Episode 12 summaryKJG: blah, blah, blah, blahhhhhKing: *screams*Me: Damn right!!! show 'em who's the boss!!!!KJG:…
This is hilarious! And you are 100% right on all counts. I would send the concubine to some desolate island for a period of "reflection". If that island happened to have deadly snakes....ah, it happens.
No , she's just a good actor when a negative role gets our nerves means actor did thier part wonderfully , I don't…
The first drama I watched her in was "Beautiful Love, Wonderful Life" and she played a very innocent and sympathetic character. When I watched her in this, I was stunned because I really, really dislike Jo Hwa Jin a lot.
I see how evil the Kim's clan are. They make people suffered and used the king as puppet for their selfish gain.…
Loved your thoughts in this. There are two Chinese historical dramas that stand out in their ability to depict royal cruelty: "Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace" and "Royal Nirvana". In both, the acting was a 10++ and the script definitely did not flinch from dark side of relationships. In both, I skipped whole episodes because it messed with my emotions too much.
Like Eagle said below, in episode 8, the King is with the Queen at her home and the Concubine comes for a visit.…
True, but I believe in the theory that the chef and the Queen are one soul. I think because the Queen was born in the Joseon period, she was repressed and taught to not speak up whereas the Chef was allowed and pretty much spoke and acted without filter. Honestly, once the Chef invaded the Queen's mind and mannerisms, I couldn't imagine not falling in love with her. She / he is an awesome character and Shin Hye Sun plays it with perfection.
Can somebody tell me whether the king will love the Queen? I'm on episode 5 and so curious. It annoys me when…
Like Eagle said below, in episode 8, the King is with the Queen at her home and the Concubine comes for a visit. He's lukewarm to the Concubine, at best. The Queen wants nothing from him, acts and says pretty much whatever comes to mind and it's refreshing to the King. He flat out enjoys the puzzle she is. By episode 8 towards the end, I was laughing so hard I couldn't catch my breath. Hang in there, the seeds of romance are definitely starting.
I'm guessing the Queen will get pregnant otherwise her own clan will get rid of her
I'm thinking that the devious concubine, seeing the King and Queen getting closer and closer, will be "pregnant" and then blame the Queen for a sudden "miscarriage". I hate this character more and more
as you saw it, can you tell me what's the ending in the chinese one?
Oh gosh, don't ask. It has two endings with the queen dying in both. In the book that "Go Princess Go" was based off of, the King and Queen live very happily in the past and have a bunch of kids. That's the ending that I like and made sense.
I'm loving this kdrama and I can't wait until tomorrow's episode
I loved episode 7 because the King finally displayed emotional protection for the Queen. At least in the first half.
I think the second half of this episode could be called a transitional one. Kim So Yong is outside the palace and starting to piece together what led up to jumping in the lake. I'm wondering if the comedic tone to this drama will taper off as the King and Queen team up.
While I'm waiting on subtitles, there's a website called "Drama Milk" that does a live recap while airing. It…
Yes, I did. I watched the raw version, then went to Drama Milk for scene details. I'm truthfully obsessed with this show to the point I actually watched the Chinese version and quickly this realized theirs wasn't a good reference point. By the way, I laughed out loud on your Viki posting.
Ep 7 is not yet available on Viki with subtitles. Ugh.
While I'm waiting on subtitles, there's a website called "Drama Milk" that does a live recap while airing. It definitely helps with the pain of waiting.
