And you jumped the gun. These are old souls. They’re going to be reborn repeatedly. I don’t find a problem with ML saving the FL as a child (as long as he didn’t save her romantically), it’s storytelling for why she is saving him right now.

Behind the times I guess, but creepy? I don’t find it so. If they’re not dying/reincarnated at the same time it is actually realistic writing and not “unnecessary” that there is an age gap at some point.
