As I am watching I get it - he wants her to become stronger and be more of a leader who sees and understands everything that is going on around her. Maybe that is why he has thrown her into this cesspool of snakes . But he also needs to maybe give her some pointers rather than just put her down or insult her . If he wants to be a mentor he needs to be a little more direct. For some people this kind of mentoring might work but she is a simple straightforward hardworking person

Just watching . I sometimes feel the ML is too cold . It is his money invested in her company- so if the FL loses then he does. He needs to draw a thick line with that Zheng Di. Her interference and snide remarks about the FL is getting out of control. Also the FL getting fired was almost illegal-anywhere else in the world she could have sued the company. She is around 30 in the drama - well she is mature in general but can’t read people - but there are people like that in the real world and that does not depend on age. I have seen older people be like her
