You have to understand that this is not your run of the mill romance - it’s quite intense and they’re not just sweetness - there is also hurt and breakup. So don’t expect something unrealistic and cheerful

Teenagers should not watch this show. It’s for a more mature audience for sure

Male does acknowledge in the end that she has suffered a lot because of him. So hopefully he will improve - he definitely was changing for the better

The only person you can compare to and challenge is yourself and how you can get better - you should never focus on others and their life or their intelligence. That was GAO’s fault he always wanted LX to acknowledge him but he never did anything great to show that he deserved it. Even when he wanted go abroad he had to rely on that one competition that he won because of LX. Why would you have your entire future tied up to another person?

My Lethal Man is a good one

Female’s character was great from the beginning- she kind of complements him in what he lacks and also is a nice foil to his antisocial character . You also remember they were only 18 in the college parts . Still kids or rather not yet fully an adult. In her case she was brought up by overbearing parents and has never had the opportunity to be herself and think and act for herself.

Not sure if focusing on programming jargon is the right approach for this drama

Forever Love is too simple compared to this .

This drama is not about childish chemistry or just a romance - the characters are quite complex and the story is too- so if you are expecting a simple story please don’t watch

Gap’s grievances were never LX’s fault - stop blaming LX for GAO’s situation . No one is responsible for taking care of your future career- Gao thought it was LX’s responsibility for some reason. Gao approached LX again and again and LX trusted a poisonous snake like him- that was his only fault

Nothing can justify what Gao did to Li Xun. People like Gao who blame someone else for their failures and mistakes are up to no good. Li Xun had his flaws but also had his principles. He took responsibility for himself and his actions. So yes I would prefer Li Xun who is actually harmless when compared to Gao- who really is a snake

I cant move on - non of the other shows measure up to this one.

Well you have to be a human and have bottom lines and boundaries and ZY did not want LX to be consumed by that hate and just stop doing the things that mattered. I think it was a good ending they still got what they wanted

I am not sure you can generalize and compare to other cliched dramas. This one was quite unique and pretty deep. It hits you real hard. So I disagree with your comments

Meet yourself was the most boring show I ever watched - very bland

Definitely this story is not for you- this is not. a quick and easy romance - much deeper than that

I like the fact that they created a realistic flawed/ damaged male rather than a perfect one (one of those who is agreeable to everything and treat the women as though they are so fragile-hate those the most).
