I watched BML too and I loved her character there a lot more - I think it is just the way these writers have written…
Well, I'm your age and I'm the eldest child, but I think my feelings towards the leads is more colored by my career in local gov't. "Sexual Harassment Training" was repeatedly hammered into us, especially in the post Clarence Thomas/Anita Hill world. My gut reaction is to fear any workplace romance and recoil away from a situation between a superior (SW) and a woman on his staff (ES). This is so filled with "land mines", it's almost a no-win situation, no matter how innocent and consensual it is. To me, it's completely understandable for her to be intimidated by him and reluctant to share any aspect of her feelings for him with anyone, including her family. I don't think she's "slow", so much as she is somewhat uncomfortable in a serious relationship with him. He seems to be oblivious to this, which drives me nuts (but they're in another country with different laws/cultures). I know she's a great actress, so to me, it's just the script and the direction she's being given - both of which are inconsistent.

The character is really written differently. Although in between BML and this one, SangJi did get married and had some health issues, she's said to be OK now. So it's not her, per-se. It's ES.
ES is just another working-class girl who gets no breaks. And then she's in a relationship with someone in her industry who is more powerful than she is, so she's intimidated. Their relationship is asymmetrical from the start in terms of career and wealth, and she can't put this behind her. Adding to this is that she has to work with/for him. Compare that to her prior boyfriend who was kind of a loser too, and yet she was much more comfortable with him.
Personally, the ES/SW pairing never took off for me. No chemistry that I can feel, it just seems forced. But they've got to do SOMETHING to bring them back together and if they didn't already put SW in the ER twice before because of her (Hypothermia & head injury from falling lamp) I'd say the WTOD is coming for him to scare them all into forcing ES to rush back to him somehow. So who knows what angle they'll use? At this point it truly feels like the writers are just going off-the-cuff and winging it every episode.
FYI - the drama has been extended to 131 episodes - now ending March 22 - I am trying to get it all updated. February…
This show has more padding than my North Face Winter Parka.
Producers: "Writers! We need to add 10 more episodes per KBS orders!" Writers: "No problem, we have no idea where this show is going anyways. We'll just add in some more random cr@p to pad it out even more."
This was a treat to watch. Thanks to the team for giving it to us. And at only 15 mins per episode the re-watch value is off the charts. Review submitted.
That was really funny. He played her like a fiddle. Again, these writers can be clever when they want to. This is the most confounding and exasperating series I've ever watched.
Hi BT. TRHC was at least really good for 2/3 of its run. This show never really got off the ground. It's more of a repeat of AOME (it's predecessor of a daily). We're just waiting this one out because we have no life. LOL
Oppa! Oppa! Oppa! Good Grief! I don't think I ever saw ES get that excited when seeing SW. I thought she was going…
Contrast that to the sourpuss she had when she & EA ran into EH & SW at the tent cafe. Everyone was smiling except her. The only thing good about her lately was that black leather bomber jacket she was wearing. That was really nice!
So this Je Ha guy is suppose to be famous but ES didnt realize he had become famous?? Huh? I would think she would…
Another nonsensical moment from this elite writing team. Should have kept a running log of moments like this from the beginning of the show, as there have been at least a half dozen by now?
She is ticked off at HY for not helping get ES fired. I feel HY and EH are about to get a taste of what SW and…
I just dont think EH is going to give a darn what JA thinks. There's no real connection there in his mind. As long as the chicken fryer is happy, he's good.
I'm used to Kocowa having the unsubbed versions in the early morning (before 9am Pacific (US) time, but I'm not…
From my experience, Dramacool has the RAWs ready first thing in the morning here on the west coast. The subbed versions aren't ready until late in the afternoon...early evening your time.

But certainly not for THIS one!
Mannnnnnn. Give us our life back, KBS!!!

8.1 rating is way too low.
