DH is in a tough spot here. Given the circumstances, he will be questioned on any advice he gives his daughter. But he just wants her to be happy and he knows KS is a good man at heart. (He was never enthusiastic about them being together, but he did approve). He doesn't see (thankfully) whatever bigger picture that CR does, or imagines she does. And given his life experiences, I'm sure he acknowledges the class differences between them, but it's not as important to him as true love is. Of course, CR would toss "true love" back in his face and compare it to whatever reality she sees for her going forward.
Is it just me, or have they changed CR's makeup to give her kind of a different look. I'm not sure how to describe it: desperate/crazy/determined/evil/ruthless????

KS is driving me nuts with his head-hanging and mumbling. ( I haven't seen 99 yet). It makes him look so weak and undeserving. Would you want your daughter dating such a limp rag? Please stand up straight and look these people in the eye! Speak firmly and convincingly of your love for MR and the things you can give her. I wish his Dad would see his behavior and straighten him out - I know he would (one of his few useful things in life is to give his son good advice, albeit with ulterior motives).

The thing is, who benefits now from that news about JD? HS used it effectively to shut down HR. HR knows if she spills the beans, any hope of a relationship with KS is thru, as they would figure out it was her that talked. I can think of only 2 options left - JD 'accidentally' overhears it said, OR, the missing wife uses it as a weapon against KS (for whatever reason).
But Sher, how do they balance his needing KS for healthcare vs. his wanting KS to have a job at HDF befitting the husband of the Chairman's granddaughter? This has me stumped.

Well EP 98 was the boys vs. the girls. And it wasn't a fun episode at all. The Boys: Chairman - He did everything I wanted him to do - especially in letting CR know that he knew they were dating. You knew he was going to give them the OK, once he told them to come to his room. Thing is: If he does move KS to HDF as a condition of him dating MR, who will care for him? This is a conundrum. HoSik- BIG PROPS to him for being KS's wingman in this whole thing. He did exactly what a friend should do. He's in a tough situation with a barely-in-control sister, but he DOES put KS's interest first. JaeHyeon - chill out, dude. Your sister's a grown woman. Go write a screenplay. KS - STOP STANDING THERE LOOKING GUILTY AND APOLOGIZING FOR EVERYTHING. He should not have let JH manhandle him like that - it makes him look like a caught criminal. And PLEASE don't clean up CR's broken plates and spilled porridge. STAND YOUR GROUND. At least he pushed back to CR, if gently. SS - WILL YOU PLEASE JUST SHUT UP AND DO YOUR JOB. JP - sorry kid, like SD said a few days ago: GAME OVER.
The girls: MR - don't lose hope. Some things are worth fighting for; this is one of them. Put your faith in your father. CR - I'm having TRHC flashbacks. And begging KS in your bedroom to stop seeing her was a horrible thing to do. Shame on you. SJ - BLEAH! Take your useless husband and lovestruck kid and move away. Like to Pyongyang. She's so dense she hasn't even figured out she needs JD to keep her son in line. YJ - OK dear, you've figured it out. Now what? Aunty Ding - The lightbulb finally came on, and she now realizes she may be MR's stepmom and KS MIL. Poor KS - but it was funny to see DH's expression when she realized this. He ain't saying 'No'.
So, as of Ep 98, we have rooting for our leads: JanDi, DooHo, Ding, HoSik, Chairman, YeJu. I'm not sure how many they need on their side before they can overcome CR, but fingers crossed!!!

I thought a missed opportunity in that scene was at the end, when HD asked if MR could guarantee that JD wouldn't be mistreated by her family. I was waiting for her to say "My Grandfather is very fond of JD, as is my Mom".
Although not as compelling as some earlier episodes, this was one of the most enjoyable: -MR standing up for her love and making a case for them to HD. -His walking her home afterwards, and the smile and look in her eyes as she talked to him. -HD giving her approval to the suited-KS to go and tell MR family. I watched that in disbelief. -YJ & Little Dong picnic. I'm still uneasy with him but that was really cute. I wish she would ditch the pony-tail for once and just let her hair down. She is such a pretty girl. That scene was beautifully lit too, in the late-afternoon sun. Their skin almost glowed. -HoSik spit-take when finding out MR went to HD's house. That whole scene was terrific, and HoSik & HoRang were PERFECT in it. Kudos to all the actors in that scene. -The bakery scene was the only clunker. I thought DH was going to strangle SD, right after Aunty Ding kicked him in the croissants. -The rooftop scene with SS & JH. Why were SS ears so red??? -And finally the end scene with suddenly-protective JH confronting KS, who stands there like a limp rag. We get a King-The-Land-esque "I was the one who pursued him" scene from our little tigress MR to stop the fighting.
