A commenter down below said apparently, on IQIYI’s scream night in November Alan Ren commented to look forward to this drama coming out. I don’t know if that was just a slip of the tongue or whether I should see that is an actual hope.

No, as far as I know, it didn’t even have a distribution license, but the female lead is also under investigation for tax evasion and fraud so I don’t think this drama or any of her other dramas will be out anytime soon.

So does that mean it’s been shelved then?

Hopefully this means they’ll get greenlight for a season two wishful thinking 😁

Same I think the frustrating part for me is that her and another actress had tax evasion against them and so I feel like a lot of the dramas that I was looking forward to hearing last year are out the window.

From what I understand I read an article saying that the person who accused her used their real name which makes it more serious and more likely to be true. Apparently in China you can be arrested for making a false accusation so the fact that the person use their real name or their real name to be released means that they must have some kind of evidence . Also the fact that her agency didn’t come out right away and refute the rumours and she’s been pretty quiet doesn’t bode. Well I feel..

Yes, but if you look at the date, it says 2023 /01/14 so IQIYI’s scream night happened a year ago and she wasn’t accused until the spring, so I don’t believe you can go off of what he’s saying.

I don’t think so. The female lead is still under investigation for tax evasion and fraud so until the investigation is completed and she has been cleared I don’t think they will be airing any of her dramas.

I’m not sure further seasons will be released of sword, no stride because somebody had mentioned a while ago that it’s a lot of volumes like when they mentioned how many volumes it was, I was surprised that they would attempt to do a drama series that has that many volumes to adapt. The mail lead will probably want to move onto other acting projects rather than stick with a series that’s going to take a lot of years to film and please don’t ask me how many volumes cause I can’t remember 😅

Can someone make a correction that guard and thunder are not the same actor? As Kim Woo Bin is not thunder he is guard. Thunder is actually voiced by someone else in his non-human form but I couldn’t find the actual actor who portrayed him. I’m very confused right now lol
