Well I really couldn't finish it. It was slow at first but it became even more slow. I love slow burn but here it's the same problem they bring over and over again! Their relationship went nowhere. ML keep chasing FL but she kept pushing him back. I understand her reason BUT when the same scenes happen X times it become really boring.
Not a huge fan of Xianxia especially when fights have subpar CGI.
It was really good. I really liked the FL, a little less the ML but he was fine. The revenge plot was really well…
They are really flirty all along the drama but nothing that made me really into their couple. They could be best friend and it wouldn't change that much their dynamic. We do get the final kiss in the final episode (I think they did have another one previously but they didn't show us as the camera fade away before it happen) & their mariage scene was really small.
All I'm saying is you should try this drama even if you only want the romance as the plot is that good BUT if you are bored by it, you can just drop it as I don't think the romance will be enough.
Just one thing that bothered me (don't read it if you don't want a minor spoiler of the end);
What was the big deal with the fish talisman & the "Whongu" (probably misspelled) army ? Yeah, I get it it's a symbole for the one who control that army but come on guys... It was REALLY pushy for us to believe that they would listen to the rebel army just because a obvious bad guy hold the talisman. And after all that, FL shoot two freaking arrow (so they could react), bad guy drop the talisman, ML take it and now they follow his order like nothing happen two second ago ?
It would have been way better that they turn their brains on when FL listed their dead camarades that died from the previous plot. Anyway, it's really a minor plot hole for me but it was so... weird.
It was really good. I really liked the FL, a little less the ML but he was fine. The revenge plot was really well written. For the romance plot, they had some touching scene but for the one who only want a romance I don't think I can recommend this one because overall, it's kind of lacklustre. More in spoiler.
Well it really wasn't for me, I dropped at episode 36 because I couldn't take it anymore:
-Misunderstanding after misunderstanding. It isn't my favorite plot line to begin with but this one is FILLED with them. And most are badly written just because they want the plot to take this direction.
-One character will spit blood in almost every episode. They always have internal bleeding whatever injuries they get. Trauma, blade wound, poison, sickness, exhausted -> The same exact spitting of blood.
-They also overused CGI. Sometime it was good but sometime it was really bad, especially in fighting scenes that made them akin to a kid show.
can you spoil it for me i couldnt watch the last 2 eps everyone said its bad
It isn't that bad but it's just follow the typical ending from every romcom ever made before. They break up for a really weak reason (ML made a promise to always hold her hand but it was too "heavy" for her as all of his life ML made promise that kind of "ruined his life"). And after a time skip, they reunited in the last minute, made up & she finally said she loved him for the first time and... The end.
Oh... It's really a romance drama. I hope it will not be too sugar-coated because he will not match the vibe at all. And I hope they will not butcher Kang Bitna character for the romance. If anything, Han Daon becoming more merciless and joining the demon gang would be a nice change (even if my hope are really low for that to happen).
Well... It's a K-Drama so, it's likely to be a happy ending but it's still a bittersweet story. I could also say that a Sad Ending isn't totally excluded if they wanted to have a J-Drama vibe. They are really good at it.
I just want to reassure everyone: I am quite confident that Season 2 will come out (and maybe even sooner than…
That not really the case. Sure thing, it's obvious they wanted to make a season 2 but all of that will only happen if this one is successful & reach their goal financially speaking. It was the same with "Stay with me" and many others series. I'm not saying it will have the same fates as I really don't know what are the number they wanted to achieve BUT with the "Chinese Boycott" it appear a bit gloomy to me.
While I want to hope they will continue this story but for my own sanity, I do not expect anything.
I liked it but it wasn't amazing either. Especially the ending. It feel like they wanted to have room to make a season 2 of this and left a lot of thing unresolved but it make this final very lacklustre. And to be honest, I don't think this show have enough to have another season. For the fan, I hope I'm wrong. But personally, I would have much preferred a proper ending because it really left a bad aftertaste.
But I'm afraid that sense of betrayal and getting angry will pass on over to when she finds out about the relationship…
I don't think it will be that angle. She said that she regret not knowing how was her mother when she left her after her father death. ML was with her mother in that time frame. So it will probably be used to bring her what she missed and have some emotional moment with her mom. The betrayal will be when he will leave to protect her from CEO's mother.
Hmm... After two episodes I still don't know if I like it or not. A lot of small thing bother me in this:
-I really don't like the two "maids" (?) in Noh's house. The acting is over-the-top & really cringe. I guess it's supposed to be funny... But yeah, I will skip all their scenes from now on. -Too many characters. I hope a large majority of them with just be here as background and wouldn't have any stories to develop. -A lot of "pause" between lines -for dramatic purpose I would guess- but it's almost systematic making the whole thing more draggy that it should had been.
It was good. But also really weird. It's a romance but to be honest, it isn't really its strong point. It's also a Sci-fi but in the end, it isn't really a Sci-fi. The storytelling was interesting but also really confusing. The ending was touching but unsatisfying in certain aspect. I really don't know exactly how I feel about this show but I can certainly say I will remember it as it was quite unique in various ways. :o
"The little turtle is here already? Their PARENTS just left a moment ago" The way I cringed, I'm going to need…
Well, I own a dog and the veterinary clinic I go call me his parent. Even if myself I don't see her as my child it didn't really bother me when they called me that. ^^'
Dude. If it was really the case, we couldn't talk about anything. Like saying "Romance", "BL" or even "Ex-boyfriend". I didn't add any context to any of those. Some peoples are sensible to such subject like myself and I would have been happy to know it beforehand. So stop pestering peoples with pointless remark. You can block me if it really trigger you for some unknown reason. But be sure if you keep with your "crusade", I will definitely doing that.
I didn't really get episode 30. Did I miss something ? More in spoiler.
They added so much drama in the final episode. Like they will be appart because of her job, the best friend losing all he wanted to achieve, the second couple struggling with their daily life and then we got their graduation ceremony. And... The End. :x
I'm not against an open ending but it was really clumsy to add all those thing in the final episode. It really leaved a bad taste in my mouth.

If you want the next part, go watch it even if they are the second couple of this drama.
