In different news, I thought about this during today's episode which was such a filler episode lol. I think at…
Sher, I think you hit on something there. I will hazard a guess that when he realizes (by whatever means) that his sister is the woman that HY has been targeting...THAT will be the next milestone in the series. Maybe he'll tell her off (or just ghost her, because he's such a softie) and they'll part ways until the serial killer/WTOD causes havoc to her and unites them???

I'll watch tonight with dinner, because there's nothing else on, but I'm just unsure of what they heck they are doing to this show.

I wonder what the domestic audience thinks of this show? I'm getting heavy-hearted just reading the comments here from 65.

As the oldest child, I can understand your feelings, LOL.

Because for some reason the producers think the domestic audience craves this type of character. She's the 3rd one I've seen in the last 18 mos (HaeMi - TLIYE; SeJin - TRHC; and now HaYung -UF).

She looked so satanic in the preview smiling at ES crying face. I think I'll just go with the flow this week.…
Hi BT! Unfortunately, yes. Although her "plans" don't fail as spectacularly as her counterpart on TRHC. A better analogy is the jealous wacko from The Love in Your Eyes, who actually got violent with the innocent girl (although there has been no violence here yet, but she did put the girl in a dangerous situation).

What's more disturbing here, is her obsession and detachment from reality that seems to grow every episode. Even worse, she can tell she's not acting rationally and beginning to spiral out of control and she can't stop it. It's getting uncomfortable for me, TBH.

I'd like to know how are they gonna make this right if she's going to become apart of the family and get with…
Yeah, and this is why I say something REALLY traumatic has to happen to her if they are going to start any kind of redemption arc for her (which they HAVE to as she is still shown in the opening credits, cavorting with EH).

I still think the Serial Killer is the tool that makes most sense. They set it up too perfect: He's attracted to women that style themselves like her. It's too irresistible for a writer. You can have a lot of fun with that arc.

Other than that, all I can think of is White Truck of Doom -time?

Title Unpredictable Family Spoiler
Well, 63 had its moments....
My favorite was in the beginning when Dancing Grandpa (of all people) was making absolute truth in trying to knock some sense into EH when he brought the tipsy HY home. That whole scene was really well done...including the next morning when he made HY sit down for a talking-to (like it will do any good).
Plus, of course the crucial moment when JA meets with her daughter. Yeah, I know neither of them is the Flavor-of-the-Month now, but it was really well done, both actresses were on-point and I cried along with them. That is exactly how I wanted that scene to play out. When EA said 'Mom' for the first time, I couldn't help myself. I cannot begrudge a mother wanting to reunite with her children. Honorable mention to MG, for being there for EA. She came to him for a reason: Please, writers, put them together (although JA would not be impressed her first-born is dating a single dad who runs a cafe, but she would probably cut EA a lot of slack). As far as the whole HY/ES/SW arc, I just don't give a ..."hoot" (not the expression I want to use). I'm as sick of it as most of you are too and can't imagine what the actress must think when she sees her lines as she reads each day's script for the first time.

So, 63 turns out to be a landmark episode. I say that because we've reached our 2nd major milestone in the series:
1. Our leads (SW/ES) confess their feelings and pursue dating.
2. JA is reunited with her children.
3, ?????

So, what's next? Now that the long-lost children arc is resolved, I guess the "hilarity" can ensue? Is the next milestone is when the families all realize who is who? I'll repeat what I said earlier, I'm not sure what this show actually IS anymore, and have an even less of a clue where it's going.

I told Loelha earlier that I suspect it has. As a detective in the Violent Crimes Unit, you'd think his time would be occupied with that case?

His character is really an "odd duck". He's more like her servant than a husband. And it grates me that the only time he's been clean-shaven was when they were on the TV show (OK, I'm a grumpy old man). He really walks on egg-shells around CY.

Interesting they are going to bring him back. Hopefully not a romantic role, given his issues with that in TLIYE. Hopefully better chemistry with Ms Ham.

But what's weird is that was when he started falling for her, which I never understood. The way they are writing him, he is going to carry a torch for her, forever. Poor guy.

Something dramatic/traumatic needs to happen for her to snap out of it and open her eyes to the man who actually loves her. It may take awhile, sigh. I still think EH saving her from the 'serial killer' is a viable option but the silence on that, since the initial mention of the serial killer case weeks ago is not a good omen for that subplot.

She COULD be the serial killer, who is targeting women who look like her due to her own self-hatred. But now we're in thriller/murder mystery territory, and not something to be aired early evening. But it would be kind of interesting.

I was thinking of that as I wrote my post. I guess the serial killer subplot has either been forgotten about (turned out they didn't want to use it) or it will be saved until time to redeem HY and turn her to EH. I have no problem with that, except that it shouldn't have been totally omitted from mention in the meantime. We should be seeing EH & his partner active on the case, even in background scenes. Which makes me think it's been forgotten about and cast-aside.

Not to mention, of course, how does a serial-killer fit into a 'fun family drama'?
