I'm not as hype as others. What worry me the most is the writing. Time travel story really need a good writing skill to feel good to watch (at least for me). And from episode 1, I don't see that. All their moments were so forced and unnatural. Like, are they already out of idea to make two "Sickness-Bounding" scenes (+ the "Sexy Jazz Song" was a bit cringey tbh) ? I think the whole idea to add everything (encounter + warming up to each other until they kinda fall in love) in one episode really hindered them.
Anyway, I'm probably ranting too much so I will just add, it wasn't all bad either. I'm not trying to scare people to not watch this. ^^ But yes, I'm a bit disappointed, that all.
Yes , thats what I was also thinking that he almost goes home late and spend atleast 10-12 hours in office . He…
Don't know about if the role were reversed (but yeah, she would probably leave the office), but they wanted to portray the caring side of ML. Green Forest is a women's walking fantasy and I'm not here saying he is everyone fantasy but it's popular nowadays as Red Flags was popular 10y ago. A lot of Jerk ML in the past.
But all I'm saying, again, it's a fiction. Don't take it too seriously, it's just made for entertainment. I've seen comment straight up saying now that it's work harassment or even sexual assault. While IRL, it would be quite unproper, I also see consent between ML & FL. So, I see this even less of a issue in a Drama where everything is already non-realistic to begin with.
I am seeing the theory that says "maybe Jiyun's father died in a fire while saving Eunho" everywhere. Can anyone…
Drama logic. FL Father died in a fire & ML was in in a fire when he was young. The Event & Date match. And because it involve both FL & ML, nothing is a "coincidence" so it's most likely linked in some way. They love adding trauma or bad blood between lead to create way for them to not be able to be together so the obvious theory is that FL Father saved ML and died doing so. And if I would take a wild guess, it will be most likely the reason behind the cursed Break-Up/Time skip of the last episode. I hate it and I don't think I'm the only one but they always do that for some reason.
Yes , thats what I was also thinking that he almost goes home late and spend atleast 10-12 hours in office . He…
Oh come on. It's an office drama, of course they will be romance in the office. And yeah, the CEO will fall for the underling. Like any ML CEO before. But now that it's a FL CEO it's so "unprofessional". Don't get me wrong, IRL I do think it's a bad idea but it's just a fiction where thing will unfold beautifully (most likely) and was never aimed at being "realistic" to begin with. Don't bring IRL expectation in a work of fiction, you will just harm yourself.
For the ML working overtime because of his new job: his daughter isn't left alone, the other mom take care of her. And we see only the time when he works in the show because for now, everything revolve around ML & FL and not their life outside of it. It isn't a day by day reality show when we see everything especially his time off when he is with his daughter.
I'm pretty sure we will see more of it later when FL will enter ML private life and bound with the daughter.
Why does the GF shy away from intimacy - if they are a couple living together? Is she seeing someone else? The…
Some peoples lose their sex drives after a while in a couple. Or aren't into it to begin with. But yeah, maybe she is cheating or doesn't love him anymore. We will see. ^^
is the ending good? I saw some people saying that they are disappointed because of ending. I am currently watching…
Not to the point of ruining the drama but yes, the first half of ep. 12 was poorly written and a bit WTF. Second half is way better except that they made a mistake in the English trad. If you don't care about the politics, you shouldn't even be aware of it.
I think anyone could have guessed the last minute break up as almost every Romance K-Drama does them. We are VERY…
It's how they made it that the issue. It's like saying every love story are good. Some are well written and some don't. Argan story bit was just badly made.
Some people are acting like this drama wasn't a ridiculous soap opera to begin with.... Curious how the Korean…
I think anyone could have guessed the last minute break up as almost every Romance K-Drama does them. We are VERY familiar with K-Drama ending BUT like come on... Make it at least believable! Interesting! And even better, made them actually add something when it's resolved! But no...:
-He felt guilt when he discovered his new found dad/ex-grampa (lol) was responsible of the car crash that hindered massively FL life. The guilt induced break up is quite overused and really not my fav to begin with. As I'm biased here, I will just let it slide.
-Now, FL discover that ML is hiding in a Warzone. Fine, you love him that much you try to search for him. She already try to kill herself with his nephew (again, lol) to protect him, I will not question her reasoning anymore but yeah, that's wasn't the smarter move for obvious reason.
-And of course, it's where the "rebel" are. And obviously, she get captured. AND FINALLY, Shinning Knight ML appear at the right moment. It's just... too much in so little time. They already did that quite a few time during this show but not at this pace and not so randomly like it was the perfect puzzle they need to put together. It was so forced and unnatural.
-And then, where was the guilt & issue ? It was resolved with a one minute talk while the "rebel" where still searching them. ALL of that for a one minute talk. They really didn't search that deep to resolve the issue and it added nothing in the end.
And it's so weird as even if it was a soap opera for 12 episode, the writing was quite smart but the Argan bit was... I really don't know how they did valid that even if it was in the original novel. Oo
You know you can dislike something without a "proper" reason behind it (just like some dislike chocolate as exemple).…
Sad it really doesn't work for you. Personally I had little expectation from this arc because of those sneak peak we got during the previous arc. But I like their story so far.
I said PerthSanta because their characters (Yotha & Gun) so far are practically a reboot of ArcArm and you said you loved them. Both Arm & Gun are very similar: Bubbly & Silly, a bit OTT like you said and quite cocky & straightforward. Arc & Yotha are also very similar. Both Grumpy & "Scary" (that what they said even if all I see is cute puppies), they tease their Love Interest and are somewhat mean to them but they are very protective of them.
They are practically almost carbon copy so far. But like I said, I'm not here to say why you should like them. Sometime you just dislike something and that's it. It doesn't help that you had others expectation if I understand correctly. It sure hinder enjoy the fun when you have them and they don't match.
Hmm... Sometime this show does the weirdest choice. Like in the latest (ep. 8) when they became steamy (or is it just Teerak daydreaming ?) and then Muenfah back-off because they want him to be the biggest green forest. BUT then where do Teerak set down his head ? Right on his crotch! Like, neither of them feel uncomfortable ? (it's why it make me doubt that the steamy scene actually did happen).
To be honest, the weird "pause" between their line when they have "romantic" moment + the exact same fake smile they both wear make the thing really unnatural sometime. But somehow I'm still hooked, so it does work but damn, it's just weird. :P
You know you can dislike something without a "proper" reason behind it (just like some dislike chocolate as exemple). It's just a matter of taste. And it seems to be really the case for PerthSanta as you seem really negatively biased against them.
Beautiful story who was a bit confusing in between (I had a hard time understanding what the heck happened to Dohoe after they separated). But the ending was just so satisfying that it made up for everything. :)
Dohee didn't knew about it cz Juyeong hid it from him knowing he will go fight with his dad .. ik his dad is abusing…
No, he knew. He even have a mental break down over it 12y later. He was just powerless as like his (ex) best-friend/bully said, even his father (a cops) can't do anything. ML fathers also beat others children and everyone know about it, it really isn't a secret. I don't know how it was in 2005 about corporal punishment, but maybe it was "accepted" at this time.
Like in the end, he did call the cops and what happened ? Sin Ju Yeong get blamed for "not respecting" his master, even his parent are not on his side.
Please can someone enlighten me with this drama ? I keep reading that the future FL is the love interest of past FL. It's just a joke right ? :P This drama do have a proper ML, right ? Or it isn't a romance drama after all ?
I think this is what's refreshing about this drama, usually that typical CEO role befalls MLs but for first time…
"Nice" 2FL you mean ? Because we got a shit ton of "Bitchy" & Obsessive 2FL chasing ML in K-Drama already. :P
Either way, I don't think she will just be locked in this role (chasing ML) as in the teaser of episode 3, they clearly hinted that the lazy dude that work with FL will chase her.
Well, I really liked the first two episode even if I found it a bit draggy at setting the plot in the beginning. Others than that I'm also (happily) surprised that no random haters are here to bash the FL for being quite overbearing with her future husband. Especially when he is the epitome of the "perfect nice guy". I almost anticipated a war zone here to be honest. :P
Woah, why it's so low here ? Oo I didn't expect a 9+ rating but damn, 6.5 is REALLY harsh.
I just finished it and I really liked it. Maybe it was too atypical for a lot of viewer ? It's not your common BL for sure. I would just add that the synopsis is a bit misleading with the whole "As he embarks on this journey, he encounters five boys along the way.". At first, I was a bit scared that it would involve a lot of cheating or something similar but their aren't love interest at all.
Anyway, their first project ("Bedmate or Bad Mate") was also so underrated here (6.9), so check it if you liked this one. It's a cute story about a gay man & a straight man becoming roommate.
Yeah, like many, the first half of ep. 12 was truly a WTF moment for me. A "break-up" with a time skip was predictable as almost all K-Drama does that but the reason was so shallow for going to that extreme. Everything in it is too forced and too over-the-top. Apparently it was in the original novel BUT damn, why did they kept it ? It left a sour taste...
The second half was better and actually give what we wanted from the get go: Their happy time after all their struggle. Anyway, still I great show that I will surely remember.
But why did they do that to us ? It was nearly perfect. :'(
Something very organic in their acting. There do exist movies and shows from China that have realism. However,…
I'm mostly blame this on the dubbing that China do in most of their Drama. Actors even dub their own scene. And sometime a completely different voice actor take over their line.
Anyway, I'm probably ranting too much so I will just add, it wasn't all bad either. I'm not trying to scare people to not watch this. ^^ But yes, I'm a bit disappointed, that all.
