I was wondering everyone's thoughts on a couple of questions: 1- Do you think Li Cheng Yin ever fell in love with the 9th Princess? If so, where in the story? 2- Do you think the Princess would have been happy with Gu Jian at the beginning if he had run away with her? 3- If there was a perfect ending to this drama, what would it be?
I also can't stand her she's getting on my nerves, although I don't think she's really as dumb and naive as she…
@mamadrama I've watched the raw episodes up to 32. In episode 31, there is a dinner scene with SeSe on one side of the Prince, XF on the other. SeSe makes a cutting remark (in Chinese, have no idea what she said) but the look on the Prince's face is priceless. I'll just say he pretty much hands SeSe's remarks back to her and down her throat. I can't wait til the sub it.
SeSe has no idea she's getting played by the prince. I'm glad. I really don't like her.
I agree. She's a character that epitomizes the court life of moves and countermoves for personal gain. I'll definitely cheer when when they get rid of her.
I do not care how others say about the ending or how cruel is the ML towards the FL, I ship them hard, ship them…
Every.....freaking....episode utterly breaks my heart. If the Princess had been spoiled, self serving or conniving (hello SuSu), then both ML's would be considered heroes. Since she is neither of those and written as an endearing character, the two ML's realize they won the war but lost any hope of happiness. Add to that, she gradually remembers the past and I'm a mess after every episode. This drama is pure gold.
Every time I watch Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na together in this drama, I start believing in unicorns and leprechauns. Seriously, those two are like magic in each scene!
same!!! honestly 1 ep a day is just not enough for me I'm dyingggggg
1- Boody Romance 36 episodes long , the storyline and acting has made this one stay in my memory to this day 2 - Story of Ming Lan - the first four episodes are very, very slow but after that, the story unfolds with a character development that made this an extraordinary drama. The actress who plays Ming Lan's mother -in-law deserves and Oscar. She almost had me increasing my blood pressure medicine. 3- Untouchable Lovers - this drama comes in two parts with very little continuity between but the two main lead characters have an off the charts chemistry. 4- Ever Night - the middle dragged, a lot, but the first 20 episodes and last 10 episodes were really, really good.
This drama is honestly consuming me lately. I would highly recommend it but it does depend on your personal tastes.…
I'm beyond grateful for this forum which allows me a chance to vent and read everyone else's thoughts. This has to be my favorite drama of all time because of the story line and writing. The characters are allowed to display their greed, passion and sometimes, kindness and that is rare in drama storytelling. I'm obsessed waiting for the next episode every day.
I am totoo didn't like what wrong with secretary Kim but you can't compare it with goblin and touch your heart…
I thought I was alone in not really caring for What's Wrong with Secretary Kim and I'd add Encounter to that mediocre list (the "Encounter" chemistry between the main leads in was definitely off ). Lee Dong Wook and Yoo In Na have an actor chemistry that could transcend most written material, even though I'm liking this story line. Yeah, it's not a complicated plot line (yet), but the entertaining factor is on point.
He is faking it with the other girl. He is not in love; he is using her to survive. If he didn’t play palace…
I used google translate on the epilogue of the book (chinese to english) and I started laughing at some of the absolutely funky translations google came up with.
I think the translation is a lil off. Gu Jian specifically said: “If we went back and start everything again,…
Thank you so much! The novel and this series have a Shakespearean feel to them because the writer(s) allow the audience to see the tragedy unfold while enveloping the viewer on a journey with the characters. When Chinese dramas do this type of production really, really well, I think about the story line all day long.
I need a little help with a line of dialogue in episode 10. When Li Cheng Yin asks "do you think we did wrong", Gu Jian replies, "if we went back and repeated a step, then we wouldn't have been this wrong." Could anyone explain what this means?
if you already read the novel and know the ending, you can recognize the ending scene by watching the trailers....
Would you happen to have a link to the full novel translation? I'm up to Chapter 25 and just about had a heart attack when the translation stopped there.
