I agree that there is no point in comparing dramas that have nothing to do with each other. I also have to call…
I have to disagree and I watched more than half that drama to make the decision to drop which means I gave it a fair chance because I liked the actors. It was the most ridiculous story on earth.
Even while she is sleeping, she is still breathing, right? Whether it's the scent of a balm or the smell of scent…
Well yes this is not her first time existing within a mortal and staying in the mortal world . May be she saw things through those mortals she possessed but that does not mean she understood mortals or how those senses worked. She still saw and felt things around her from a spirit’s POV

We can disagree on the story aspect. I really did not buy the story of POJ and dropped it at 22 episodes. I did not like how they never gave the ML’s character any teeth. And a mere butcher woman becoming this great general was just not believable to me.
Some people have too many irrelevant gripes here . 1. Cinematography is bad. Really? Is that the only thing that makes a drama good? According to me it is the story and actors. And they are both top notch here 2. The way He Simu’s lack of senses is shown. The interpretation here is that she lacks MORTAL SENSES but as a spirit she has her own way of figuring things out i. e spirit sense. That is how this should be interpreted. That is how fantasy works 3. I am tired of seeing these comparisons to POJ . I get it a lot of you liked that drama but is it some kind of benchmark that all other dramas should live on? Because I thought that drama severely lacking in story. So stop peppering comments about the ‘greatness’ of that drama here .
Yeah, that is just her opinion. I'm surprised she didn't bash PoJ for it's over-the-top lighting. Heck, it's winter…
Lighting and cinematography cannot make up for a lack of good story and according to me the story of POJ was severely lacking. It was an incredulous story with no depth . I can’t just watch ‘beautiful things’ with no substance and the was the essence of POJ for me
Guys! how’s this one. I read some negative reviews on Twitter.
I am thoroughly loving it so far. It is such a unique story and the leads have done an amazing job . I would watch and judge because some of these negative comments and reviews just don’t make sense atleast to me .
i've watched a fair amount of shows, from tvb, to kdrama to cdrama to jdrama... pursuit of jade is special one...…
I did not buy the story of a mere butcher woman becoming all powerful while the real general was reduced to being a tool for romance . No amount aesthetics and cinematography can top a good story. I am not against showing a strong FL- but not at the expense of the ML character or suppressing other characters just to elevate the FL with an incredulous story is not my cup of tea. I dropped it after 22 episodes .
No its not good in my opinion. Watch pursuit of jade cdrama. Thats good!
The Long Ballad was so good and this one is good too and these manly costars really work well for her. Especially when Dilraba is playing the strong FL. She does it so gracefully without overpowering them . But then both Wu Lei and Chen Feiyu are powerful actors
No its not good in my opinion. Watch pursuit of jade cdrama. Thats good!
Agreed with what you said about Chen Fei Yu and Wu Lei that is why they match with Dilraba well. I am still not convinced with ZLH and her. Ply I have been very disappointed in everything that ZLH has done recently. He is a good actor but he was not utilized well in POJ . He was exactly that - a cosmetic general or in name only. I dropped that drama because the story was bad and I did not like how he was sidelined completely.
That is how the foundation is laid. There are no expectations in this love story . One is a ghost and the other is a mortal - they are slowly accepting each other but only the mortal has attachment and love - a spirit does not. And Duan Xu knows this
This is a great explanation and really links back to when he was telling Simu that he lives for the moment when…
Oh yes that sandcastle analogy described it perfectly. He also goes on to say how he kept building sandcastles and the waves made them sand again and again . So that is how he looks at life - he embraces the changes and transient things
Even while she is sleeping, she is still breathing, right? Whether it's the scent of a balm or the smell of scent…
Yes , what I meant was she is still learning to be a mortal and she does not know much about dreams but she was able to tell the difference just from the smell of the sachet and she was awake
