Well, the first two episodes were better than I expected. While reading the comment I was afraid that it was a bit... "trashy" ? No judgment here but a lot of comments were more about the NC scenes than the plot. :P
I kind of understand why now: They showed a lot more than usual. I'm kind of immune from that because western media are way more wilder but yeah, coming from Asia seeing butt, talking about "cleaning", fellatio and heavy french kiss is quite uncommon. Even if some Japan movies are really mess up in that regard (Looking at you "Dangerous Drugs of Sex" >_<).
Anyway, the plot itself isn't quite fully developed yet but so far it's quite interesting but more than anything I liked the acting from the main leads. Also, it seems that they invested quite a lot here as the production is really neet.
If I would want to nitpick, I'm a bit annoyed with: Darker skin color -> Poor, Lighter skin color -> Rich. Even if here it does make sense outside of their wealth (Mut living as a Diving monitor in a tropical island) this pattern is a bit too much represented in Thai Drama. But again, I'm just nitpicking here.
is it worth watching?? I've seen so many negative and positive reviews ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
It really depend on you. The overall quality isn't that good. The acting, writing & editing are on the cheap side BUT it's still interesting & somewhat funny. You really need to turn your brain off and enjoy it for what it is: A light comedy BL that don't take anything seriously.
Still really good. SML really did dirty but at least we will not get SML syndrome. I'm also a bit confused about…
So... He is coming from a "poor" family and get dumped because of it. It obviously hurt his pride. Now, he is successful and don't want to cross the line with "poor" peoples. After ML kissed FL, he chase after her because again, someone attacked his pride. I don't think he likes her... Well, before the event in his studio at least but that could be different now.
BUT... What with the BL novel thing ? I don't want to be close minded but... It's really odd for a straight man to do such thing + All the studio scene was here to make the thing very confusing:
-The brother saying that he learn every way to make women love him. It can interpreted both way: He want to be seen as a womanizer to take revenge on her ex OR hide that he is attracted to men.
-Him saying that this circle cannot accept people like him: Again is he speaking of his family background that could blow up if he don't follow his family blackmail OR him making such novel OR his sexuality ?
-The scene before the studio where the ML trap him against a wall and say "Do you like me?". He was flustered. I do think that it could be a reaction of a straight man or a closeted gay man so it doesn't prove anything BUT with the studio scene, we could argue that this bathroom scene wasn't just for "fan service" like I assumed at first.
I probably overthink the whole thing because it isn't really important and will probably be clarified in the next episode BUT it's still on my mind. :P
I skipped many scenes so probably missed many important clues. How did Mi Jin / FL take the identity of Im Sun?
Not truly explained yet but: In the police station, they said they could identify her with her fingerprint. After that, we saw the cat near a missing flyer stating that Lim Sun was a missing person. Probably the missing owner of the cat ? His ears drop for a moment when he watched the flyer. So, maybe he gave the appearance of his owner to Mi Jin. So even if it wasn't shown maybe she go back to a police station to have her ID ?
I was more surprised that he didn't change his outfit. Like it's obviously kinky but everyone seem to be fine…
I wouldn't leave in that outfits no matter what. Changing your pant and drop this headband would take literally 30s. But even then, walking in and seeing an obvious diner table with romantic vibe would be the breaking point. Too much forced here and really out of character just to create drama. I think it would have been better if it was more subtle here.
A bit messy this week but for me the more annoying thing was Dee in the Tiger outfits.
First of all, Dr Ter that ask him to come in his apartment for working the presentation. I don't know everyone else but I would assume that the person is "busy" and back off immediately from embarrassment.
Second, why didn't Dee change outfits before leaving ? Oo And then, he is having diner with his "coworker" with an OBVIOUS romantic setting (candle, western food). I didn't understand why he was fine with it, it was really out of character this time.
The drama was to much forced here and made all the scenes really awkward.
Dee you are so stupid!!! How can you follow Dr. Douche's to his apartment in room 666, the devil's room, and not…
I was more surprised that he didn't change his outfit. Like it's obviously kinky but everyone seem to be fine with it ? Except the dude that literally scream "WTF ?" with his side eyes when he was chasing Yak in the hallway. x)
Happy Ending ...There must be happy endings. It looks dark, mystical and awesome.
You will be surprised! Most of the time, fictions named as such are Open or Sad Endings. And here his meaning is that the protagonist want his favorite novel to have such ending... while the genre is Horror (on the psychological side). I wouldn't hold my breath. :P
By the time I watched this (late May), the free You Tube video (all four episodes in one) was clearly labeled…
I watched when it was airing. It was just really poorly marketed. The releases were a bit random without clear schedule & Part 1 wasn't a thing even after the full release of the 4 episodes. A simple "teaser" at the end of episode 4 would have made wonder. So yeah, a lot of the backslash come from there.
Tbh, I don't know why they made two separate part for such a small project especially without being clear about it. It was really amateurish and I'm saying that as a fan of this studio. A mistake was clearly made here and it sadden me. :/
Like others, the plot seem really good & unique with the mix between reality & fiction. It was also very catchy especially those scenes with Damon dancing with his daggers. I'm a bit dumbfounded to say the least.
So yeah, it seem really promising but also very ambitious for a first time as a producer. He is truly talented so I hope it will work out but I'm a bit afraid ? Anyway, best of luck!
Didn't expect the musical at the end. Really liked the duet. I saw a lot of comment saying Atom shouldn't be in love with Kongthap so soon. But I does make sense.
First of all, he isn't deeply in love, it's a typical high school crush. Second, he only needed a smile & some cupcake to fall for the girl. So yeah, he is really that simple. And third, Kongthap didn't just smile but offered him support, understanding & kindness even if it was a misunderstanding of his part, he was really genuine.
I don't really get the hate train here. I'm far from saying that this is "the BL of the year & a masterpiece that will transcend universe". The original manga while being really lovely wasn't that either. It was never deep or a slap stick comedy. Even more with the Japanese Drama. It was just a lovely high school BL with some funny moment.
So people saying that we judge this one with pink or fan glasses should also ask themself if they don't wear nostalgia glasses. Myself, I loved the original Manga & his J-Drama adaptation. But I also like that Thai twist. I like they didn't follow exactly what was done previously. If it was the case I wouldn't bother watching a lazy carbon copy of previous works.
Similar to the recent "Living with Him" (& many J-Drama), the main couple will only start their relationship only in the last episode. Worst, they just keep assuming (wrongly because it wouldn't be fun, right ?) that it's a one sided love because of misunderstanding & miscommunication at episode 9.
Tbh, I expected a more fluffy story but looking back this drama is kind of empty ? It's not particularly funny or fluffy but it isn't a tragedy either full of angst and hardship. It also doesn't have a strong story plot line or interesting side plot so, it's kind of slow as the plot is limited to their romance that isn't romancing and filming the Drama that is the mirror of their romance not romancing. Only the two MC are flesh out while the others are just background to make them shine or advance the story between the two of them. I really struggle to find the strong point of this drama. Maybe 10 episodes is too long for that kind of plot.
So yeah, I wouldn't say it's bad but I will forget it as soon it will end. I just hope they will at least give me more than 10min in the last episode of them being happy. But I don't know why, I predict they will just confess in the last few minutes, kiss & smile at each others and... That it, it's the end. :/
They love the idea of fated partner. The one and only. It's why a lot of their MC are "virgin" (even kissing)…
This drama have low rating only because they dared to switch the "ML" between the two seasons. Meaning that it's actually the SML that got the FL if you watch it from the perspective of season 1.
Personally, I loved it. I also liked how they did it because at first the ML from season 1 is really like every ML, he is the fated one (love at first sight, passionate & strong, fairy tale love story) even in season 2 BUT the steady & caring love from SML won over FL because she was more receptive to that kind of love. So they leaved the fantasy behind and took a more "realistic" romance as the end goal.
To say the least, MANY didn't like it at all. Even worst, they paired the ML from season 1 with another girl near the end of season 2.

Love Alarm. I don't want to spoil if you didn't watch it but it caused a huge backslash with how they handled her love interests. Spoiler below if you don't care/already watch it.
Seems like from the synopsis and the setup that she is going to misunderstand the prosecutor as her childhood…
They love the idea of fated partner. The one and only. It's why a lot of their MC are "virgin" (even kissing) even at 30+ y old. Meeting at young age and still having this crush over it even decade after (and ignoring all others love interest because of that) it's the epitome at what they view as romantic.
Personally, I do think it's a total fantasy and even kind of toxic if you delve deeper. But in a fiction ? I kind of like it as a guilty pleasure.
