I enjoyed this drama; it was better than I expected :D
The story was good, especially about the rebirth / isekai plot and the plot about families doing fireworks was interesting. It's the first time I saw a story about that.
Moreover, the leads were great together, their chemistry was good, and their kiss scenes were excellent! <3 Plus, the acting was good, and the production overall was great considering it's a short drama :) And it's a happy ending, I recommend this drama ^_^
I enjoyed this drama and did not at the same time. The story left me anxious and tense. I wanted to slap a lot of characters.
On the positive side. The acting is good, the music and the production overall are good as well.
However, the story is a bit dark, and it is messed up. Leaving aside the war between the 2 states, as war and the struggle for power is always messy.
But how the male lead treats the female lead is awful and then afterwards saying it's all for her sake, it's messed up. Ok, maybe he had his reasons, but he pretty much left her with trauma. He really was cruel, violent, played games, threatened her, etc.
However, at the end, at least he chose to let her go and gave her own freedom and space. Then they met again 3 years later, and I assume they ended up together again.
For a short drama, it's not bad overall. I do recommend it, just prepare yourself to be anxious and tense.
I really enjoyed this drama :) I love that it gives the message that women are as capable as men, and they do not need to limit themselves. Of course, each person has different abilities and talents, and we use them to help one another.
Moreover, I loved the relationship between the stepmother and the three children. The message is that even if you are not blood-related, you can still be a family. And we usually see and read stories about stepmothers being evil, so this was nice and different.
Also, I loved the cast, characters, acting, production, the costumes, the music and the whole story.
For the ending, it was a bit lacking, but I expected it from a short drama. However, we did see the stepmother and the children reunite in the modern world ^_^
I really enjoyed this drama. Even though it's not perfect or the most original story ever, it was nice and enjoyable to watch :)
I do not know how to explain it exactly, it was like there was a calming effect in this drama. Even though one of the main plots was based on a painful loss of a loved one.
The negative sides of the drama. Some stuff was left in the air or glossed over. Plus, there were lots of unnecessary flashbacks.
Also, what exactly happened with Sea's family? As his dad was mentioned, but never appeared and his mother maybe had another family and he did not talk to her? I do not know. As I got that the point was that Sea was alone and then found a family in his friends and they helped him open his path to music. But, for me that left me a question mark.
Plus, neither of the characters' family were ever mentioned. Like how is it possible to never mention your family? Except for Neil, who formed a band with his brother. If I pick with this drama, I'll never end, so I'm going to leave it as it is and just say that I enjoyed it overall. And let's say it was a short drama, was they could not include everything.
The positive sides of the drama. I enjoyed the cast, characters, acting, music, the bilingual aspect (it was nice to hear Taiwanese, Thai and English and doing their best to communicate, it felt realistic and hilarious moments), the friendship, the romance, the bromance and the production. The place where it was filmed was beautiful as well. I am maybe biased because I love the sea <3
I do recommend this drama, it's literally a fast watch. Like I finished it in 2 days.
I really loved and enjoyed this drama! :D It was really interesting and different from the usual Isekai dramas or self-aware characters in a story.
It even called out the usual cliche moments that happen in dramas, like for example there was a moment where Su Luo Luo was going to feed Lu Huai medicine through mouth to mouth and Su Yun Qi told her that it does not make sense. It was hilarious as in reality nobody would do that. Moreover, the story was full of twists, and I did not guess what would happened next.
Also, despite being a low budget drama, it still was a good production, the costumes and background were nice, I liked the cast and characters and the acting, especially of the female lead, she was great.
I really loved the character of the female lead, Su Yun Qi the most. I think she was the most humane female character I ever seen. She wasn't totally good or bad. Like us humans we are full of flaws, we're not bad but we're not totally good either.
And like her, I try to protect myself first. After all, if you do not protect yourself first who would? At least excluding family and sometimes even family goes against you. But she did try to protect Lu Huai as well, she just had a savage way about it lol.
I love that Su Yun Qi never gave up and won against the Fortune Writer. Then she became one herself but chose to let others decide their own life and fate. Plus, despite our leads going through a lot, went through a lot of pain, they have a happy ending :D
I recommend this drama; it was interesting and original :D
Overall, I enjoyed this drama. It was cute, light, adorable and lots of fluffy moments :) Moreover, I loved the leads, God and Diew, they were cute and adorable together. I loved their interactions; their kiss scenes were awesome, and their relationship was healthy <3 Even the misunderstandings were resolved quickly and I enjoyed that ^_^
For the other couples, I wish we saw more of them or developed them more. There should have been more moments between Beer and Wan, we saw few. And especially there should have been more between Game and Win, these two we barely saw anything and I wondered whether they were together or not. It was just stated that they were.
For the story, I did enjoy it and there were essential parts, but it did have draggy and filler moments. Or maybe for me it got boring. I either fast forward some parts or did something else while watching. Honestly, this type of drama is better when it's shorter and to the point.
However, I enjoyed this drama, and I recommend it ^_^ Itโs leaves you feeling positive, hopeful and with a smile on your face :D
This drama was not bad, but not the greatest either.
The acting of some actors was bad at times, the worst was the male lead, like he had no expressions at all.
Also, the leads, Zhao Lu and Mu Ting had no chemistry at all, I could not feel any love between them. Their kiss scenes......they shouldn't have bothered to do it.
The production overall was not bad. Afterall, it had a low budget, so the effects were not the greatest. However, the costumes were nice, I liked them.
For the story, overall, it was not bad, it had potential. But I lost interest in it, so even though it was a short drama, and the story was moving quickly, it got annoying and draggy. I wanted it to end quickly.
For the ending, I cannot see it as a happy ending. Yes, Mu Ting saved her, and the leads reunite but she does not remember him, so that's considered sad.
Up to you whether to watch or not. If you're curious or have nothing to watch, go for it. But if not, do not bother. As I said, it's not bad, but not the greatest either.
I enjoyed it and loved it. Plus, it's a beautiful drama. But I kind of expected more.
I can't complain about this drama, I did enjoy it. The story is beautiful, I loved the cast and characters, the acting was excellent, the production was great, the plot about the studying and the school was good as well. I rarely watch school dramas lately, but this one was quite good.
Of course, what I loved most of all were our leads. They were cute together and had great chemistry. They both went through a lot in their lives, and they do complement each other. I do not mind at all that their romance is slow. After all they are still students and not all romance (either BL or straight) must be quick or must show us lots of kiss scenes, sex scenes, etc.
For the last episode, I knew immediately that Sheng Wang did it on purpose and he decided to lose points from his exams to move to another class. Like how can it be possible? Sheng Wang calculates everything and does everything for a reason. The one thing he miscalculated was that he fell in love with Jiang Tian. But since their parents were together and to be married, they were going to be brothers. And he saw that as something to fix and he had to put his feelings away. That is so sad.
On the other hand, Jiang Tian realised it too that Sheng Wang did it on purpose. Like he told Sheng Wang that he could fool and lie to others, but he cannot fool him. My heart broke when Jiang Tian took him to the other classroom and cried afterwards. It was so sad.
Like we the viewers know that Jiang Tian loves Sheng Wang from his actions, but we do not know exactly if Jiang Tian realises that he loves Sheng Wan. I think he does but he decided to put his feelings away as well. Or maybe he chose to ignore them because of what happened with his father.
The ending is frustrating, it's left in the air. Like they both need to communicate and express their feelings more.
Anyway, Jiang Tian decided to wait for Sheng Wan to come back to class and sat at his seat to keep it for him. While I think Sheng Wang realised heโs going at it the wrong way and that he did say that he is still young after all. Like he still has infinite possibilities, and he does not have to overthink it. Maybe he will go back to class A and face his feelings, I do not know.
I would love to see season 2 and see the story continued. It would be nice if we see them going to university and start work later. Afterall, the story is based in 2012. I finally found out the timeline after wondering throughout the whole drama what year it was lol!
Also, the actors are much older that their characters, so we can see them majoring in something and start working in a job that wanted. Plus, I really want to see them admitting their feelings for each other and end up together.
Anyway, I recommend this drama but prepare yourself for a frustrating ending.
I kind of liked that the villain was just pure evil (like how in Lord of the Rings Sauron is just evil), too many…
Fair enough if you see it that way, it depends on what you wanted to see in a drama. In my case, in this drama it felt essential if you had a backstory about the villain since it was one of the main plots of the plots.
Anyway, it's different opinions which are both right. Thank you for reading my comment and taking your time to comment :)
Lol, me too :D In Strong Girl Nam Soon I wanted the villain to end up with the female lead. Like he really had good chemistry with the female lead more than the male lead.
I loved it and I really enjoyed it! <3 It made me full of emotions, I cried, laughed, was sad, angry, in pain, etc. I almost did not watch it because of the bad reviews; however, I loved it.
Ok, I do agree with some of the reviews and the rating of 9.1 on MDL is a bit high. Plus, the story is not perfect and is flawed, but like who isn't? It's made by humans so of course it's flawed. However, the most important thing is that I really enjoyed it <3 And it's a romance k-drama of course, it's full of cliches and exaggerated moments.
Now, what I did not like in this drama.
1. It would have been better if it was shorter, like it had many moments with fillers, like episode 12 was full of fillers and got draggy.
2. What got repetitive was the toilet / poop comedy, like it was overused a lot. It got too much.
3. The villain of the story, or the one tied with bad fate with Im Sol and Ryu Seon Jae, was just a villain. Like what was his back story? Like he was part of one of the main plots in this story and he was literally just a villain, just evil. Like whom was he? What happened to him? Why did he turn evil in the first place? I wish they had given him some backstory instead of being tied to the leads, with no reason whatsoever. Or there was a reason and I missed it, I do not know.
4. The time travel plot got too much, exaggerated and draggy at one point. They literally curved my heart out. It was too much for our poor leads, Im Sol and Ryu Seon Jae. Like what did they do to deserve this? Ok, I can't complain about this as I think that was the point of the drama, lol.
The rest of the drama I did enjoy it. I loved the cast, characters, acting, couples, family dynamics, romance, bromance, music, costumes, production, comedy and the painful parts. I mostly loved the time travel parts with the digital watch and the switching between the 2008, 2009 and 2023 timeline. That was the most interesting for me.
Overall, I loved it and enjoyed it. Of course, it's flawed but it was interesting. I love fantasy plots and with this one I'm satisfied <3 Plus, it's finally a happy ending for our leads after all they went through ^_^
I enjoyed this drama, but this story is flawed and not perfect with lots of things that do not make sense. However, I decided to see it as it is, especially since they made it into 8 episodes and did not drag it on. So, I like it as it is. Plus, I enjoyed the food scenes as well.
What I most loved about this drama and what got me to watch it was the main couple. I loved their chemistry, and their kiss scenes were great. I enjoyed the second lead couple as well.
Whether to watch or not. Since it's short it's great for a fast watch and great for those looking for good kiss scenes. If you are looking for a story, it's not bad but not the greatest either. So, it's up to you and enjoy it as it is :)
I enjoyed it overall; the plot was interesting and enjoyable. Transmigration plot or Isekai plot is one of my favorites and this one is quite good.
However, the ending felt rushed and somewhat unsatisfying. Ok, in a way I understand it had to end like that since it was a revenge plot, but still. I especially wanted Ji Wan Er and Gong Ye Qi to really have a happy ending. Their ending was cruel.
Even the ending of the Empress after all she had done was like for nothing. At least Lin Xi Yao and Ji Yun had a good ending since like they were the lead of the novel.
For our leads in the drama. They had a bad ending in the ancient times, but I'm glad Hua Qing Ge and Ji Chu reunited in the modern world. In a way, I wish they showed they that showed all 7 of them in the modern world, with Ji Feng included. He did not deserve it either.
Anyway, I enjoyed the drama, nonetheless. I also liked the cast, characters, acting, costumes, background, production and music. I recommend this drama :)
I enjoyed this drama, it was enjoyable and cute <3 It was also interesting to see it was about makeup, so it's different from the usual office Japanese dramas. I loved the chemistry between the leads as well ^_^
Although I like short dramas and straight to the point ones, this drama feels like it had more to tell. I wish it was a bit longer and maybe explored other characters. Or maybe included a second lead couple.
The story was good, especially about the rebirth / isekai plot and the plot about families doing fireworks was interesting. It's the first time I saw a story about that.

But when I looked it up, you can find it on dailymotion or on BiliBili for free. If you have Netflix, I think you can find it there as well.
