Yes Lin Yusen was very level headed and mature. Given what happened to him with his career gone, his family being the way there were and the girl he liked had not even bothered to acknowledge him, he could have been the most insecure person and it could have been justified but he was not. He had a very positive open outlook towards life. It took a lot of courage for him to approach her again and date her . But once he had decided, he never wavered . Xiguang really grew and matured with his nurture. It was a beautiful story because they both fully embraced each other for who they were. Xiguang’s college classmates were a nasty lot- they never cherished her as a friend or for who she was. And the damage they did to her identity and self esteem was really serious.

Well she was sacrificing herself and that is being selfish . That is why she felt guilty when she was talking to that kid who was talking exactly like her about revenge. She realized she was wrong when she was just consumed by revenge .
