Shi Yan would never have gone further if he was not clear about her interest. He was hesitant but finally took the step only to be disappointed and miserable in the end solely because of her confused behavior. He tried to overlook a lot of things. In spite of that this is how it ended

He gave her the opportunity to explain and she ran away. So he has to do everything according to her terms? He was angry at her after he got all facts from the driver why? Because someone ran away. So why would he not be angry and he did not meet her at the aquarium- so what he was fed up with her ‘acting’ which is fair. She has never been straightforward with him about anything throughout their relationship so far. She may be mesmerized by his looks but she refuses to admit that he is her boyfriend ? Does she want an open relationship then so other men can pursue. You will never understand some of these nuances if you have not been in a relationship. There is a certain emotional intelligence needed and she does not have that . She used him selfishly for her career and treated him like crap. Put yourself in his shoes- would you like it if your significant other treated you like this?
