From what I understand I read an article saying that the person who accused her used their real name which makes it more serious and more likely to be true. Apparently in China you can be arrested for making a false accusation so the fact that the person use their real name or their real name to be released means that they must have some kind of evidence . Also the fact that her agency didn’t come out right away and refute the rumours and she’s been pretty quiet doesn’t bode. Well I feel..

Yes, but if you look at the date, it says 2023 /01/14 so IQIYI’s scream night happened a year ago and she wasn’t accused until the spring, so I don’t believe you can go off of what he’s saying.

I don’t think so. The female lead is still under investigation for tax evasion and fraud so until the investigation is completed and she has been cleared I don’t think they will be airing any of her dramas.

I’m not sure further seasons will be released of sword, no stride because somebody had mentioned a while ago that it’s a lot of volumes like when they mentioned how many volumes it was, I was surprised that they would attempt to do a drama series that has that many volumes to adapt. The mail lead will probably want to move onto other acting projects rather than stick with a series that’s going to take a lot of years to film and please don’t ask me how many volumes cause I can’t remember 😅

Can someone make a correction that guard and thunder are not the same actor? As Kim Woo Bin is not thunder he is guard. Thunder is actually voiced by someone else in his non-human form but I couldn’t find the actual actor who portrayed him. I’m very confused right now lol

Since I never actually saw the ending I have only read comments of what other people that have watched it. it’s one of those really broad endings I think where it can be interpreted either way, like the logical ending is that his dad is gone because he sacrificed himself to save Shang Gu. I think I remember reading a comment though where the dad‘s spirit reappeared in like the last five minutes so it could be interpreted that he came back? But again I never actually saw it, so I just read remember reading a random comment where it’s possible that he did come back because she could’ve seen him at the end or something.

The whole point of ancient love poetry was that Shan Gu’s spirit was basically reincarnated every 10,000 years or something in order to be sacrificed to keep the realms at peace against like a cataclysmic event. The reason why she was born is because the God who supposed to be sacrifice before her decided he didn’t want to be sacrificed and turned to the dark side lol, I think it’s one of the reasons why the three male gods tended to be kinda like really relaxed when it came to her behaviour and to actually teaching her about her powers, because they knew that it was pointless since she basically had to die anyway. So the whole premise around the show was the one male God, who, basically at the start was the one teaching her for much of her life or life decided that he didn’t want to actually sacrifice her so he decided to subvert or find a way for her to not be sacrificed. Except he didn’t tell anyone else that that’s what he was doing so they tried to stop him and the mail. xu Kai’s character realized too late that that’s what the other guy was doing and stepped up to continue the work that this other guy had started when he was killed. So I feel that him coming back the end would have erased him sacrificing himself in order to save her.

Does anyone know if this will have a happy ending? I never actually watched the ending of ALP because of the ending. I mean I’ve heard how it ended but I don’t consider a truly happy ending.

To be honest, I don’t think prisoner of beauty will be released because another drama of hers romance of the Demone Hunter was supposed to be released before prisoner of of beauty. so until her tax issue is resolved, none of her dramas will be airing.

Well, there must be some truth to it though, because apparently the former employee use the real name and can actually be charged themselves if they filed a fraudulent claim. Well I’m still hoping that it’s not true the fact that she came out and didn’t refute any of the rumours and say it wasn’t true and has been silent for so long. I think it’s suspicious.

It’s because the actress that plays the female lead is being investigated for tax evasion, so while she never actually came out and denied it, and there hasn’t been any recent news, even though it’s been a couple months, her silence is suspicious.

To be honest, I’ve stopped watching it, and I also loved Bulgasal lol

The thing is I had read a comment from somebody who read the novel who said they didn’t end up in this life together anyway. Because apparently, and then novel, she and the original soul of the male lead didn’t have any romantic feelings for each other at all. So once the soul of the spirit that had been haunting, her was released from his “curse” she was free to live her current life without being haunted. So I think it makes sense that they could’ve ended up together in another life because that follows more closely with the novel I think.
