That's cuz I've been reading other comments from people who have read the novel. There's a very detailed summary in the recent discussions. Their relationship and motivations but that doesn't mean I can't take that and apply it to the show since it's based on the same Source material.

I will try and explain as best I can

He is doing these because he wants Kuae to admit that he is hiding things from him. There have several instances where he has literally told Kuae that he knows. Like when he says that some rich kid rents the circuit every month, or when he says he knows everything that Kuae does behind his back, Kuae said you know? Lian was like Know what? On the first thing he thinks of is that it's a trap. The problem is Kuae is extremely insecure, because he is struggling to reconcile who he is as a person versus what his parents expect of him in terms of being part of an aristocratic family and the son of an ambassador. His interests don't really fit those expectations. He loves mechanics which is a dirty job, he has a passion for music and performing and of course racing his motorcycle. So he feels that his parents and Lian won't accept him or love him for who he is. Which is why when he first started singing he created the stage name Kirin. Now even though Lian was angry at Kuae for hiding things from him, what he said because he was angry was very cruel. I am not excusing that. He knows Kuae is stubborn and won't readily admit to things even when asked directly so he has do things in a round about way try and get him tell him voluntarily.

We know that Lian would accept him because he is buying shares in the Gemini since Kuae likes to perform there. He also sponsors the race track where Kuae likes to ride. He has never wanted Kuae to stop doing these things. It's only Kuae who is stepping away he feels like in order to be Lian's perfect partner and the face of the Karaati family he shouldn't like those things.

I personally am really enjoying the show and have had lots of discussions surrounding both Lian's and Kuae's behavior

I personally love it! I have rewatched all the episodes numerous times now. Zee as Lian is nailing it! Also love New as Kuae when he stands up to Lian makes me laugh.

Or even the movie Dangerous Drug of Sex which the mains still end up together even AFTER the one lead kidnapped, Imprisoned and sexually assaulted the other.

The thing is sometimes you say things out of anger that you don't necessarily mean. Not that I am excusing what he said, but he's very frustrated that Kuae isn't being his true self when he is with him instead he is trying to be what he thinks Lian wants. Also I think Lian is angry at himself for missing out on such a huge part of who Kuae is since when Kuae started his Kirin persona he was living in the UK. It is why he said he wanted a human not a doll, been pushing his buttons trying to get him to react to things and he just won't. Having that woman join them on their lunch date you could tell Lian wanted him to say something. Even when he was waiting for him to deal with the factory problem he even asked him if he was bored, he could have said yes. Instead he chose to hide. That is why he calls him Annabelle.

Lian Knows that if he just gave Kuae the drums he would never accept it because don't forget that Kuae is hiding his true self because he doesn't think Lian will Love him if he knows the parts of himself he keeps hidden. So Lian is trying to have him voluntarily bring those parts to lite by doing things in a round about way. When Lian told him that he knew all the things Kuae was doing behinds his back. Kuae said so you know? Lian said know what, his expression said he knew Kuae wasn't going to admit it that easily lol. Then Kuae immediately thought he is trying to trap me... because he believes that if he says that he enjoys those things they're just going to take it away from him. In his eyes his hobbies don't fit the image of not only in aristocratic family but the son of an ambassador.

Yes, if everyone the same stuff then It would just be boring 🙂

So In the UK was when Kuae started performing under the name Kirin. He did because as the son of an aristocratic family and whose dad is an ambassador he didn't think they would accept of love him if they found out. Also because he has a passion for automotive mechanics which is a dirty job. So he hides who he is from not only his family but also Lian. In the novel when they have their fight it's because Lian who has been a patron of the Gemini for several years was there when he was performing as Kirin and figured it out. Realizing that when they were separated while Kuae was in the UK he had actually missed a huge chunk of who Kuae was. Also frustrated that Kuae hadn't trusted him enough to tell him. He doesn't want Kuae to feel he has to hide who he is from him. So he said things out of anger that he didn't mean. I think he realized he has messed up when Kuae said he wanted to call of the engagement. Although he mostly knows Kuae's secrets now he wants him to open up and tell him on his own. They are kind mirrors of eachother because while Kuae thinks that Lian wants him to be all prim and proper, Lian sees his behavior and the way he dresses and thinks that's what Kuae wants of him. They both are not very good at community 😂 but if then again if they were we wouldn't have this show.

I personally am loving it. I have rewatched it twice now and have rewatched episode 5 several times. Can't wait for Saturday.

According to the novel Lian actually head over heels and love with Kuae. So the kiss on the cheek was genuine.

So I read it this summary from the novel which is posted in the recent discussions. Although I'm loving the show I don't think they do a very good job of explaining things which is unfortunate. So according the novel Lian was already interested in Kuae's music and would often check out his YouTube channel. He had ready been a patron of Gemini for at least 5 years. Jay had actually just hired Kuae and was gushing about his new singer to Lian. So Lian was actually at the Bar when Kirin came In to perform. He was surprised to see Kuae who he had just dropped off at home lol. It was then he realized that if Kuae had one secret he probably had my more. That is when he really started to investigate him. This is also what partly led to their fight because he was angry at himself for realizing that while Kuae was in the UK he had ended up missing such an important part of who Kuae is. So he said things out of Anger that he didn't mean. He obviously didn't realize how much hurt he would cause or that Kuae would say he wanted the engagement to end. That point he knew he'd messed up because if Kuae had wanted the engagement to end then that would mean big trouble for Lian. Apparently in the novel Kuae ends up keeping the Kirin identity for a lot longer in then in the show. It's kind of an interesting thing because in a way because Lian sees that Kuae dresses prim and proper. Actually dresses to match because he thinks that's what Kuae wants to see. When he relaxes he and Kuae tend have the same style. So I guess you could say they don't really know each other. By having him move in it means they will have a better chance to get to know each other. Does this help you?

I guess because he was limited in what he could fit in his suitcase that was the only way for him carry them.🤷🏻‍♀️

No he wants him to be himself and gradually come to trust him enough to let down his walls and tell him about his "secrets". There has been a couple times where he has almost admitted and caught himself. So for that Lian is willing to "help" him lol.

Behavior does matter because his dad's in an ambassador although it doesn't say that in the show.
