Jajajaja!!! Pixie dust! Laughed waaaay harder than I should have! Exactly, cause we know this is taking place 10yrs in the past...so I'm not sure if it's supposed to be in our current day or a little before. Cause no one really sports phones, but some stuff is a little too modern. Still you're right, the pregnancy is our only timeline.
Everything thing you said is on point! You're right, Nuan has been the only non-manipulator so far, but he's also…
Yeah I get that from his character, especially when he attempted to imitate Will. So far he seems to be as good as Joey in just doing is own thing and being goofy. Still I hope he gets a nice ending if his character isn't turned villain like Llhong in TharnType

Hmm you bring up a good point. I hadn't considered he might be sneaky. Though we won't know until later, but I'm curious about Kenji, cause it was obvious he was taken by Joey as well. And the time is kinda rushed, so 6months have passed right?
I remain hopeful for this series. It has a clear idea of what it's all about which makes its plot/storyline promising.…
Everything thing you said is on point! You're right, Nuan has been the only non-manipulator so far, but he's also been the least persistent in terms of pursuing Joey, which makes me think they are going with the nice guys finish last idea. Since you pointed out Jimmy's toxicity, it's like they love that kind of coupling, instead of showing viewers you can have non-toxic love interest or relationships in general
Three episodes in and I'm starting to like it may re but I'm also scared how they're doing this 180 with Jimmy just being super nice and possessive. With no in-between to show that "caring" shift other than being told off by his aunt. Also Joey isn't so pure driven, or isn't quite acting that way for characters to feel bad for doing those things, they are just some how instantly smitten with him. So what is with Jimmy is he trying to have his cake and eat Joey too? Do writers of these dramas think that a guy being possessive is a admirable character trait? Personally, I think Jimmy as a hardcore friend would work, but writers do get that love, caring and intimacy don't have to be romantic, as in boyfriend, but can be platonic. Joey's actor facial expressions feels like the betray the actual character, he comes off somewhat dickish at times when interacting with others, when you get that his character is supposed to be this "innocence" who's main goal is to pursue his education. At least he's not leading the guys on. He's stated clearly to both Will and Nuan that he's just not ready, kudos. Though Nuan is hiding something cause he was already suspecting Kenji of something; what does he know? With so many episodes left it could go anywhere. P.S. I love Joey's pride sheets on his bed, so at least his character is being acknowledge as gay, in my mind, not the typical "I just happen to love this one guy"
Ends on a cliff hanger. He does acknowledge him as his boyfriend, but it was intended to have a second season
I'm actually not sure. Since the first season stops about half-way through the novel. Taiwan is pretty good at narratives, so they might be able to handle it and make it less cringey so we shall see.

no problem. Apparently Taiwan is making the sequel, but from what I heard the source material gets dark, not in a good way, and it just continues to go down hill. :(
The idea that there are 50 gender identities is a fad and will seem funny 10 years from now. There are certainly…
ok let's look at it then. Let's drop the either/or thinking here. Fluidity, I believe, arose from the fact that binaries aren't the only sexuality out there. Don't misunderstand, I'm not saying people need said labels to "fit" in, I'm saying that having an Identity may help those who have grown up in a world that until recently thought, and in some places still do think "gay" isn't normal, of course now it isore normalized, but not all gay people fit peoples perception of gay (let's not dwell on that). That's just it, "q" at one point was an umbrella, but as people explore understand sexuality and sexual identity its meaning shifted. That's how language is. Yes it can feel overwhelming. You can't "fail to fit in" it just means that those identities don't fit the individual and that's plenty ok. I'm talking sexual identity not gender identity. So I should have made that clearer in my original comment. Again, looking at it as problematic gets us nowhere. The person who needs to Identify as demiboy decides that, it is what aligns with them. It is not for use to judge or ponder, learn accept, support and keep it moving (as long as it doesn't hurt themselves or others) Again, it is not or place to say, some people need or use labels to have a sense of self some don't, you appear to be in the latter, and that's fine too. If it makes you uncomfortable knowing there are so many different labels ok, but let people have what they need to have aore fulfilled life. Yes it's alot and yes some of it is rooted in binary, maybe that's why there are so many in existence now, or maybe they always existed, but we didn't have names for them. The point is, if makes you uneasy just say it, it's cool. Just don't generalize your opinion onto other, I certainly hope I haven't if I have I take responsibility, because what you consider a limitation, may be freeing to someone else
