The way I see it a the ML and FL are enemies in the beginning. Also this drama is going to be about politics and war and about how she is caught in the middle. If people are looking for gentle men who care about women and romance - I don’t think this is it. Both MLs are pretty cut throat people with their own agendas
They e enemies - it’s plain and simple - no courtesy owed there. He is the assassin and she knows that truth. Of course he is going to threaten her and try. To kill her. It’s not like they are friends . Plus she is fighting back.and she is not weak — I disagree with that
That’s all good . I would not call the ML abusive. They are enemies and she knows his identity and she foiled his plans . I think Paei Yan’s character is worse as you will see. So far so good- we will see how it ends-still a long way

ML is already experiencing character growth and FL is warming up to him. Pei Yan is using th FL big time and holding her captive. He is so manipulative . This will get more and more interesting
Great drama ! Thoroughly enjoying this one. For once the FL’s character is interesting. Both MLs are gray and ruthless characters it’s just that Pei Yan has more sugary words and is way more manipulative. Between the 2 though I would say that she should trust Wei Zhao more because with him it is kind of what you see is what you get .And I don’t like how Pei Yan has held her captive like that. So yes he is the more dangerous guy
