4-thailand-review/
I loved your review by the way! Such a terrfic installment to the Boys over Flowers saga!
This is actually a remake of a really, really old lakorn, if there are any similarities to a manwha then likely…
He did such a great job in this one, which i did NOT expect since this is his second male leading lakhorn, before this he had usually only starred as a supporting character except for the second lakhorn he worked in.
He portrays the character in the title Pummared. Groomed into revenge by his father, causing living hell for three sisters and himself being caught in the living hell he created with his own hands.
It was so darn epic. I enjoyed this one so much to my surprise.
I loved the tidbits of lines about relationships and love from both Klaokla`s & SaiKim`s point of view in every episode. It was narrated down to fit the situation in hand for every episode. Bad Romeo is also definitely heavily inspired by Judith McNaught`s romance novel "Paradise". I mean, the plot was so chronical to the novel in almost every way. And what a epic love-story this was. It was dark, painful, passionate and gripping. It hurt so good.
I never wanted this to end. So many smiles, tears and laughter i shared with these characters that were to die for, especially Klaokla & Saikim. Their unstoppable love...always growing. I felt so bad for them, my heart hurt so much when they tried to hurt each other. This was such a epic slap-kiss story, i just could not stop watching. Yaya & Mario did incredible job in this story, i am so amazed and in love with their passionate on-screen chemistry. Bad Romeo has become on of my favourite lakhorns to re-watch!
with all the money and security he can provide.
Its sooooo good
And this is in ep5. Omg.
But i absolute favourites in the slap-kiss genre must be:
1. Sawan Biang
2. Ra Rerng Fai
3. Ngao Asoke (1999)
4. Roy Marn (1990)
5. The Love Proposal

This line says so much about him.About them.
