The point is she did throw herself at him - but she does not understand his condition and is expecting everything to be like in a normal relationship. One has to be educated about these kinds of conditions. It is not easy to deal with something like this long term. His condition will get better but these things don’t go away completely - they will come back when there are triggers. They maybe right from their own perspectives but if they want to stay together then she needs to learn his perspective too- the reason I emphasize her is because she is emotionally in a much better place than him. And even with his condition I think he is doing a better job by thinking about her side. No one is expecting a lovey dovey romance. Even if it’s about healing. If certain things are not right - they are not right . It’s ok though if you do not agree. To each unto their own

True there is no room for something like this to happen in the US. That boss woman will be done for life. Unfortunately it is not the same in other places

I actually like her boss. I think she genuinely cares about the FL’s progress. And I actually see character growth in the SFL as of ep 16.

Yeah I know you were talking about the boss. I feel like a lot of people around him treat him like crap and don’t give a damn. These are considered to be normal people but I guess the empathy is missing

I have been thinking the same - if she wants a normal emotional relationship then she should just date the SML because she will not get that from the ML - never. The therapist is a little too nonchalant about the whole thing. The SFL should not be butting in their relationship at all. She needs to go fix her stuff first

Actually for someone who is emotionally blind, he understands the situation much better than the FL. He knows full well that he can become a burden to her while she is behaving like an immature child and having too many expectations of him. She never once puts herself in his shoes or thinks from his perspective or tries to understand him😡. I am so frustrated at the end of ep 15

You are right. I am watching the whole birthday party fiasco. Why would you plan something like that and that too after listening to the SFL? She clearly does not understand anything about his condition and that he may have certain triggers because of his trauma. If she wants to help him she needs to start by understanding his illness fully.. all she does is apply some useless bandaid. He needs a medical professional to help him and she should be working with that medical professional. This one sided thing is just going way out of hand.

Agree and so true. In a long term relationship she will have to do a lot of heavy lifting and it can be very taxing taxing both emotionally and physically

Not sure if we are watching the same show- this one is excellent and so was Till the End of the Moon. They are both quite deep as far as the story is concerned .

Yes - watching ep 15- that boss acts as though she owns him. And this guy he does not feel anything and cannot understand what is going on. The way she talks to Gu Yi at the beginning of 15 was just disgusting and ridiculous. This will definitely cause problems between the leads. She did not have the right to say any of that stuff. I wish the FL were a little more strong and spunky. She has confidence and self esteem issues too and feels she is not good enough - and that comes across. Shen Yue has played the role beautifully

Well with his disorder/ illness romance and caring is never going to be easy. It will all be small shifts. We can’t expect him to be normal. He may improve emotionally and socially a little bit but there is no cure. Yeah viewers expecting a quick fix should go read up about alexithymia to understand it. GuYi will still have to do the heavy lifting even later in the relationship and yes it’s evident that she has some issues as well- her drinking and her attachment to a person like Dianwen and wanting to cure him shows that. It’s complex for sure and that is what is great about it

Yeah her drunken blackouts are in excess. She is an alcoholic. They try to make it look cute and endearing but having an alcohol problem is none of that. In fact they need to stop showing excess drinking on these shows. There is nothing good about alcohol - it just kills your health period!
