In LLTG he was cute and adorable, but he looks very handsome here, I think it’s the styling, everyone looks so gorgeous.

I’m not into Xian xia, I mainly watch historical or Wuxia, but I’ll watch it for actors I like. Lol

I should reread but the second half was extremely dragging and boring to me.

I think they may follow some of it, especially his years in the abyss slave camp, I saw some of the clips.

It was Like You mentioned he was abandoned, because he didn’t have the blue vein which later shows up (don’t quote me on this because I read it a year ago) the empress found one long distant family member who’s child was born at the same time as JBZ who was Ming Yi, so she grew up as a boy. In the book I didn’t really remember if there was this much magic involved. So I don’t remember the veil she used to be a male like in the drama.

In the book they are related, he’s the real prince, but not sure if they are sticking with the story line since a lot has already changed from the book.

I hope so, but I hope the drama gets more serious. I like comedy, but I think the drama would be better with less comedy.

The second half felt like a different writer, didn’t flow with the first half.

I think their flirty banters made the book interesting, here’s a little excerpt from the book, I thought was funny , “I’m not,” Ming Yi’s eyes darted around. “This slave is… menstruating. It’s not convenient to serve my Lord.”

He made a sound of acknowledgment and calmly asked, “Does menstruation come from the mouth?”

Especially when she had a harem. Lol made absolutely no sense.

Second half of the book, the tournament when the novel went downhill because it kept dragging. After the intimacy parts were gone. I lost interest.

In the novel he has a thing for MY, but he’s very young (14 - 15 or around that age) and helps her out and sort of rivals with JBZ. Not sure how he will turn out in the drama since there has been lots of changes. I think someone posted some of the differences in the drama/novel.

They changed a lot in the book. Feels like an entire new book! So not sure how anything is going to be now but probably HE.

Same, I go to bed at 1 -2 in the morning when new episodes come out.

I don’t think I will be able to stay up to wait to watch the new episodes. Lol

I’m glad they made changes from the novel. IMP the first part of the book was engaging and enticing, then toward the second part, ending, it went downhill for me. I think the book spent too much time on the tournament.

Already heard good reviews, so I’m excited.

In the book he’s not, but I haven’t watched the drama yet. Will do it tonight. I heard they changed the script a lot from the novel so he could be.

I have no idea, that’s why I give up sometimes. Too much hassle.

I watch it with black box around it on my phone, but casting it to my TV, I can only watch an episode before the phone app gets flaky, then I have to reboot my phone several times to recast it again, I hope I’m explaining it better. Lol my phone is iPhone 16 and not that old, I must have gotten in 5 or 6 months ago, but it did that with my last phone too.
