I love 2018 version, although i thought the card game was slightly ridiculous and i am NOT fan of the second couple…
I know there are several versions, but i am specifically talking about a version made from Japan since it is ORIGINALLY their story. They have so many actors that will make a terrific Tsukasa and Makino. They made their versions in 2005 and 2006 for 2 seasons. It has been over a decade, they should make another remake. It is their story, i mean they should show off now when the chinese, korean and also thailand made their own versions successfully.
Japan should show us what more they could do with this story.
If you Pay $5.00 a month to Lakornpixie they will update it. I was gonna sub it but I can't handle it, I am an…
Thanks for the info. If you watch it from a historical perspective (and that it is fake off-screen) it shouldn`t be that hard to handle. I am both a animal and human lover, i can handle their deaths on-screen still because i know at the end of the day that it is fake off-screen.
I wish some other group than Bitter Kisses would pick up this lakhorn for subbing, Bitter Kisses won`t even sub this until 80% of their other lakhorns are finished and that have been going on for years now.

I live in Sweden, so i have no idea what is going on in Asia, least of all Thailand. Whatever information i gathered was from social media. All their MVs have reached over 1 million views in just a few months, Who am I reached 18 million views in just 6 months, THAT is sucess in Thailand. As i mentioned before, they will be having a "Shooting Star"-concert with F4 members, and the industry in Thailand never does that if a drama haven`t reached ultimate fame.
I don`t remember what more the author said and remember seeing her post in twitter. I will ty to look for it again.

Thai version i am happy to say looks to have really become sucessful, they are even having a concert later this month dedicated to this series, i am so excited about that.
Much favorable reviews on social media as well. Viewers from all around the world have praised it and even the manga author (to the original series) expressed on social media what thai version has done and she was very touched by everyone`s performance and thought Bright really made a cute Tsukasa.

Have you seen "The Love Proposal"? That one has actual drama and it only finished airing this summer. I highly recommend it! One of the best dramas of 2022.
I just got used to fast-paced lakhorns that i just finished like "The Love Proposal" and "Love and Deception". But i hate dropping lakhorns so i will try to force myself to keep going since i really like the Female Lead actress.
One thing that really blows my mind is that this lakhorn has the same director and scriptwriter as another Hit lakhorn "Fah Mee Tawan" which is a very good revenge lakhorn and one of the best dramas i have ever seen. How the hell have the same creators done this lakhorn as well?!!!!
I’m going rehash some memories of being 14 years old and watching Boys Over Flowers (Korean). That was the show…
I understand and agree with your points about how very romantisized this story telling of bully-falling-for-his-victim really is. Also in the consideration that the original manga-series was written in the early 1990s, and these tropes was heavily romantisized back then but gradually slowed down in that department because our society is less tolerant of this stuff.
The original manga series, (although i am a fan) is very problematic. None of the adaptations is as this toxic as the manga itself. I just can`t tell you what Thyme`s character did in that one to Gorya`s character. Its almost traumatizing to some readers.
The movie adaptation in 1995 was done when the manga-series wasn`t even finished, so its just pure comedy without any real depth.
The 2001 taiwanese adaptation is brutal in the toxic tropes, Thyme in that one attacks Gorya and even sexually assaults her. He even slaps her later in the drama. PROBLEMATIC as heck.
2005 japanese version did not use any of these toxic romantisizing tropes because Thyme never touched Gorya in any unwanted way. He never took up her space unless if she wanted him as well. Although, that does not make HIS character any less problematic. He is such a violent and self-destructive force in this version, nearly monstrous.
2009 k-version has that one forced kiss where he grabs her, its just so uncomfortable to watch. But this is also a era where Asia still made this problematic tropes in their dramas, only with less brutality.
2018 chinese version made the decision to cut off the whole bullying in the storyline (one of the reasons some viewers prefer this version as their fave) but they didn`t eliminate Thyme`s violence...which in a great way didn`t take away the essence of this story. Beacuse he is still problematic, and does forcefully kiss her and uses the threat of violence on her.
I am sick of some viewers that say that the violent scene in ep 7 in F4 Thailand was romantisizing Thyme in some way. What the hell is romantic in that scene? I only see horror, destructiveness...Thyme being suffocated and having no idea how to handle his emotions. Directing all his rage at Gorya and almost hurting her in the process.
I hate that scene, but in a artistic way i know what the writers wanted to convey in that scene. Thyme at his lowest point. And it is not a pretty sight.

You watching some good dramas lately?
