Yes the intern is the real niece and she is not with her ex BF. The woman with the Ex BF is actually the ML’s driver’s niece. She obviously lied to the ex-BF. But the FL does not know that because she does not know the intern is Shi Yan’s niece- not till ep 26/27 atleast

You are right some of us were frustrated that the FL was being a little bit of an idiot when it came to the ML- it’s only because we were so invested in the story. I thought the leads were well matched and it was a delight to watch them. I have become a huge fan of Dylan Wang and I have been a big fan of Bai Lu For sometime now - she is a fantastic actress

The misunderstanding started because of a damned car and the mistress has the same last name as the real niece

There was no toxicity in this relationship. They were just playing a game of flirting with each other while he was trying to find out what she was up to.

But none of these have a FL lead like the one in Love is Sweet or this one. Both those FL are clueless women LOL and that is what made it interesting

Any other woman would have lodged a complaint or gotten a restraining order against a guy like Yi Yang but out FL was totally clueless

I am rewatching and I really do like her character for the most part - she never takes shortcuts in her career- works very hard and is very upright. Actually there are a lot of very good career people whose personal lives are a mess. But she finally came to understand what was important and what she needed to do in her relationship with Shi Yan- that was real progress. That is the step she had to take and everything will be fine
