I think that was just the plate of side dishes (sweet & sour pork?) in front of them, but if he swiped it from SS, then I like him even better!!!

The young actress playing JD was good too. That scene by the river was her shining light in this drama, except maybe for the funeral. She was really very good and believable.

Don't worry, it was only 'temporary insanity' and everything is just hunky-dory now!

One thing I forgot to mention is SD at the breakfast table praising JD for getting something from a rich person and KS repeatedly saying "abojei!!" I know it's terrible, but I was chuckling throughout, knowing that the SD actor is playing it up for laughs.

That was an interesting episode. The thing that stands out to me is that SJ couldn't bring herself to touch JD when she was crying. Hmmmmm.
And why on Earth is JD not asking to see her feet???? Have the writers forgotten about how obsessed JD was with her Mom's feet? Even drawing a picture of them??? Was it too hard to make up her feet to look gnarly?

NGL, I FF thru the LittleDong/YJ scenes. I know I shouldn't, but I want the best for YJ and he just creeps me out.

Was it something more than just a plot device to get her out of the way so JD could meet SJ?

Thank you Sara!!! I was saying that this morning, looking at the YouTube clips. PLEASE get him some collared shirts! Even if just a pull-over polo shirt for the summer. Heck, even scrubs (since he's a healthcare worker) would be better for his job at the Chairman's.

I don’t know about you, but in addition to just being generally pissed-off, I really feel betrayed by this series. I would never have started on it, had I known it would turn out like this. To me, that’s the ‘litmus test’ of whether a show is good or not: would you have watched it, knowing what it was about?

I’ve heard enough about YLAG that I would never go back and watch it. Yet, here we are, stuck with a stealth-YLAG show.

If the producers and KBS were honest, and promoted the show as:

“The story of a young couple that has to endure torment by their families for their decision to engage in a fake marriage contract. Every trial they overcome is met with another one that is even worse. Can they develop true love for each other in the face of unrelenting challenges to their relationship?”

I would have given it a hard-pass. NO THANKS.

Thank you, I absolutely agree with the Chinese fans. They took our feisty YD and neutered her into some kind of mumbling drone. She no longer stands with her hands on her hips, but with her head down. And yes, it's a one-sided relationship. One thing we all need to remember - during those 7 mos after the baby was born, she was having a fun time with Hee playing with the baby and working from home at their hideout. Oh well.

In IBN I loved the 2nd couple (the older one). That's why secondary couples are so important in a drama, and why this one fails so hard - we have no other story to fall back on.

Romance? None. Or terribly inconsistent at best. They are the most frustrating couple I've ever seen. They:
-Still use honorifics despite repeated attempts by him to drop them
-Can't be honest and communicate with each other (they keep secrets from each other)
-She still acts shocked whenever he kisses her
-They have the most awkward hugs I've ever seen
-They make unilateral decisions on their own, decisions crucial to their futures.

The only real affectionate feelings are between the ML and the FL's child. He loves her madly.

Them: "I was sick for 10 years"
Me: "when they took me out of the river I had amnesia and stayed in a small town in the countryside. I was lost for so long until I saw my picture on a food carton box and suddenly I remembered everything!"

I mean, at least they could TRY to write something believable.

I still bet on SJ dropping the bomb. Why else keep it hidden until now? And what's in it for HR?
If I was the writer (LOL) I'd do it in one of 2 ways: In a court hearing where she demands custody as the sole real-parent OR, JD tells her that she'd rather stay with KS/MR because he's her Dad and never abandoned her....where SJ then tells her 'he's NOT your Dad'.

I need to double check tonight's KBS America broadcast of the show, they've changed the promo and tagline to remove the 'rebellious teenager' and I think it's now "A destined couple that accidentally falls in love"

they haven't done the DNA tests because KBS blew their DNA-Testing budget in Three Bold Siblings, which must have had at least a dozen DNA tests done in it's 50 episode run, LOL. Someone who watched it can correct me.
