I disagree. Still loving it and going strong. And I am definitely not watching it for the romance. Not needed - there are so many interesting things happening. And the story is so well written . Romance would be out of place in this story.

And you are right - we have a mentally ill FL who is trying to sort herself out and the ML has his own demons too. We are looking at two scarred people here . Yes this is the best adaptation I have seen- probably even better than the original novel- which I did read . And yes it is her POV- and all of it may very well come apart because her memories are unreliable because she had suppressed so much and there may be things she does not know. We have to see all of this slowly unfold. Romance is not everything in a story. I am glad we have a limited amount going on here because anything more would distract us from the actual plot which is so intriguing at this point. If that is what people want they should be watching a different drama. Not something as complex as this. The actors are doing a fantastic job- taking it out on them is plain BS

Third uncle is right in some ways. There might be other things that Ye Li does not know. She only has her version of the past events and even then her memories are unpredictable. Gosh this really is such an interesting, intelligent and intriguing narrative . Amazing !

Astronomy , meteorology ? Solar eclipse previous day and rain next day? 😂😂. It was good ! It’s called data analysis and that charlatan Xian Kun was manipulating the data to his own advantage. I do feel sorry for Consort Qin but I think she was very selfish as far as that decree was concerned- she did not think it through.

Agree with you - it is frustrating. I have pointed this out a number of times. Some people just want smut and nothing else’s. It’s kind of disgusting if you think about it. They are telling us such an interesting, intelligent and complex story but of course that is not what some of these viewers want .

On episode 25 - Consort Qin is already suspicious of Ye Li. Waiting to see how this whole thing plays out

I think they need to get to the adult arc. Now it’s dragging a little bit. Mom definitely belongs in prison or in a mental institution. I am just surprised that no one cares. The FL looks like will go down a dark path even more. God knows what will happen to the ML. It’s a very toxic environment for both of them and they are just 18 .
