I don't want to be worried but... It really doesn't look good. Will this be cancelled at some point ? I hope it doesn't but even then, it clearly impacted the success of this drama - I mean it will make less money as their broadcasting contract get cancelled left & right.

I'm at episode 11. Ngl, I don't understand Suyeon as a character. She did a 3D chess scheme to fake date a guy she knew liked his previous fake boyfriend. She always has this smiling face when she delivered her line that creeped me out. I did know it wouldn't be possible but in the back on my mind I almost anticipated the moment she would switch to a full sociopath mode and kill someone.

Well anyway, she get busted and leave - still smiling - like she didn't do the weirdest thing a human being can do and everyone is... fine with it ?

And speaking of weird acting face, Kim Hyeon Seo look stone most of the time - especially his eyes.

They are all rookies so it was expected so on that note, I would say the "brother" was particularly good - I already spotted him in "Wrong Number". The other were decent but nothing special.

5 episodes and they barely have any scene together. You have the backstory of Gao Tu and his unrequited love but Shen Wen Lang had nothing except "I hate Omega" & being a Bossy CEO.

Don't get me wrong I like them - well, we barely seen them to hate anything tbh - but they don't even qualify as a "pairing" yet imo.

To each their own but... why ? Currently, the second couple didn't give anything yet except Shen Wen Lang that kept saying that Gao Tu stink over and over.

They don't literally break up. But they have those moment thing get really icy. I'm in episode 14 and they already had 3 moments like those. When ML meet FL's family triggering is insecurity. When ML got scare FL will leave for the Big City. And now when ML lied when they investigated FL's mom suicide.

It's mostly because ML is deeply insecure and keep pushing everyone away at those moment. But they are resolved relatively quickly (1 episode. 2 max).

It's not exclusive to the ML. They keep doing those close up on the leads faces (not only eyes). I personally don't mind them, some are even beautiful I would say but it's true they made a lot of them - at least it really match the English title (not sure if it's a direct translation of the Chinese title).

Well, I did find them fiery from the get go. But they have a pattern to be either -100 °C or 100 °C. They do not have in-between. Like I'm at episode 14 and I've seen already 3 "break up" (they don't literally breaking up but it's so icy that it trigger my Cold War PTSD. :P ) but it resolve as quickly (1 or 2 episodes) and they become lovey-dovey again (+ some spice in later episode).

I loved "The Legend of Shen Li" so I hope the FL in this have a similar vibe. I really like strong & badass FL like in "One The Woman" or "The Judge from Hell" for example. This one seems to fit the bill so I'm eager to watch this. ^_^

I don't know your school but in mine, we wouldn't peck a each other if we were just friends. Saying "it's common in school days" is heavily impacted by your environment. Not sure that your experience can apply here.

That being said, yes, WS "tested" his relationship and get burned himself like many girls that do the same thing to their BF for whatever insecurity they have. After that, CC isn't really that smart either. Currently, WSW have the same issue WS had with CC. But CC still stay silent and doesn't communicate ((I'm not saying WSW is better with this). And it's probably why they will implode or almost.

Also, I really don't like that he kept secret that his mom is dying. You NEVER hide stuff this serious even if you are begged to not tell anything. If anything, for me it would be the real reason they should break up but seeing how the plot is going, it's probably how they will made up. Mom dying -> WSW is a mess -> CC to the rescue -> HE. Something along the line. :P

I found this on a BL dramas news website. No source or official statement so take that with a heavy grain of salt but I guess they were pressured to do so. Hope it will stop there but... I worried it maybe just be the first step of a total cancellation as we have seen happen before.

Love everything except Thiwthit. He is such a cartoon villain. Especially the evil laugh & the smirk. It could be good in a parody but this drama have a serious vibe that he kill every time he have a line. :x

Probably a Stockholm Syndrome love story. :P

I see the Romance tag in it and a FL apparently but as far as I understood this story, the focus is mainly on the ML & his journey. So, is the romance a sub-sub-plot because why the hell not or the romance is essential and FL share equally the "spotlight" with ML like many others C-Drama ?

I do think it's the former just based on what I heard and the trailer I watched but I want to be sure. :o

Entertaining. Clearly not my favorite as they focused too much on toxic characters. The relationship between all the couple where sweet - my favorite was Monkey & Aunty.

But like I said previously, the fact that all the problem that the main lead had could be resumed to one line: Girls that liked ML tried to sabotage their love life. First the Roommate then the Psycho. And they were pretty chill about this fact afterward. They really wanted to make the leads look as "perfect" : They can't be vengeful or petty but seriously, they deserved at least a slap.

The worst was her last reveal (don't read to avoid spoiler):

"Oh btw, I was responsible for almost drowning you and killing your best friend. Now, I'm feeling so much better that I said the truth! Well, I decided to go abroad. Bye, xoxo!"

And how the leads reacted ? "The past is the past, no need to point finger now!". While it is noble... I can't see any human being react this way. It's really a C-Drama thing to have leads that are literally "Gods on Earth": Beautiful, Smart, Overly Nice & have an insane amount of "skills". Like the FL that do really advanced Math as a "hobby" but she is also first in her psychology major apparently. She is talented at swimming but learn Climbing like it was nothing. They are more than Genius at this point, like I said they are Gods.

And poor Shi. I hope he find someone that love him back this time. But I really didn't like how he was written: His whole character was so paper thin: Loyal + "I love Entong". It was really shallow.

Anyway, it's just my rant but don't get me wrong, I would still say this a good & lovely drama overall.

I can only judge on what we have seen so far as I didn't read the OG work but I think they choose the right material. A lot of Omegaverse stories have part that I struggle to see the appeal: Rape/Forced Sex/Sex under influence (Rut/Heat) between main leads.
