Episode 32 had me laughing out loud several times during the episode and hope these actors get more work in the Romcom department. Definitely a gift for this viewer.
Thank you, thank you, and thank you! I will definitely check it out today. I love all drama settings (modern, etc), but it seems I gravitate towards loving one if it's a historic one. The characters seem to have a richer texture, if that makes sense.
Don't you think she took that decision on her and she was the who abandoned Ling Rui and not the other way around.he…
I struggled with that also and the only reason I could think of that he wouldn't leave is because of all the struggles Fang Ning was facing. His character, in my mind, is flawed in his self righteousness; he is loyal, hard working, morally upright but inflexible at times. I loved, loved, loved episode 13 because it was a pinnacle make or break point for their relationship. Because they started their relationship with money in the middle, he saw her as fake. She fell in love almost immediately, he saw all her affections as false and their interactions over the dinner table cleared the air. I don't think he would have ever pursued his dreams in Germany while she faced a crisis at home and Fang Ning knew this.
Also the whole situation is just absurd. She found out the he is the Wolf boy and they immediately assume that…
I think the best evil character is the one that believes; they know what is best for a nation, for a spouse, for a daughter or son. That they maintain their character without compromise and that type of person will make me turn on all the lights in the house. I think they are much scarier than any boogeyman.
I also gravitate towards dark love stories and agree 100% with your rating. The hardest part about this ending is what to do next. I call it the show-hole and expect to be lost until something else can take its place.
Episode 19 is EVERYTHING..... the meaning of this drama...
I am so very, very glad you wrote this! I've watched this entire series in raw form and have slowly crawled through each subbed episode. I finished episode 19 about 30 minutes ago. Love, in its purest form, is the hardest thing to write and portray onscreen. There is that very, very small tightrope walked that can pendulum swing between being unbelievable and saccharine or too rushed and lacking context. I watched episode 19 thinking the actors, the writing, the setting was perfection. Two people who have longed for each other as children are talking as adults and looking forward to fulfilling a future together. I had tears running down by the time it ended. It truly is EVERYTHING in the meaning of this drama.
Also the whole situation is just absurd. She found out the he is the Wolf boy and they immediately assume that…
The King is such an interesting character, especially in his dealings with Bo Wang. He adores him as a soldier and son because of his battlefield accomplishments and ability to help attain and manage power. When Bo Wang's affections were seen upon something other than him, there was nothing other than malice contempt the object of his affection. The king is both intelligent and evil and I can't imagine what each of his sons experienced under such a manipulative microscope.
