ML is wonderful- such a great actor! Could not stand the FL though. So I dropped this drama.

Loved your review. Yes Zhu Yun is the bravest, smartest go getter. She knew what she wanted and what he meant to her and went after it . They both needed that second chance she gave that relationship given that they brought out the best in each other . The bond that they shared was really unbreakable . One of my all time favorite modern dramas. Nothing else is like it

The thing is it’s so obvious . How did she develop autopsy and accute observation skills and forensic ability overnight . All of a sudden she is ok with being around dead bodies from being a fussy arrogant spoilt woman. And to top it she hangs out with YCW ‘s friend. Honestly you don’t even need top notch deduction skills to even figure it out 😂🤣

Exactly- I am glad you said it. They should have kept her throughout the drama because she played her character well and yes the intelligence showed. Also she has better chemistry with LXY than Ju Jinyi. Honestly the story went downhill after she left

It was going well in the beginning but now it is just dragging a little bit. I feel like the ML is getting a little bored at this point. He is a good actor and they could have done much more with him. BTW I may be in the minority - don’t like the FL in this one. They could have picked a better actress

I disagree with you on that . All relationships go through ups and downs no matter how great the people in it are. According to your logic there should be a perfect world with no breakups or divorces. But that is not that case and that is because we are all dynamic and change with circumstances and incidents in our life. We all keep changing and evolving. So even with this couple just because it happened once you cannot assume that it will happen again. For the long haul in a relationship one should be ready for a lot of things but that does not mean that you should always look into the future with a negative mindset

Yeah that whole ‘toxic’ labeling. Just beats me. People just see what they want to but don’t analyze. That is the issue. If anything he cared a lot about his people. Li Xun is a very realistic portrayal of a person who has been through a lot and is very resilient in spite of everything. A very inspirational character really.

lol- absolutely! Yes the warmth and love he has for his mom and sister says a lot. Yes he was just a teen from a poor family with no dad and he was still trying to excel . Nothing dragged him down! While the others all behaved like entitled people who wanted everything handed to them on a platter with no hard work nothing. That was the beauty of this drama .

Thanks yes - rewatches are important and each time I see something more. You are right about people focusing only on one dimension/manifestation of a character- people hardly ever take the time to get deeper into it and try to analyze action/reaction or cause and effect. There is a simple dialog in this drama that Li Xun says in the beginning - about how things look initially and how they evolve later and they use it again and again in the drama. That dialog has som much meaning to it not just with the story but also with life. The depth is just amazing!
